I didn't have insurance, but it didn't seem to cost too much money to go there. When everything was all said and done, my bill was $880. For comparison, my one trip to the ER cost me $1,200 for basically an x-ray and a soft splint to hold me over. At Frenchtown Orthopedics, I had a dozen x-rays, two casts, and several visitations. Every time I went there, I was in and out in less than an hour. Melonakos recommended I get surgery on my foot since it was broken pretty bad and wasn't healing as fast, but I couldn't afford it. It took a long time for it to heal and be pain-free, but there was nothing I could do about it. With the $880 price tag when I was done, they gave me very reasonable repayment options: pretty much pay what I can within a reasonable time. They didn't add late fees or hound me to make absurd payments. I paid it off within a year. A few years later, I broke my toes and needed to see a foot specialist, but unfortunately, I didn't live in the area at the time.

My physical therapist Emily, DPT and Halley, PTA were both fantastic! Emily always explained what her plan of care was that included my feedback on my progress. She targeted my exercises that helped direct my muscles and ligaments and my brain, that were affected by my knee replacement. She has a gentle but firm touch. Halley, PTA is a great assistant, also gentle but with a firm touch. She helped immensely with my knee rehab and reducing scar tissue adhesions of my incision! I was placed in a room and was told what was going to be done. Since I had nerve issues the pins were put into my shoulders arm and hands. I was left in a room and was checked on every 15 to 20 minutes. Each session lasted up to 45 minutes. I was told my sessions were exhausted. It went pretty quick. Did it help? Not too much for my tingling and numbness but it was worth a try. I was glad to have the experience of acupuncture but it may help more for pain. I would suggest giving it a try but make no guarantees but every case may be different.
