The did a great job in replacing a rotten beam on my deck, but I can't give them 5 stars since they damaged the underdeck gutter while removing the old beam and then just left the damaged gutter on the ground and left me with an unfinished job. When I asked the crew if they were going to reinstall the gutter, they told me that they didn't have the expertise to do it. The company's position was that since replacing a gutter was not part of the quote they were not obligated to repair/replace it. I would expect that if a company damages something during a repair that they would at least make an attempt to make it right. Instead I had to find a different contractor to do the work that Barefoot should have done at a significant additional expense. While happy with the work they did, I was very disappointed in their willingness to fix an issue they created. read more

From the outset my wife and I had a great feeling using Barefoot Decks. Arley was great in putting our pricing together and keeping OUR budget in mind. Danny did a wonderful job keeping the construction on schedule. Jobani and his team were extremely professional in their construction. I have been in construction for my entire career and the crew impressed me daily with their attention to detail. Conrad is another team member that went above and beyond. Finally Tim? Unlike other builders, Barefoot were totally transparent with costings and realistic with timings. Arley came out more than once to discuss the very competitive costings and Danny project managed the build. Barefoot Decks just built a deck/ramp as an entrance to my screened porch (to replace a small set of stairs that was rotting) and a 2nd deck on other side of porch. They did a beautiful job and also stained and painted the two areas; and replaced my screen doors. Certainly added value to my home. Was a great experience with assistance in design, followed by an on site project manager and a hard working friendly team that showed up daily, on time and were a hard working. High quality job! To redo my deck was the best decision we made during the pandemic. After researching, we chose to hire Barefoot Deck for our enclosed deck project. They rebuilt my deck, added a gable roof and added an extension so that we can still have a full uncovered outdoor space. That was the best decision!! Arley was my salesperson and such a wonderful person to work with. Very pleasant and very professional. The deck crew was led by Chase. Jeff was the painter and he was great! Everyone was awesome!! The PM was Danny. We started the project in the winter and the deck was completed late spring of this year. We did not meet the original completion due to rain and delays with materials. They handled the permit and inspection process. Also, we decided to add EZ Breeze windows. Barefoot subcontracted that work. It took a while to get the install but it's due to Covid. They build a solid deck. Friends and family love my new space. It's my fav room in my house! read more

I'm really shocked to see the bad reviews on here, we had the BEST experience with this company. We've all heard horror stories about deck contractors (and contractors in general) but Dustin, David, and all of their employees were extremely professional and courteous and on top of their game. Dustin came out on a Wednesday evening and prepared a quote for us, spending well over an hour going over all of our options for materials, payment, etc. complete with spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations. After getting quotes from two other companies (and attempting to get several more quotes from other businesses) we knew immediately this was this business was the one to trust and ended up signing paperwork that day. The original estimate was that construction would begin in 3-4 weeks, but because of where we live and how easy it was to go through the permit process (and no HOA) we were bumped up and construction began the next Monday, and they showed up every day and were done by Friday. ALL trash was picked up the next Monday, and a final walk through with all final repairs was completed that week. We were beyond thrilled with the whole process and have been enjoying our beautiful deck every day since it's completion! Pros- communication, timeliness, professionalism, customer service oriented, payment is not collected in full until the customer is satisfied, 5 year warranty Cons- Seriously, not one thing! read more

They just completed a major repair on my deck and did an awesome job. They had to remove a huge hot tub that was sunk in on our second story deck and fill the hole with a matching composite. We had a sinking post supporting the hot tub which failed. They installed a new post and everything is now up to code and looking awesome! When we interviewed David (owner), we liked and trusted him to build an Azek deck. After completion and FULL payment of the deck, he was made aware of some issues that needed attention. After some time,and several call backs ( he even forgot about us once), they finally came out to repair the boards. They had to come out multiple times because they kept forgetting things. Had several deck boards that were factory defects ( should have never been installed) that needed to be replaced. They were replaced, but in the process, the crew was sloppy and damaged some of the other boards on the deck. Also, one of the replaced boards was cut short by a whole 1/4 inch. Dave did not want to take responsibility for his crew. We found gouges,extra empty screw holes and razor blade cuts by the screw holes. He also told us that scratches happen with Azek. Missing screws, missing plugs for screw holes, screws laying between boards and just overall sloppy and careless work by BAREFOOT DECKS!!!! Since he doesn't want to be responsible, he made excuse after excuse, instead of just doing the right thing!! The project began 11 months ago but have been trying to get this deck finished for the last 6 months. Dave said he will send someone out to fix the missing screw issues but will NOT replace the short cut board. What type of company does that !! He got paid already so he doesn't care. I emailed several times with no response. Finally after several texts to David, a response. As I write this, we are furious and still waiting for someone to finish screwing down some boards that are missing screws. Our families and friends will not use them but it would not be right for us to go thru this and not share our experience. read more

Called as a last resort for a quote and so glad I did. Pure professionalism from beginning to end. David goes over everything with a fine tooth comb and was first quote to present evidence of business license, insurance, and bond. Lowest quote I received but top quality work. Framers Robert and Sean worked in oppressive heat and through some bad rain storms to try to stay on schedule -- true craftsmen. Jeff Byers and his painting crew, super nice guys, helped coordinate colors that HOA restricted us to and did a beautiful job. I had a vision for the roof over my existing deck and they all made it come true. Would highly recommend. read more

If you want a deck that looks like a beginner built - then by all means use this company. As I write this I am filling nails holes (dozens and dozens) and going to have to sand and REPAINT myself. There are splinters all over the place, posts weren't left long as stated in contract so they came back and put blocks of wood on top of the railing (helped somewhat) but they are very rough! Finally gave up!!!! read more
