My twins where so tiny!! After 1 week. With c section pain and all. I went to barefoot photography. It was raining by the way that night. I drove about 1 and 45 min in traffic. But you know what? My friend referred Tina to me for newborn session and i've been referring her to my other friends too after i got my pics. First of all, the price is very reasonable and the quality is AMAZING ! We made appointment with her 2 months prior to my son's arrival and we sent her 10 poses that we liked from her website. She also recommended us to come early to discuss about the poses so she could make them unique for us. I dont really understand those negative feedbacks that other people gave Tina like this is not a daycare. Her job is not to babysit your baby or YOU, her job is to take beautiful pictures for you or/and the baby which she does very well. We will definitely come back when my baby turns 1 year old :). But after looking at many websites, it was Barefoot that really grabbed my attention. I wanted genius for my new granddaughter, Ava. After all, you can only capture "newborn" once in a lifetime. Tina's gallery of photos on her website were totally compelling. My daughter, the mommy-to-be, completely agreed. I arranged for a 2 hour photo shoot with Tina for not quite 3 weeks after little Ava was scheduled to be born (C-sections have an advantage that way). We hoped to get a memorable family picture or two that included her adoring big brother, 1 1/2 year old Drew. A big order getting a 1 1/2 year old to cooperate. It could have been nothing short of a miracle, but Drew had been practicing with Mom and Dad and already had a love affair with the camera. It was like walking into someone's home, a charming, early 20th Century Craftsman bungalow on a historic boulevard in old Riverside. There was plenty of parking in the back, and a stroller ramp (yep, a wheelchair ramp too) to make it easy to get our two precious starlets inside. Once inside, we settled down in her cozy waiting room with dark oak built-ins and large fireplace. Her assistant greeted us, asked us to flip through the portfolios and select some poses we liked while we waited. She gave us 6 numbered stickies to indicate our preferences. There were plenty to look at. Hard choices, so many cuties. We had a bit of a wait, but not too bad. But by then, I was beginning to wonder if a 2 hour session was going to be more than little Drew could handle. But shortly, we were escorted into the magical studio where genius resides. The studio? A comfortably warm, darkened room full of fun props for all occasions, drawers full of ribbons and bows, furniture, toys, backdrops, and fluffy stuff. If you see something you like, you'd better speak up. Some of our portfolio choices ended up not working, so we fell back on choices we saw during the shoot. Tina and her assistant, Angela, were all business. Very little on the niceties, this lack of warmth was a bit of a turn off. But frankly, I'd seen her beautiful work. As long as she used her artistic eye to get the job done, I figured I could live without that warm and fuzzy feeling. Once the family pictures were done, it was all about Ava. She prefers her newbies sleeping, and Ava cooperated to the fullest. Using a white noise box to keep Ava dreaming, Tina gently arranged and rearranged Ava, a malleable lump of clay in Tina's hands. Needing a little time out for a diaper change and a brief nursing break was to be expected and went smoothly. And although Tina made it clear she needed us to stay back and not hover, there were some moments when Drew was in the picture where extra Mom and Dad teamwork was appreciated. The final outcome was rewarding. Next was the return date to view our photos. We were escorted upstairs by yet another of Tina's staff, into a darkened room with a large screen and huge couch. A computerized slideshow made it easy to narrow it down to the final choices. My daughter preferred to get her choices downloaded to a thumb drive so she could make her own special creations. Not really any cheaper than purchasing a package deal of printed photos, but it was just what she needed. Ultimately, this was everything I had hoped for. Lovely poses, so many keepers. I just read the two star review above. Im sorry you didnt have the same expereince as I. I had Tina take maternity and later newborn baby pictures for me and I cannot say enough about the quality of pictures. I recommend everyone to Tina because she was very professional and I was happy with the outcome. Came with my husband for an hour photoshoot I had more than enough good pictures to choose from, I had 25 to choose from. You need to not be picky and let Tina do her thing. She's a professional and you need to trust her. Later for the newborn pics. There were 4 ladies helping with making the photoshoot perfect. I had 55 pics to choose from and they were all beautiful and breathtaking, one lady was burping my baby rocking her to sleep, one (Tina)taking pics, one holding up the blanket and the other holding a prop. They are so fast. They kept the room very warm for my naked baby. The quality of pics and quality of paper is the best. I was very picky with the editing and her husband as I were constantly emailing each other back and forth. He made sure I was very happy with every detail. I