Phinit gave us options for the food and we ended up having a whole bunch of delicious appetizers, his vegan duck, beef massaman, chicken green curry, and shrimp... to name a few. Dessert was a family recipe coconut cake that was absolutely stellar. its still in the freezer for the anniversary! The food is always excellent and so is the service... but what is best about this place is how they make you feel like family and just do everything to take care of you. My red Thai curry with tofu was very tasty, with just the right amount of heat, blended with Thai spices. It could have done with a little more tofu, but was packed with fresh veg. The coconut rice was sweet and maybe a little overcooked, but that happens to be just how I like it. The curry puffs were deliciously crisp on the outside, and although the chilli sauce seemed ready-made, it went very well with the pasties. I really loved the food from Thai Tulips and would thoroughly recommend it if you're in the area looking for a takeaway meal.

Luckily they found a table for us and we sat down to browse the menu. There's a pretty huge selection to choose from. I picked an Asian wok noodle dish, and my husband decided on a pulled pork pizza. Both meals were pretty good (I'd give them 3 stars each) and very filling. With drinks our order totaled to about $55 AUD which is considered pretty affordable/average here. The vibe in the restaurant was lively and family-friendly. As we got set to leave, there was even live music starting. Not sure what else is in the area, but as far as food goes, Spotted Dog Tavern is a decent choice for dinner if you're passing through.
