It's open super early, like way before the roosters come out to cock-a-doodle-do. This place is not just good for basic off-licence needs. Their magazine selection is impressive. Their publication section takes up nearly a quarter of their shop and the titles that they carry range from basic Sun to highly stylish Tank. So, if you're on the go and you need to handle business, but you'd also like something good to read on the bus, this is the shop for you.

Where it once had loads of room to walk about and one could decided how much money they could justify spending (for the third time that month...!), its now really packed with hardly any room to walk. Broadly speaking non fiction is upstairs (some sections here are poorly stocked- I've always found the languages section especially poor). The most positive factor in the store are the staff; this is definitely the store to go to if you are not sure about a title, etc. as they will go out of their way to track down what you are looking for. If however you are buying a best selling book they will usually be much cheaper at Sussex Stationers about 200yards further down the shopping precinct.

He used to put a cheeky smile on my face before the journey and no amount of fanciness, ice cream or sweeties can make up for that. Especially considering the misery guts who has taken his place. A word of warning though, there's usually huge queue on a Monday morning so either get it the night before or be prepared for a long wait - this has often made me late for work. I love this little newsagent's... it's always been really handy when passing through Clapham Junction.