purchased two black leather books and spent about $2,000. They are expensive but I do not regret it. I knew what I was getting into too. I had tina take my sons toy story pictures , and I felt really Un welcomed it felt uncomfortable. She didn't interact with my baby she seemed like it was all just hurry hurry . And I was the one that had to interact with my son to get him to smile and all . But at the same time I felt like I couldn't even talk or make a sound . She seemed really rude and actually was she gave me a face I don't know because my mom was with me and we spoke a little Spanish I felt like it bothered her . She might not like Spanish speaking people who knows . But anyway some of my friends recently went and didn't like her attitude either she said she won't be going to her anymore . I found this new lady for Christmas photos and her and another Tina costumer will be going somewhere else because everyone feels like she's just really really rude . So my experience was uncomfortable and just didn't like the way she worked so I'll Never go back to her . read more

Tina & Angela are AWESOME!!!! Tina has been photographing my kids for 11+ years & she never disappoints. She has endless props and is always coming up with new ideas and her mini sessions are genius as it gives us a chance to get pics done throughout the year for the different holidays. Reading some of the other reviews is laughable. 1-this is a business not a friendship line where they have to sit and communicate with you when you have no life. 2-Her pricing is right on point, as a business owner myself I understand the overhead cost she has (employees, the studio, computers, props, her time & definitely her patience) If pricing is out of your range there's always Walmart people, JeeeeeezuS!!!! I have been following Barefoot Photography for some time . I finally decided to book a Christmas mini shoot. My only regret is not booking all my shoots with her . Tina is an expert at her craft . Our shoot was 30 minutes and I have 2 very mobile rambunctious toddlers. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get many pictures as has happened in the past but Tina delivered the most beautiful images. In the end there were too many pictures to choose from. We have done a maternity shoot, my daughters newborn pictures, mommy/daughter pictures, Christmas (for two years), easter pictures, Valentine's Day pictures... needless to say we love her. I want to preface this by saying, I am not writing this review to try and ruin this business. I only want to speak on my personal experience so that others can decide for themselves. Before I chose this studio, I had received several rave reviews about them from friends. I looked at the website and Facebook page and loved what I saw. So maybe my experience was a fluke. I saw that Tina was offering pictures with live bunnies in spring 2011. I booked an appointment and was very excited! There was a minimum order amount, and I actually had budgeted to spend more than that because I was convinced I would have too many pictures to choose from. I showed up early so that I could change my daughter into her Easter dress. I also brought my sister in law to help me. Baby was fed and rested and ready to go! But Tina was 15 minutes late. Then she had to set up. I did not complain because I figured she would add time to my 30 minute session....but she didn't. She also made me feel uncomfortable by telling me my baby must be hungry, saying her dress was too big, and telling my baby "why won't you sleep!" I personally, wanted her awake so we could capture her beautiful eyes. I left feeling frustrated, but figured all the pictures I had seen in her studio were great so she must have gotten great shots of my baby. I went back to choose the photos I wanted to purchase and was so very disappointed. There were about 7 pictures and then a few that were the same picture but colored differently. There was only one picture I liked. And I had committed to spend the minimum $200. I was furious, but I did not want to take it out on the girl showing me the pictures, Tina was not there. I reluctantly ordered my prints. I went back to pick them up. The photo quality of the paper was fabulous. Definitely not cheap stuff. But I was so disappointed I didn't have more. Before you book an appointment, just know that she does not give you digital copies or reproduction rights to the photos. I understand her point of view, but as a parent this just didn't sit we'll with me. I paid her to take them, and I paid for prints, therefore, I should be able to use my photos of my daughter. And we are a digital society....most people want to email and Facebook their proud pictures. In hind sight, I wish I would have spoke up and told Tina my concerns. Not to be nasty, but just to feel like my pictures and my daughter were just as important as every other customer. I did not feel that way at all. read more

