TODAY, in the year 2026, I can tell you that this is NOT the reasonable "THRIFT" store they used to be and they use Christianity as a front for simple GREED and explotation of customers........ The new manager "Ashley", who was fired from the old Youth Challenge Thrift Store in Hilton, that has since moved to Williamsburg, for "money continually coming up short". But, amazingly, TROY, the manager from the main office, hired her after she got fired, and they both have quite a scam going with ridiculously high prices on everything looking up items on their "phones" and putting the first jacked up price someone "wanted" for an item, but didn't sell......from years ago ads.... But, the clincher is "CROOKED TROY" has gotten mean and nasty with customers when they question the ripoff prices displaying a nasty attitude instead of being professional, but he is a "Christian'??...Yeah, right! He fired the former manager "SHAWN", for absolutly NO reason. Shawn was nice and put fair prices on items, but TROY did this just to hire "CROOKED ASHLEY".. I wonder how they can afford their nice cars they drive?......Former employees have told customers that TROY and ASHLEY have a nice racket going on manipulating the "financials", if you know what I mean, and have been doing so for quite awhile, and The Rescue Mission "BOARD", Administrators and CEO do NOT know about this!......Maybe, they should!!.......They both are getting RICH, while the people, who are supposed to be helped, and honest customers, get gouged and taken advantage of. Again, this is NOT the fair, nice thrift store of the past.....It is now just an overpriced, embarassing, disgusting and crooked business, using religion to fleece customers.........Go look at the prices for yourself! I was quite turned off by a reaction on…read moreof the workers had to a lady who said she couldn't justify paying almost retail for a 2nd hand skirt. While I was looking around I did notice several outdated and retired handbags that was way over priced. For my first and last visit in I was not impressed. The girl behind the counter could barely get off her chair, rude for someone coming in. Just no smiles and juts overall an unfriendliness vibe in the store. I won't be back!

I was browsing the books and suddenly the fluffiest floof of a cat came wandering up. She was very friendly and sweet. Later we talked to an employee who said the cat is named Serena and is one of 40+ feral cats that they take care of. They got them all fixed and continue feeding them behind the store. If you donate $5+ towards feeding the kitties, you get a 20% off coupon! As for the shopping itself, I was impressed by the prices. I got a fabulous vintage suitcase for $5, and several books for under $5! Literally my only complaint was that they wrote the price of a vintage antique book ON THE COVER of said book. OOF. When I checked out, someone else pointed out that denim was excluded. 99% of the shorts in my size we're denim. I'm sure it was an honest mistake and I still got half off, so price wasn't an issue.....it just seemed a little picky to have a list of exclusions to a summer sale. This is a thrift store, not Ulta or Penneys.

What an amazing place! There is so much here…read more There is two levels and a large amount of square footage to cover. I spent about 45 minutes inside wandering around. Exploring from one room to another checking out so many treasures. Pricing I pretty reasonable in so many of the booths. There are times that I just get discouraged when prices are so high that I just never return. I'm always looking for the next treasure. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We were greeted warmly when we walked in. They helped us with any questions we had Not only are they amazing they support other businesses around by passing their name to customers so they can keep on finding treasures. I'll return many more times in the future!

Over these years I have often found great deals. Several times I've come here due to having a fancy upcoming event and not wanting to pay full retail at one of the higher-end department stores. Often I find what I need. Not every time but often. I found that all the items were in good shape, so I assume when the staff intake items they weren't taking in junk. As for service and staff. They have always been helpful. I have seen them have 3 or 4 folks at the register and the line takes a bit but that's just how it is. Now I have never consigned with them so I can not share that experience. So if you looking for great items and not looking to spend a small fortune - come here and give this place a look.

They have a large back room as well as a few items in the front and two smaller rooms off the back with dresses, shoes, and blazers and jackets. There were some great deals to be had here on name-brand items and we had a good time looking through the wares. I used the fitting room and spoke to the ladies up front for a while and everyone was helpful and friendly. There are not any men's items inside so we didn't look for a terribly long time bc my boyfriend couldn't find anything for him. There are gems to be found - but it's all used clothes and accessories so you need to know before you go.

I had always wanted to stop in and check it out. I happen to be selling and old humidor that they were interested in. So I came to her. I had no idea that this is where so was going. I was happy that I took the time to take her the humidor. After I sold it to her, I walked around for about 15 minutes checking everything out. I loved what she had in there. A lot of antique items including some primitive pieces. There is booths in the back for people to rent... I assume they rent them. Staff and others there were so nice. They were great at keeping a nice conversation. Pricing is good. Nothing unreasonable. These places you have to visit at least 2 times a month because they are always getting in we places. The owner inside was friendly and said come on in and take your time. She explained that they had different rooms inside and all were rented out to different vendors who had their own style and items for sale. WIN! Just my kind of shop. This shop is much larger than expected with something like 10 rooms inside and they all do have a very different feel. We found antiques, glasswares, books, stuffed animals, watercolor art, wall art, furniture, jewelry, beads, geodes, you name it, it's probably in here. We actually stayed for the entire 40 minutes and everyone found something to purchase. The vibe was easy and unassuming and the owner left us to browse without hovering at all. She easily said to go upstairs and take a look as there were some rooms up there too and she stayed at the front while we browsed. The side right off the main entry has a space where she said during summer she serves Lolly's ice cream flavors from the VAB area (noms). I saw easily like a dozen things I could've purchased but I'm trying to make better choices so I abstained, but if they're there when I come back to run a race in two weeks I'll call it fate and probably get them, ha! Such a neat shop!…read more Basically people rent out sections in this little house to showcase their products. It's all local and items are either handmade or vintage. It was really awesome going into each room of the house and seeing what products there were being offered. There were pillows, decor, clothing, vintage items of all kinds, vinyl records, jewelry, etc. I guess you could say it's kind of like a flea market in a sense. Definitely a great place for unique finds or gifts!
