This is a long over-due review for Stephanie. Can I just say Stephanie is AMAZING as a person and as a waxer. I've been consistently going to her for half a year and she makes Brazilians a walk in the park. She is so personable, funny, and FAST during her appointments. Stephanie is amazing!! My first ever wax session was with her. I was so nervous at first, but she was so sweet and reassuring. She explained exactly what she was doing and I felt comfortable the entire time. I've been going to her ever since. In the past 3 years, I never had a bad experience. In this time, I tried out her other services too (lash lift, eyebrow tint, etc.) and was not disappointed! I've always had difficulty curling my lashes with a lash curler (could never get them curled at a good angle or it would just look weird), but now I don't need to worry about that. I want to write a review of Stephanie that is as glowing as she makes me feel, consistently, 100% percent of the time. The quality of her work is impeccable. She is fast but does not sacrifice quality in order to rush through your appointment. I have very sensitive skin and had gone to many estheticians before finding one whose work didn't leave me irritated with rashes, etc. The experience is not pain-free of course but her excellent technique does decrease discomfort to a great degree. I live in Oakland but gladly drive out to Walnut Creek to support Stephanie because she is wonderful. Super personable, responsive and caring. Bonus, going to see Stephanie means you are supporting a WOC independently owned business (and why wouldn't you want to do that?) She's worth the drive! My normal waxer got a foot injury and needed time off. I found bare buns on Yelp, so I thought, why not? Reviews are glowing and the price is good. The online scheduling was a breeze. Stephanie is awesome too. She has numbing spray (which I really didn't need) and has the offer of using soft wax, which I got used to since I get waxed with soft. With some bubbly on, she got to work. (You get champagne). The work was done pretty quickly and she is fairly detail oriented. Wax didn't hurt too much, except as you know, it's always the lips that hurt. (Just skin, no bone) Of course, she is very clean and sanitary. She's got years of experience and working at the major chains before getting her own. First timers get a discount. Stamp cards are great too!