Not so good at responding back...or ever .. I've been trying to contact this "business" for over 5 months now! I have called, left messages, emailed, and even wrote on their Facebook trying to get some information and contact from them...of course, with no help or response at all. I'm not looking for anything baby related, was just interested in pictures for my fiancé and I, and possibly a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for my husband to be. I can see that they really only work with babies, so, maybe that's why I was (am being) ignored for sooooo long. She used to have a whole boudoir section on her website, under "galleries", but, I just checked back and it's no longer there. So, maybe they want to specialize in pregnancy and babies now. And that's great, good for you, but the polite thing to do would be to call me or shoot me an email explaining. Didn't anyone ever teach you manners? read more

I am in quite disbelief of the bad reviews! I am a mother of 3 (7 year old, 4 year old, and a 19 month old) and have been coming to Tina for over 6 years, we have had over 25 sessions, yes 25 I'm that crazy picture lady!!! Now mind you not every session went great, some days my kids were tired, fussy and grumpy! But a majority of our sessions went great!!!!! However you have to have an open mind set that there's a possibility that may happen! There kids, and even more so when your trying to get more than one to cooperate. Pictures by no means are easy or relaxing. It's a long tiring process for the kids, mom and photographer! If you are trying to base your bad review on the "one time" you brought "3" kids to a mini session you ought to purchase a regular session so you are not rushed! I have done maybe 2 mini sessions (out of my 25) for that reason, I know my 3 kids need more time. I am so happy with all my photos. I have over 100 hanging in my home! I know sounds nuts! Now onto pricing, I have purchased digital and prints, sizes ranging up to 30x40, yup that's right ;))) The sessions that went not so well I purchased the minimum, the ones that I just loved which were just about all of them(we did have some bad days) I splurged! You really do get what you pay for, your paying for the wonderful studio, use of props, wonderful edits to the photos, and her time. You can't put a price on these beautiful photos. I let my thoughts sit over time before I wrote this review in case my feelings changed about Barefoot. But no, couple months later, and I am still pretty upset about my experience. First, the positives: the photos on their website were the type of style I wanted for my baby's pictures. Tina was also able to fit me in appropriately in their schedule. And the packaging seemed reasonable until I realized she didn't get any of the shots I wanted. The negatives: 1. Tina and Angela were not personable people in the beginning. I have previously worked with 5 different professional and amateur photographers for different events/milestones we have had. I have never not felt comfortable with a photographer, and with them, I felt rushed from beginning to end of the session and they answered questions in very short, abrupt responses. 2. Even though I was on time and was ready to go whenever they were, the session didn't start until 30 minutes into our 2 hour session, and it ended right on the hour. I'm not sure what they were doing for those first 30 minutes but I expected a full 2 hour session, especially when I didn't get all the shots I wanted! 3. Tina didn't get the shots I wanted. This was really disappointing because I had very particular ideas about the kinds of shots I wanted. I felt that she was over-confident in her abilities and only took 1-2 shots for each background, in which case, most of them didn't turn out (the baby was making ugly faces, or it was angled wrong). In the end I ended up settling for ok-mediocre pictures. Babies are only that small for a short time and I trusted Barefoot would capture these moments. My parents even volunteered to pay another photographer to take new photos, but the point was to get my baby when she was still a newborn and now the time has passed and opportunity for great pictures wasted. 4. It's a waste of time for us to come back the second time to pick out the photos. You could've just sent small versions with watermarks via email so we can choose them that way and not feel pressured within 30 minutes to pick out the right photos for us. 30 minutes is just not enough time! Overall, for the price I paid, I would've paid a little more to get someone that was more willing to work with me and the kids in a patient manner, less presumptuous/over-confident and more responsive. read more

We have been going to Tina from Barefoot photography for 8 years. She has captured my children growing up from new born photos, watching them grow their first year, Christmas photos, Valentine's, Easter and we have even had some beautiful off site photos with Tina. She has been wonderful to my children, they love her. I just have to mention we are going to see miss Tina and they get excited. She takes her time, she is patient and has a great eye. My children are 5 and 7 and they are busy kids. There have been a few sessions were I thought we couldn't have gotten any good photos because my kids were being toddlers and explorers. Tina was wonderful with them made them laugh smile and be silly. When I saw the photos we had tons of great pictures that captured my kids personality perfectly. My house is filled with Tina's beautiful work. Her studio had a family feel to it. The other photographer compares to her, she is great ! I am so happy we found her and use her. I will not go to anyone else. I recommend