I'll preface this by saying that I was indeed running about 7 minutes late for my appointment. But I could tell Lucia was ready to get off the phone with me and be done with her day (I'm certain I was the last appointment and she couldn't be bothered to accommodate me). First, the person I ALWAYS see is Kailah and I was never informed she wasn't available for my appointment and someone else would take me (surprise - it was supposed to be Lucia, who answered the phone thinking I didn't catch her name). Lucia proceeded to tell me I could still come in and see if I could be taken and I told her I'm at the light, she said I could cancel, so I said, "I'm literally at the light but if you say you can't then I'll cancel." So she said "ok I'll cancel thanks bye" then hung up. Ummmmm ... I need to make another appointment HELLLOOOO???? Nikki owns most of the Radiants in the Bay Area and this isn't the first time I've had a horrible experience with someone over the phone. I stopped going to the Walnut Creek location for this exact reason. Mariana was another person I'd go to, but apparently she's left. Once Kailah is gone, I'm never returning. First off the staff are great! Everyone has a positive attitude and professional skill. This location I'm told is under new ownership and whoever this is is an absentee player. I've sent 3 requests to reset my password, no one ever replies. The creepy AI bot texts you when you call and tells me "the staff are busy but they will call you back". They don't have time, with solid bookings from open to close. The owners before were fantastic replied in less than 4 hours. I don't want to quit and find another place but this is the most frustrating. The bot suggested I drive over to the salon! Everyone is friendly and it's really clean! Plus, it's easy to make an appointment, their location is great and there's a ton of parking. The reason for 3 stars is because I've been a few times and the last couple experiences were bad. Again, friendly staff and always clean but so painful, to the point where I still felt tender the next day. Don't get me wrong- waxing hurts, but it should not be that painful during or after; it's usually quick and you don't feel it after a couple seconds. Usually, by the time you get to the car, you feel fine. That's not the case here. Ultimately, they get the job done, so if you're in a pinch and need a same day or next day appointment, go for it. However, I wouldn't suggest scheduling with "any available staff" unless you have the pain tolerance of a martyr. Read the reviews and book with someone who others recommend. If it wasn't for the friendliness and cleanliness, I would've put 1 or 2 stars. read more

Thank God for the speed waxers at Radiant Waxing. Nobody enjoys this process, let's be real, but these ladies do everything possible to make it as comfortable and fast as can be. Not sure how they do it but this is the least painful, and fastest, waxing spot I've ever found. I found this spot after a bout with sugaring, which gave great results but the process was not particularly enjoyable. Here you're usually done in 20 minutes with very little pain. I go to Alison, who is great, but everyone here I've seen is reliable. They're also not trying to upcharge you or get you to come more often than you should. Just all-around great service and attention to detail and lots of attention paid to your comfort. A++. read more

Mariana is an absolute pro -- thoughtful, skilled, funny, and somehow both no-nonsense and deeply nurturing. I booked what I thought was a promo for a $10 manzilian, only to discover I had misread the fine print. Turns out... I had to pay full price, but it was worth every penny. She made an awkward and frankly intense experience surprisingly human. She checked in constantly, offered deep pressure and grounding after each "rip of the bandaid" and kept me laughing (even when I wanted to scream). At one point, I actually yelled "KELLY CLARKSON!" and she got the reference. Enough said. We had a beautiful, unexpected conversation near the end that stayed with me long after I left. I felt seen, cared for, and oddly uplifted. That doesn't happen every day -- especially not when you're half-naked and face-up on a wax table. Highly recommend. I'll be back. I have been using Radiant Waxing for the past few months. (Brazilian Wax) and have been very happy with the service and staff. It is always extremely clean and peaceful. While there is always a little pain with waxing sensitive areas, the pain has been minimal and the service is quick and the staff are well versed in the little tricks that help ease the pain (products used, pressure applied immediately after the wax .. etc. ) I have highly sensitive skin and have had ZERO reactions and no ingrown hairs. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very comfortable. I have had the pleasure of seeing 2 different ladies, Dayanna and Jenn. They are both wonderful and highly skilled. I would highly recommend either of these 2 ladies. They are quick and professional. I have been coming to radiant wax before the name change, for approximately 4+ years and the service continues to fail. I always get the same service Brazilian and every time I leave and return home there's patches of hair that remains. I'm spending $71 plus tip just to have a job that is incomplete. It's so frustrating time and time again. I don't understand what's so hard about removing hair that is clearly visible. Maybe I should bring a handheld mirror with me. And it's not just one waxer because I don't have a preference. I've pretty much have been seen by every waxer at the Concord location and they're all the same. The atmosphere is very welcoming. It's very clean. The staff is very friendly, but the job is not well done at all. Perhaps it's my fault for continuing to show up every month. I don't think I'm gonna be returning. read more

Got a Manzilian done for the first time in my life. I made sure to apologized in advanced because of how much I knew I was going to scream. With their communication, direction, and patience with my never ending screaming and rambling as a coping mechanism? The quality of this establishment and its workers is superb. It is the type of atmosphere that any person would want coming to their establishment for the first time or the thousandth time! Be sure to ask them questions about products, skin after-care, and frequency of appointments! I had my first appointment today with Yesenia. Previously, I was going to European Wax Center and I have to tell that temperature of their wax is horrible. I feel the girls are rushed to get to the next appointment. Plus, they are in the room when you undress. Now for my experience at Radiance. You are allowed to undress privately and ready yourself for your service. I loved this. Now to the wax, the temperature was perfect, no burning and no irritation. Another good experience at Lunchbox Wax Concord. I came in for my follow up session after 4 weeks which took around 20 minutes. Tip: the heater blasts in the private rooms and I believe the bed is heated as well, so I recommend wearing a shirt for your session. Parking: During the holidays, the Veranda Shopping center is very busy so if you plan to visit the center after 5pm, parking can be tricky. Products: After-care products are displayed at the front of the shop for purchase including buffing, lotion, body scrub and more. Restroom: There is only 1 restroom in the facility, an all gender restroom, which is kept tidy and clean. Though I couldn't figure out how to lock the door, but luckily no one else needed to use the restroom. read more
