With multiple calls and emails that have gone unanswered we are now scrambling to find someone to do our taxes just shy of a week before the deadline. Super disappointing and super unprofessional. It took her a…read morefew days to return my call, but I honestly expected that because I waited til the last minute. So I kept my expectations realistic. I think people often do not take into consideration that this is 1 accountant doing taxes for tons of customers. It is best to be mindful of this. Anyway, she was extremely professional, but most of all thorough and that was just the consult. I appreciated AND needed that, as my situation was a very unique one. She was very honest, pleasant, professional and kind to me via phone and in person. For those reasons alone, I give her 5 stars.

My father used this business for several years after he stopped doing his own taxes. My sister and…read moreher husband also use this business for their personal as well as the beach house she and I share after the death of both parents. About a month ago, my brother-in-law said he would have some paperwork for me to add to my taxes and would get them to me as soon as possible. Since he is busy and it is getting close to crunch time, I decided to call Fargis myself to get whatever documents they may have for me. I called and was transferred to a woman who did not identify herself. I tried to tell her what I needed. And this is what she said to me: "YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD..... WE DON'T DO DEAD PEOPLE'S TAXES." I was dumbfounded. I am still grieving the loss of my mother. There is absolutely no justification that this would be appropriate to say to anyone. Later, I called the office back to speak with Mr. Mike Fargis himself. He was very apologetic, but when I told him the exact words said to me in such a cold, heartless way, I thought the man was going to have a heart attack. By the end of the conversation, I was in tears. I told him I would never forget those words or that she would say them to anyone in such a callous way. I could get her name and post it but it doesn't really matter who said it. What matters is that anyone in that office represents the business, thus the owner, and if they condone this way of treating people, it is absolutely unacceptable.

I absolutely love this firm! They do all of our year end and quarterly taxes. They are great to…read morework with and always get the work done...even when I'm not so good at getting everything to them on time! Everyone in the office is polite and so easy to get along with...I highly recommend them!