to anyone going in for the first time. Sometimes photos take time. I have been using Barefoot Photography for over 5 years now. I have 10 children. Tina has done multiple maternity, newborn, family, & individual sessions for my family & as far as I'm concerned, she's the best. She gives very clear, simple instructions & as long as you are willing to listen (as any adult should be able to do) & trust her you will get beautiful pictures. I have been there when the parents refuse to listen, demand shots that she states won't look good & have unruly children that won't cooperate and parents won't correct. I doubt anyone brings in a bigger, or more age diverse, group than mine & yet I have never once been disappointed in my pictures. Tina has even done pictures for us during our family's darkest hour and was so very sensitive, kind, and loving to our grieving family. My experience with Barefoot has been nothing but professional & excellent service in my more than 15 sessions with them. No other photographer will ever capture my family's special moments. And just a side note...disappointed people don't pay thousands for bad pictures. That just makes no sense at all. She also says VERY clearly that her turnaround time on digitals is 2 to 3 weeks. Very similar to the pics on her website and, in my opinion, completely worth every penny. Tina has a great eye and knew exactly what colors , wraps, hats, etc. to go with. She set everything up so it would be minimal changes for the little guy and has everything you could hope for in her studio (backdrops, props, outfits). She and her assistant Angela were very professional and we met with her husband today to review pictures and chose our package. The images were everything we hoped for and more. After being a customer for 4 years for my kids Christmas pictures and referring several friends & family, this will for sure be my last. Tina's unprofessionalism this year was unacceptable. On November 2nd she shot a mini session with my kids. While we were there, Tina didn't even interact with my kids to let them feel comfortable. She just asked them to basically sit & smile. My 3 year old didn't feel comfortable. So the few smiles my son gave weren't the best. I scheduled a follow up appointment to view my pictures. I ended up getting very sick & accidentally missed the appointment I had scheduled. I contacted & apologized to Tina & we rescheduled. I was on my way to the rescheduled appointment & got stuck behind a major accident on the 91 fwy & was literally going no where. I texted her 15 minutes prior to my appointment time with a picture of where I was on the fwy letting her know the fwy was stopped & I was probably going to be late. I didn't get a reply. So at my appointment time I still hadn't moved so I called, left her a voicemail asking if she would still like for me to come or if she would like to reschedule. Five minutes later I get a text telling me to pay my final balance & she'll send me proofs. I send her the money for the final balance & text her to let her know & ask if she had received it, with which I received no reply. The next day I text again asking when I can expect to receive the proofs, still get no reply until the next day. 2 days later I receive the link with the proofs. I choose which photos I like & send the numbers to her. No reply. Two days later I text asking when I can expect to receive my final images. I get a text the next day stating it's a two week turnaround & I could expect to receive them 12/2 & if I want them sooner, I can pay extra. I've never waited that long in the past, so I was surprised. I replied & asked if it was a new policy, yet again no response. I wait until the afternoon of 12/2 with no communication from Tina so I text asking if I'll be receiving my pictures as she promised, no reply. I call the next day @ 12:47, no answer. Leave a voicemail asking when I can expect to receive my photos & request a call back. At 7:30, I get a text stating the photos are being uploaded. When paying for a service, I expect more professionalism & better communication. You're a photographer that works with children and a mom of 7 who's website says they're great with kids but can't even make the client's children comfortable by engaging with them. I understand, it's a busy season but a customer should never have worry or question whether or not they're going to receive the services they paid for. A professional business owner would reply back or at least answer the phone when the customer calls during business hours. If you can't make timelines you created at least communicate with the customer so they're aware and know what to expect with their order. read more

I just finished my session with Tina and at first I was nervous really not having taken professional photos before and being plus size, I am body self conscious. But I wanted to document out first pregnancy. I came across barefoot photography on just a Google search near me. I read the info on the website looked at the gallery and just fell in love with the photos!! Now that my session is over I realized I had nothing to worry about nothing to stress about. I felt so comfortable even though I was in underwear and bra! I let her have total control over my body positions and even though I haven't seen one photo yet I know they will come out great, because Tina just had a way and I was mentally comfortable!! I used Tina for my baby's smashed the cake photography. Her work was okay. I really wish she would've put effort the very first time we went instead was focused on something else. Also, the minimum is 300 only on prints, not on digitals. Digitals are 400 for five pictures if you want more digital pictures, the price will go up. Next time, I'm planning of taking the pictures myself and save a lot of money:) I did love her props though! read more

