If you are in Hervey Bay and you like Chinese, then this place is quite exceptional. I have always…read moremade it a policy, when in a Chinese restaurant, to always order Dim Sims and Beef and Black Bean sauce. Because they are my favourite Chinese meals and it gives me something to compare. If I get nauseous or ravenously thirsty then I don't go back. To my delight none of this occurred. There was some minor dispute over the temperature of the food so for that reason I couldn't to five stars on that occasion. So I had to go back. Because in my opinion the food was delicious. On both occasions the restaurant was packed and as can be seen from the photo that I have up loaded it might be advisable to book a table. On the second occasion that I went there, again, the food was delicious been reasonably priced. In the years that I have lived in Hervey Bay I have found this restaurant to provide the tastiest of Chinese cuisine.

Places were just reopening from covid and we were glad to see this jewel still in business. We talked to Doreen and Phinit a few days before it happened and Doreen painstakingly cleaned, laid out tables, and decorated the place. It looked lovely. Phinit gave us options for the food and we ended up having a whole bunch of delicious appetizers, his vegan duck, beef massaman, chicken green curry, and shrimp... to name a few. Dessert was a family recipe coconut cake that was absolutely stellar. its still in the freezer for the anniversary! The food is always excellent and so is the service... but what is best about this place is how they make you feel like family and just do everything to take care of you. Some pictures are attached, though they dont do justice! I would highly recommend stopping here for a meal, or asking them to help host your next event. The price is extremely reasonable and the quality of food for what you pay punches well above its weight.

The restaurant itself looks lovely but was empty (on a Wednesday night in the small town of Bundaberg, so not overly surprising). We ordered our food from the menu and enjoyed the pleasant seating area while we waited. The staff were lovely, and I'm sure would provide great service if you ate in the restaurant. The food was ready pretty quickly - in around 10 minutes. When we tucked in, it was absolutely delicious. My red Thai curry with tofu was very tasty, with just the right amount of heat, blended with Thai spices. It could have done with a little more tofu, but was packed with fresh veg. The coconut rice was sweet and maybe a little overcooked, but that happens to be just how I like it. The curry puffs were deliciously crisp on the outside, and although the chilli sauce seemed ready-made, it went very well with the pasties. I really loved the food from Thai Tulips and would thoroughly recommend it if you're in the area looking for a takeaway meal.
