Absolutely the best hair cut i have EVER received!!! Was visiting area for my son's graduation from Navy Boot Camp and dropped in to get cleaned up before the big show. Sat and watched the barber do a pattern cut on a young man, and the only thing I can say is this guy takes his craft and art seriously!!! It was a pleasure to sit and watch someone talented cut hair. As a 2-1/2 all over, I am not much of a challenge to cut, but even the neck taper and ears were perfect...better than I have ever had... The man who answered the phone gave me time later that same day to come in for the hair style. He then said I "had" to text in my name, phone number and appointment time to "confirm" the appointment. I've been coming here to 644 Barbarshop since they opened and it's the ONLY place I go. They are so reasonably priced and I've always gotten the best and friendliest service of anywhere I've gone. They not only do a wonderful job, but they always accommodate you in whatever manner you need or want. They don't have an Esspresso maker or glasses of wine while you wait like some expensive places I've gone but who cares about the superficial perks when you don't need them. What they do offer (in my personal experience) is exceptional service and stellar treatment by some of the best hair stylists I've used. Hector and Wanda are some of the nicest and most reasonably priced stylists I've ever had the pleasure to meet. So I drive myself the 20 miles each way to see them because they are well worth it. Since I've started using them years ago, I've told countless people who have commented on my hair and not one person I've told has ever had a bad word to say regarding their experience here. In fact, my mother drives from out of state to get her hair done here now (for a few years now) and the list goes on.... Just a small number of the people that now come here since I've spread the word are my wife, my mom, my sisters, my brother-in-laws, various friends, co-workers... Etc etc etc. Lastly, to wrap this up... They were on vacation once when I'd waited too long and desperately needed a haircut and couldn't wait another week. So, I'd gone to an incredibly reputable well known and expensive Salon near Wilmette (which is where I live... So yes, you now have a fairly good idea of how far I drive to come here) and I'd gotten a trim just to get me through a couple weeks until I'd be able to get my hair done like normal but the (nameless) Salon screwed up my hair so badly it took two visits to straighten out what the expensive Salon had done. Just got out of the chair with Hector, called in late for an appointment and was told he was all booked up but if he had any openings they would call me right away. Not 10 minutes later I got a call from him saying he texted his 3:30 to make sure they were coming and they canceled so the chair was all mine if I wanted it.