My wife and I brought both sides of the family here for a gender reveal. It was absolutely amazing. They took her in first to get her comfortable and begin the ultrasound. We didn't wait long and were brought into a large room with a large couch that fit 7 of us facing a projector screen. We got to see the baby move and see the gender. It was a very good experience bringing both sides of the family together for a big moment in out lives. To all the mothers out there, let me share with you my horrible, expensive experience. I called and made an appointment 1 month in advance for wed. May 7th 2014 I paid the required $75 sitting fee over the phone with a debit card (the munimum purchase has to be $300.00). The appointment was going to be for my 3 small children a 4yr old boy and 22month old twin girls, i wanted to capture some good sibling pictures and also do a smash the cake session for my girls (for their 2nd bday coming up). I was advised i needed to provide clothes for my son, the 2 cakes for the twins and balloons. Appt. Was scheduled for 10am. May 7. I requested the day off work & had my husband take off day as well, being our kids so young its a team effort to get them ready and pull this off. Very hard with the twins. I was called day before scheduled appt. By brianna and she confirmed my appt. For next day. I had ordered 2 custom made cakes, paid for them and picked them up night before, I had bathed all kids night before & let the daycare know they would not be attending on wed. (even though i still had to pay for daycare), i was up at 6am went to go pick up balloon order, had kids fed by 8 & dressed, we had to leave by 9am to get there at 10am (we live an hr. Away), we are literally walking out the door and i get a phonecall from Barefoot photography saying sorry we have to reschedule tina is sick she has had a fever for 3 days. I was SO angry, i explained to receptionist Brianna i had cakes i paid for, me & my husband took off work, daycare costs,balloons paid for & they called me day before to confirm appt. So why did they confirm if she had been sick for 3 days...she could not answer me. I told her to call Tina and tell her ...we were already walking out door. Tina than texted me saying shw cant come in she is sick, tht she was open on weekends it wasnt her fault i took off work. This lady has some serious issues and lacking of customer service skills and ettiquette. After i expressed my frusteration and inconviences she texted me again she would agree to come in on a special day that works for me. After throwing some dates out and being declined and her requesting a 2pm (which wouldnt work for me, that is the twins naptime) she asked me how about sunday mothers day i said yes, she reminded me it was mothers day and if i was ok with that i replied back "yes that would make my day." She confirmed and said ok ill see you at 10am. So we move back our mothers day reservation for later in the afternoon, i put cakes in fridge, i make another balloon order. I than get a text from Tina Doane friday night saying, " you know kristin can we reschedule my kids are upset im not going to be here & plus i live an hour away, and if i just come in for one session its going to take up half my day." I advised her how i lived an hour away too, and how i rescheduled my day as well. I told her to just refund my card back. She texted back with "ok." No apology. The prices this lady has for pictures are super high in price (a $300 min.purchase required). The owner Tina Doane showed lack of remorse, and like she can careless of the inconviences and money she has caused my family and I. I would recommend NOBODY supports her company and instead seek out and give your money to a reputable,professional photographer who deserves it. *still waiting on $75 refund Im out my balloon purchase, 2 cake purchase, day care costs, and time off work for my husband and I. read more

We took our 6 day old twins to Barefoot Photography. We absolutely love the photos!! Tina and Angela did such a great job. They were so patient with the babies and really took their time to make sure each photo was going to be a good one. Now if your looking for someone who's very personable and warm and fuzzy it's not here. To be honest that's not what I was looking for I just wanted good pictures and that's exactly what we got! WISH I HAD LISTENED TO EARLIER REVIEWS... Pros: Great scenes/sets/props, all pics can be done on location Cons: Mediocre photography, not engaging with kids, very slow responsiveness (if at all) I should have followed the advice of previous reviewers. Tina is good for sleeping newborns because she only needs to position them and does not have to interact with them. She's probably good with adults/maternity... but if you have small children BEWARE. She