This 5-star review is for Maria's meticulous work. She is a great manicurist, better than any I tried in New York (and I only get Brazilian manicures). She was careful and precise white cutting my cuticles and the polish application was amazing. I know this manicure will last me two weeks without any chips. Obrigada Maria. Tip: if you want to tip your manicurist make sure you bring cash because they are not allowed to add the tip on your credit cards.

Upon arrival, I was greeted at the desk, told them (in portuguese since I'm originally from here) that I wanted a trim. One of the barbers introduced himself, offered me water or coffee. To be honest, I barely had a chance to look around. But the place looked nice from what I saw, with a fully reclinable barber chair. The service was excellent. He started by trimming and edging. Then he gave me what I would call a -- light facial -- with a scrub, exfoliate and a hot towel. He then used a vibrating massager and "massaged" my face and head. I was so relaxed and nearly asleep. Then he finished my neck and cheek area with a straight razor. Some more lotions and about 20 minutes later I was done. My skin felt very smooth and my beard was perfect!! It cost me R$50 reals, not bad at all.

This is without them brushing it into shape, etc. This basic haircut included a 20 minute wash and a 10 minute back massage. Cool, right? The guy who cut my hair was named André and he was a pro- did a fabulous job. Overall, the studio is clean, renovated and very professional. I couldn't recommend it enough!
