Aladdin is the sole proprietor of this wonderful barber shop located right in the heart of the charming Albaicin neighborhood just minutes away from The Alhambra and other tourist areas. He puts great pride and love into his shop. After a two week journey through Spain, my hair was in dire need of a trim. Aladdin cleaned me right up, and he has great technique cutting hair and also makes his customers feel right at ease. I enjoyed chatting with him and learning about his love for cutting hair and living in Granada. And, of course, I loved my hair cut. read more

I'm from the U.S. living in Granada for the next six months. I was worried when I arrived that I wouldn't find a Barber that A. Spoke English and B. Could trim my beard the way I wanted. Anyhow, all my worries were put to rest when I met Aladdin. This man is so skillful with his tools. I received one of the best beard trims of all times. I highly recommend anyone, especially if you don't speak Spanish, to visit Aladdin's! Plus he cuts your hair while listening to some great old school music! Five star service all the way! read more

Llevo 25 años en este oficio...aunque antes tuve que trabajar de camarero muchos años peleando por este sueño de poder ser algun dia el propietario de mi propia barberia... My family and I recently moved to Granada from abroad. There are many stresses that come along with relocating so it was nice to have found this barbershop in the Albaicin neighborhood where we live. It's easily accessible and a quick walk down from the popular Plaza de San Nicolas (and its famous Mirador). You can tell the owner takes great pride in his work and really does a great job. Coming from the U.S., this isn't your typical wham-bam 15-minute budget hack job. This is a top notch haircut done by an experienced professional. My boys and I look forward to getting our haircuts and for the service, the price cannot be beat. It also doesn't hurt that the friendly owner speaks Spanish, Arabic, English, French and who knows how many more languages. I can't recommend this place enough and wish I had an equivalent in our home city back in the States. read more

This is such a cozy barber shop. We were walking all along the Albaicin, snapping shots from the lookout point - literally steps away from "Barbería" - which offers breathtaking views of the world-renowned Alhambra palace and the landscape of Granada, Spain. My boyfriend was in desperate need of a haircut, as we had been traveling for some time at this point, and he was looking a bit ragged! We found "Barbería", and felt right home with the shop's owner, Aladin. Not only was he warm, welcoming, and friendly (he also speaks 4 languages!), but the haircut was on point! (I may have been more grateful for the new look than my boyfriend!) So the moral of the story is, if you ever find yourself traveling through this great city, and you happen to be backpacking with your unkempt lover, check out "Barbería". read more

Read the review from Lucas and wandered up the pedestrian walkways to the shop. Aladdin welcomed me, made me feel at home and went to work. My only instruction was that I had been traveling and needed about 8 weeks taken of my sparse and short hair. Trimmed beard, eyebrows, shaved close around ears, trimmed everything that can be trimmed and did it all with expertise. Best haircut ever. 15€. My wife warned me against going with any girls who saw me and ten minutes later in a plaza a tall, lovely blonde speaking with a gorgeous black woman gave me a broad smile at twenty paces, two thumbs up at ten, and then complimented the pizza I was carrying as a "Healthy breakfast." I think it was Aladdin's fault. read more

Aladdin is amazing in so many ways -- on a routine basis, Aladdin cuts my husband's hair and my son's hair (who transformed from a kiddo who could not care less about his haircut into a kid obsessed with getting perfect futballer hair). He is amazing with both adults and demanding kids who change their minds a lot. Why is he amazing? Because not only is he great at cutting hair, but his whole demeanor is incredibly warm, considerate, funny, patient and playful. He has created more than a barber shop, but a relaxed community spot -- a place people love to hang out and chat. On top of that, his partner Heather is equally wonderful and open and helpful. read more

Aladdin is fantastic! He has been cutting my husband's and son's hair for the entire year that we have been living in this neighborhood. Not only is Aladdin great with adults, but also with very demanding kids who want the latest in futballer hair styles in the middle school! He is incredibly warm, friendly and creates a very open and community environment. His partner, Heather, only makes the scene even better! We highly recommend this place for a great haircut, wonderful conversation and a chance to really get a feel for this fantastic community. read more

Aladdin is like the mayor of the Albaicin. He knows everyone, and everyone loves him, including my family. My two sons (13 and 10) wouldn't go anywhere else (if I wasn't bald, I would go too :-). Sometimes even when we don't need a haircut, we make sure to walk by the barberia to say hi to Aladdin and Heather. Always a laugh and smile to be had. Oh, and it's super affordable. read more

Best value for money haircut I've ever had. I had a really out of control hair style and beard after travelling for several months and the proprietor was meticulous, listened well (in english too) and really knew how to fix me up and look the best I have in a long time! Can highly recommend. read more

Tip: top barbaria midden in Albaicin. In een uur neemt ie je helemaal onder handen, knippen scheren en daarna voel je je een totaal ander mens, heerlijk! Een aanrader! Thanks Aladdin. read more
