The staff are easy to deal with and always happy to help. On a negative point, there is always a que for the cash machines. There was still a long queue for assistance by a cashier with only 2 trainees behind the desk and a supervisor fliiting about trying to satisfy everybody. There was no change available for local businesses,nobody seemed to know the answer to anybody elses questions and simply putting euros into my account took practically 15 minutes. Pure Fawlty Towers stuff.

Besides the appointment times, Laura, the lady that helped me open the account was not just friendly, but she explained everything very thoroughly and answered my questions. The whole process did not take very long and when that was finished I asked about how to wire money from my account in the U.S. to this account. She wrote everything down for me and explained the process to me. Glad she did because I ended up having to tell my credit union how the process worked because they kept insisting that I wasn't giving them the correct information. Since then, I have been very happy with my account (I don't use it very often), but I find it convenient to get money, pay in, use the card to book things that cannot be booked with an American card.

This bank is full of machines and only has 3 counters for customers to deal with actual people, of which quite often only 1 is open. The bank regularly runs out of change and is unable to provide the service we pay for as a business.

There's sometimes quite a queue to see a bank teller and if you want to speak to someone about getting a new account or changing aspects of an existing account, you usually have to book in advance. But this is pretty standard, regardless of where you go. A spacious, clean building with adequate customer seating, ATM machines and all the rest.
