Unfortunately, we were met with a pretty disappointing experience. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was that it was pet-friendly, but as soon as our dog entered our room, he made a beeline for under the bed. We looked, and found a disgusting scene of hair, trash, and a mysterious container. My husband opened it, and it was a strange beige putty (?) substance. The floors throughout the room were so filthy that our socks and feet turned black from walking on them. And that hot shower we were so excited to take? All of the plumbing, from the sink to the toilet and shower, had rusty brown water coming out. If you are looking for a a clean stay on the road, look elsewhere! There are many surrounding hotels in this area, and unfortunately we chose wrong.

We stayed in room 126 and it was very clean and well taken care of. I have not seen any maintenance issues at this point. Plenty of room in our King suite, towels are plush which is very nice. Coffee is available all day. This is a corporate hotel, so I was a little taken aback when I was told I will have a $100.00 smoking deposit added to my account which is refundable. In all the hotels I have stayed in over the years never once have a had to put a deposit up for not smoking. Also when checking in I get the response the computer is slow, electrons move at the same speed all the time. Maybe the manager and corporate need to get together and get more band width for their system. For breakfast they had the standard fare, no decaf coffee on the coffee line have to ask for it and they will make it at that time. decent place and good stay will stay again on the return trip most probably.

Floors and showers have not been cleaned in weeks and there is probably half an inch of dead bugs on the outside patio. Your feet crunch all the way in. Plus the outside doors do not lock and the bathroom and shower stall doors can't be locked either. Also, eliminating some of the signs at the entrance would afford a more welcoming atmosphere for campers. It's like a slap in the face when you drive in! Great fishing, lots of room, trails, beach, boat launches but hardly anyone here . This place could be a great campground and a really moneymaker if someone with experience would pay attention to some of these details and make some pretty simple changes.

At any rate, the park was clean and quiet. Got a full hook up for our RV at a reasonable price. There's a gas station nearby and it's right off I-20. There seems to be someone in the office 24/7, so it's convenient if you're getting in late at night. Overall nothing bad to say about this place.

Here's the review I left on Google…read more I really hate to leave negative reviews but feel the need to leave one here. We rented the lodge on the campground with the pool in the front yard. The house was nice and so was the pool, even though it was in the front of the house and surrounded by and campground with no tree line or privacy fence. We booked the house through Airbnb and on the listing it stated that there were no exterior cameras on the property. When we got there, there were over a dozen. Pointed toward the pool, yard, doors, etc. We didn't think anything of it at first. There was also a man on the grounds when we got there who was in the shed and offered to open the house for us, we declined because we didn't know who he was. That was the first red flag because the host is a woman. There are quiet hours starting after 10 or 11. We were up late and around 2am took a swim. After being in for about 10-20 minutes, a man (different from the first man who was on the property) on a golf cart wearing no shoes pulled up and told us there was a noise complaint. Maybe there was, I'm not sure, I don't think we were being loud. Regardless, we understood we needed to keep it down. However, the man was VERY aggressive and was demanding we get out of the pool in front of him and he came through the gate even after being asked to back up. He was saying it was his house. He didn't provide any identification and he was not the listed host. We have no idea who this aggressive man was but it was extremely inappropriate and felt perverted. Who knows if he was the owner or not. On to the next day.... Around the pool house area we were getting everything set up to have a pool day. We found a door that had been left ajar that had a pad lock. The lights were on and it was air conditioned. Inside was a full surveillance system with an AT&T box. Not sure if it was WiFi or what, but it gave the impression that someone could view footage remotely. It was EXTREMELY disturbing. Had someone been there? Were they watching us? Is that why the man showed up at 2am? And why did the listing say there were no cameras? We were so upset especially after what happened the night before. We felt unsafe, especially as a house full of women. I would absolutely not recommend that anyway stay here. There is no privacy and if they are lying about cameras outside, what else is going on? Please be on guard. I hope something is done about this and they can right their wrongs.

She never mentioned that there was a train track and it blew its horn every hour. Although she knew we had a baby with us. None of us slept. The worst part of it all was her condescending manner. They ran out of drinking water and I asked for more they only had two small bottles left. The staff said she had to go out to get more. It was 10pm so told her that's ok. Then asked to have more in the morning. They still didn't have it in morning so I said that's ok and left. Lisa later that they left me a long message saying how she traveled the world and always knew what she needed. That it was my fault for not knowing. She then continued to say that her staff went above and beyond. I told her above and beyond is already having water and getting more of it before telling someone that they don't have it. I've never stayed in a place where they ran out of water. Also it was way dirtier and worn then the photos. Lisa has much room to improve as a host

Weird access but secure. 3 nice log cabins for rent. Owner, Danny is personable and friendly. Roads are gravel and in fair condition-- a few small potholes. RV spaces are very nice long concrete slabs with well placed utility clusters. 1 acre pond on site. Wide open, easy to maneuver because there are few trees. Also, several covered spaces are available. Laundry available. Very nice and new concrete picnic tables. I would go again for sure. One problem-- my 50 amp power seemed to have a problem. My surge protector detected an unspecific fault. After discussing with Danny I decided to try 30 amp. Power worked fine on 30 amp for two days. Manager offered me other spaces but because weather was mild I decided to just go with 30 amo. Manager couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Needs a little more polish (development) for 5 stars but some might give it 4. Like I said, I would go again. Better than many I have been to.