is not engaging. She is not friendly or warm. She just snaps away and the photography skills are average. I took my three toddlers for a one-hour photo session. She ran 30 minutes late (OK, no problem). We took pictures of the kids - she didn't talk to them except to say "Look here... try to smile..." They are toddlers, they need to be engaged. She couldn't be bothered asking them questions, like their name, age, etc. She asked me to make them laugh and sit next to her so that they would look in the direction of the camera. My kids are on the shy side, but they love adults and are sweet and easy to amuse. They were totally intimidated by Tina. We couldn't get a single shot of them all smiling or looking at the camera (you can tell in every shot, they are looking at me, sitting to the side of Tina). They were miserable (and we have used other photographers in the past, who were great with kids, so I have a fair basis to compare). I didn't have my watch, so I asked how much time was left... Tina told me a few minutes, so I rushed my poor kids through a wardrobe change, she snapped a few pics and we were done 5 minutes later. It turns out we still had 15 minutes left and Tina short-changed us without apology or refund. Fast-forward to ordering the pics. I purchased all the digital files - a hefty price for VERY AVERAGE pics, but we went through so much effort to take those pics (new outfits, day off, etc,) that I figured better than nothing. I was told the digital files would be emailed to me after a week. It took no less than 6 emails and 3 texts and a post to her FB page to get my digital files 4 weeks later. (In fairness, she lost a loved one and took 10 days off in the interim, so I won't hold her to those 10 days... but still, 3 weeks for digital files is unreasonable. And I had to badger and badger to get any answer... They are happy to book your apt and get your money, but after that, you are on your own. Beware. read more

I went to Tina for my maternity photos and just had my daughters first christmas pictures taken by her as well. Im sooo happy with the results of both shoots. She doesamazing work and is very nice about posting up sneak peeks as well as client requests from ur portfolio to facebook for you to share with you family and friends. Ive had great experiences both times. With my maternity photos we had editing done on one photo and it took a little longer then expected to recieve my order but that was ok she wanted to make sure everything was perfect, which it was! And with our christmas shoot we arrived,, tina had a fully booked day so we knew theres a chance in her running a little late, no problem it gave us time to dress and feed and change our 7 mon old. She was great with her she had a few kid helpers which was perfect they all had my baby constantly smiling! And she was great about giving me still my full 30 min session and focused on my daughter and making sure we got the shots we wanted. We drive from OC to riverside for our order appointment... we were 10 min late..and they were very understanding and nice about the situation. We had so many photos to choose from it made ordering very hard they were all perfect! Thank you barefoot photography! Tina has done both my daughters newborn shoots and my family Christmas pictures, and all three sessions have been great and I love how all of my photos came out. They came out better then I anticipated. I booked one of her mini sessions and my daughters (3 month old and 15 month old) were not very coopertive I was worried we weren't going to get a good shot of them, but somehow she was able to catch a perfect picture of them! My family has been using Barefoot Photography for years, and every time I leave a session I cannot wait to see what Tina has captured. Her attention to detail and creativity is unrivaled, which is why she is so highly regarded among the professional photography community. This is evident upon entering her studio. It all started 8 years ago when I was thumbing through a local parenting magazine and stumbled across an ad of some amazing pictures captured of newborns and maternity sessions. I was in awe and mesmerized. It was from that point that I made it a mission to have this very photographer shoot some pictures that I could display in our home. Our first session was a "Mommy and Me" in an outdoor setting on a bed, under a tree w/ a hanging chandelier (what a picture perfect prop idea) Wow, this was a very easy process...went very smooth...have to be honest...I didn't feel like I was being very photogenic and was a little worried. The day we came to view the pictures...I couldn't believe my eyes...they turned out great and I looked like a natural. Tina worked her magic and took some very beautiful pictures of me and my 2 boys. Our second session was a few years later...a Newborn/Family shoot after our 3rd boy was born.....I came w/ many ideas in mind and shared them with Tina and in just a matter of minutes...Tina put all my ideas into action and made it all happen...it came together very well..and then some. I will say....the hardest part about the whole process was coming back to view the photo session because not only did a few turn out great....they ALL turned out AMAZING and I wanted them all but we were on a budget...I could of cried (matter in