Ive had my dogs all groomed here for years! my appointment tomorrow (April 23rd) is at 1230. I received a reminder text on April 21st at 923 am saying they needed my dogs uploaded rabies vaccines. I CALLED FIVE TIMES ALL DAY AND NOT A SINGLE PERSON ANSWERED! I LEFT A MESSAGE! NOT A SINGLE CALL BACK ALL DAY! I asked for their fax number to see where I could have my vets send the paperwork to as my vet office has a 24-48 hour records release time frame! by the way, the last time I was there a few months ago it was immediately after both their vet visits and I had the paperwork on me! I asked the receptionist to scan them and she said oh you're not due! no worries we don't need them! now 3 months later, it's April and they need them immediately. after the reminder text I got today at 1003am, with still no call back, I got another reminder message that they needed my records. so I responded with, "I think I need to cancel Bella's apt as I'm not sure I can get the record by 1230 tomorrow." the receptionist didn't cancel my apt but instead said, "she thought I'd get her the documents and kept my apt." all of this to say, when I told her I can't get her the documents in time she responded with, you're gonna get charged a rescheduling fee of $25. are you kidding me? then went on to say they were having phone troubles. ok so wait, you're having business issues that interfer with customers being able to manage what you require for them to come, AND CUSTOMERS ARE SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR THIS? NOT INTERESTED. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND ANOTHER GROOMER, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT CONSISITENT. I wish I could upload our text messages, because they even said while trying to charge me, "a lot of customers are really upset, you're not the only one." Oh that's so smart to charge them then lol for your business issue's. Great business tactic lol we shall see how many stay! Update: Owner responded by posting a Google Drive link instead of addressing the issue directly. That alone speaks to their communication style.

The groomer did not come out and talk to me like they did in the past, and did not give out a report card, but that's not such a big deal again I know times have changed since Covid. It was rather expensive for just a bath, nails and (I guess they did anal glands), and they explained a haircut is 80-90. Wow! Too much for me. Unfortunately what is making me feel like I don't want to go back, is that I paid what I consider to be a lot of money these days to have my dog bathed because she stunk. Unfortunately the only difference I am noticing 24 hours later is that instead of smelling like Doritos, she now smells like a wet dog. I noticed that smell when I picked her up but I just assumed it was because she was still drying off a little bit, as they did do a really nice blowout, but it's natural to still smell a wet dog. However, now 24 hours later, she still smells like a wet dog with no hint whatsoever of dog shampoo. I know what a groomed dog is supposed to smell like, and this is definitely not it. I am sad to say I probably will just go elsewhere that is closer to my house anyway it's not really worth the drive.

I was a satisfied customer from fall 2025 until this month (August 2026) when one of my dogs came…read moreback from his grooming appointment and my husband and I could see that some of the trimming we'd asked for had not been done, so we had to take him back the next day. When we brought the dog back they seemed to admit that most of the grooming process hadn't been done at all the previous day. They didn't charge us extra, but the previous day they were just going to let us leave with an ungroomed dog without saying anything, after he'd spent the whole day there, which is unacceptable. To top it off, after the second day in a row our dog spent all day at Clip and Dip for grooming, he has huge knots all over his body. I was aware he had a few knots before the appointment but instead of snipping them out like is standard procedure, they made the knots bigger and created many new knots. What was once a good business with nice people and good prices is now being unprofessionally run and they seem to have people with no grooming skills handling the dogs. Despite my past positive experiences I can't take a chance on them again for wasting two days of our time and mangling our dog's coat so they have lost our business and I would advise others to be cautious.

He was rude when I told him who I was I waited patiently while he tended to the other customers there then he rudely left me in the waiting room to speak with TIKA on the phone, and when he came back he told me that TIKA said no refunds and that I don't have to ever come back there again so a very nice until you have an issue with their services right? The way that manager treated me was disrespectful, and I do not recommend this location at all. I don't even wanna give it a star, but if I don't, I can't post so no that this is really a zero star not even worth one star.

Nails weren't trimmed, was told they couldn't do it. So my fiancé brushed him and took pictures to show the people here that they didnt do their job and still charged us full price. So she goes back just to be told she won't get a refund and we don't ever have to bring them back here. And I promise you, we won't. They fake like good people, but turn ugly as soon as you call them out on their negligence. Hope this saves someone from wasting time or money here.

First I would like to say that they do a good job but if you're 15 minutes late to your appointment they will charge you $100 to book the next appointment. If I had known this they would not have received another penny of my money but my wife took that call. We were on a cruise with no service to receive reminder messages and they would not waive the fee as we are on time to every other appointment that we have had with them. Once she paid the $100 and rescheduled for a few days later they decided they would call us and ask us to come in a hour earlier than our appointment. Seems single sided to me as we can't be 15 minutes late but they can ask us to inconvenience our plans to come in an hour early. We declined. I will continue to spread the word throughout the Vinton community in hopes they remove this ridiculous policy that they have in place as we are human and we forget things and sometimes late and not perfect once again we have been on time to every other appointment. The employees kept saying do you want to speak with the owner but the owner never come out to address the situation and stayed in the back while I got my dogs. REMOVE THE $100 LATE FEE POLICY! My wife was told they blocked off 9am-12pm to groom our dogs but could not take them at 9:15, doesn't sound right to me. They did not use that amount of time when we rescheduled. They called me soon after and said they were unable to groom since he was too jumpy. They said the groomer was experienced. But they left him with a bare shaved place on back hind quarters and they stopped. I have been bringing my pets to…read morethe Altavista Animal Hospital for years and both I and my pets have always been treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. One of my cats had to be put to sleep several years ago and they worked with me to get it done as compassionately as possible and then I actually received a sympathy card from them a few days later. Truly caring and compassionate and I firmly believe that my pets are happy and healthy today because they are under the people at this facility's regular care.