fact...I did) because she did such an amazing job capturing baby alone, all three boys together and of course the family.....it was really hard walking out and leaving many behind that I absolutely loved...but we walked out and had ordered many precious shots that I just absolutly treasure! We will be having another Newborn/Family session come August when baby boy #4 makes his debut (yup, you read it right...boy #4.) I didn't think twice about having Tina shoot yet another session of our family....I know that she will NOT disappoint! I have had many ideas for this up coming session with different poses/props and what nots... Tina is always there to answer questions, to listen to my ideas and bounce ideas off one another. I truly appreciate it...the communication and effort she puts into it. Looking forward to having Tina capture memories that will last a life time for my family...after all....the quality in her work and the photos that she captures exceeds beyond my expectations. I don't do these Yelp reviews often but when I do it's because I absolutely love the place and want to spread the word. I have been coming to Barefoot photography now for about three years and cannot say enough positive things about it! Tina has done multiple maternity, newborn and family sessions for me. In fact I see her regularly every 4 months for pictures so that I can hold on to the sweet memories of my three boys cause, as we know, they all grow up so quickly! The quality of pictures I have received at EVERY one of my sessions leave me speechless and are absolutely worth every penny!!! Tina truly has a special talent. Her creatively and her patience with newborns and children is amazing. My oldest son absolutely adores her and can't wait for "my Tina" to take his pictures. This comfort he feels around her I truly believe helps capture the perfect pictures. I owe her so much for providing me with the memories of my little men for years to come. I feel as though she has become apart of my family because she has shared with me some of the most monumental moments of my life. I also want to start by saying that I'm not trying to ruin the business; I am speaking on my recent experience... Wow...Her business has gone downhill! I originally had pictures taken in 2010 by Tina, they were awesome! I know many families that go to Barefoot Photography for all different kinds of pictures. Tina is known for great photos and tons of props, although this will not cut it. Tina is going to have MANY complaints if she continues to run her business like she currently is. My husband and I recently went to the studio to take pictures; right off the bat there was several things wrong. Tina was late to the studio, the studio temperature was awful (we were literally dripping sweat during the shoot), helped herself to water (and paid no attention to the pregnant woman that was extremely hot), made several inappropriate comments during the shoot and was not personable at all. We then had to go back to pick photos from the session. Not only was I not happy with all of the poses she positioned us in there were not many to choose from. We agreed to the minimum purchase price so we were stuck with purchasing photos that we were not happy with. In addition, you are only able to purchase digitals for a costly amount. Be aware Tina does NOT include digitals in her packages. Picking up the photos... I called to confirm that the studio was open so I could pick up the photos, not only was the woman on the phone extremely short she had a very rude tone. I arrived to pick up the photos... I was asked abruptly what my name was and was rushed back out the door. I was not given a thank you, a "hi" "bye" anything. Tina was also in the room and couldn't even acknowledge me standing there. In my opinion for a business that charges the amount they do at least a "thank you" would be nice. There are MANY talented photographers (and on that note- that are closer to us) yet we chose Barefoot Photography by Tina Doane so I expected to be treated with kind customer service and exceptional work. I suggest before booking a session or paying the outrageous pricing you make sure this is the kind of business you are willing to deal with. What an amazing studio. We traveled quite a distance to get our daughter's pictures done by Tina. We had seen her work and really wanted her to do the pictures. She did not disapoint us. The pictures turned out amazing. She has such an eye for posing and shooting. Tina was so sweet and addressed all of our wants and needs. Yes we could have gone to a closer studio, and yes we could have paid less. However the saying is true that you get what you pay for. We are still in awe of the pictures. They could not have turned out any better. All of our friends and family constantly comment on them. We will definately use Tina again. read more

Tina is AMAZING!! I have been coming to her as a client since my 2nd pregnancy. I now have 4 children all photographed by her. Maternity, newborn, toddler, and older children. She has patience and takes the absolute BEST photos! My house is a Barefoot Photography shrine. The pictures and moments she captures are brilliant, of course her work is pricey but damn well worth it! You get what you pay for in life and I have never had remorse for paying for her work.
