DONT STAY HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY!!!…read more To the General Manager, Homewood Suites - Shreveport, Louisiana, (part 1) I am reaching out directly to notify you of a deeply troubling and unacceptable incident that occurred at your hotel on December 26, 2025, involving myself and my 84-year-old mother during our confirmed stay. Our reservation information is provided below and confirmed in the attached screenshot: Homewood Suites - Shreveport, Louisiana At approximately 9:15 AM, someone attempted to enter our room twice using a working key card. The only thing preventing entry was the interior safety latch. This was terrifying and absolutely unacceptable, particularly with an elderly guest present. What escalated this situation further was the response from your front desk. Instead of expressing urgency, concern, or apology, I was treated as if I was at fault. I was instructed to come to the lobby, wait in line behind another guest, and then re-present my identification to "prove" I belonged in my own room -- despite already checking in the previous day. I was later told the room had somehow been "checked back out" and reassigned to someone else. This is a severe security breach and a failure in proper guest record management. Later that same morning, while preparing breakfast for my mother, I was approached in a harsh and embarrassing tone by a staff member regarding limits on paper plates. She stated this directive came from management. The manner in which I was addressed was humiliating, disrespectful, and far below the standard of hospitality your brand claims to represent. This experience left me shaken, embarrassed, unsafe, and deeply disappointed. It ruined what should have been a peaceful and celebratory stay for my mother's 84th birthday. Given the seriousness of this incident, I am requesting the following: * A formal written apology * A full refund for the entire stay * Written confirmation that this incident will be thoroughly investigated * Assurance that immediate corrective action will be implemented to prevent this from happening to other guests I trusted this property with the safety and dignity of both myself and my elderly mother. That trust was violated. My contact information is below. I expect prompt acknowledgment and resolution. (part2) Dear Hilton/Homewood Suites Management, I want to sincerely thank you for responding so quickly, offering your apology, and extending kindness this morning. I also truly appreciate the hospitality shown to me in the kitchen today -- everyone was gracious, warm, and very attentive, and that meant a great deal to both me and my 84-year-old mother after such a stressful morning. I believe everyone has difficult moments, and I am grateful to have seen a clear effort in improved service and care At this point, I have not received any confirmation regarding compensation for what has already happened. However, another challenge has now come up -- my vehicle requires service before I feel safe driving home with my mother. Because of this unexpected hardship, I am kindly and respectfully requesting that, instead of compensating the stay we've already had, you please consider comping one or two additional nights so we can remain safely here while I get my car serviced. Your continued support would truly help us feel cared for, supported, and secure while we resolve everything..... ROOM WAS COMPED FOR 1 EXTRA NIGHT...HOWEVER ((part3) Dear Management Team, I am writing to report that, despite prior reassurance that our room access issue had been resolved, another incident occurred just before midnight. Someone again attempted to enter our room, startling my 84-year-old mother, my service dog, and myself. This happened even with the Do Not Disturb on the door.

I arrived here on a balmy Thursday evening here in Shreveport. I booked this hotel thru hotels.com,…read moresince I have a loyalty program there. It was a Hilton branded property. I stayed here at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel - Shreveport airport for one night in late October 2024. I like this brand because it is a Hilton that you can guarantee or be sure of a great night sleep. At least that was my experience here at this one. I arrived here around 9 PM on a Thursday evening thru uber. This hotel is fairly close to the airport so it is probably branded as an airport hotel. The check-in was pretty fast and friendly, so I got my hotel room key within 2 to 3 minutes. I ended up on the third floor of the hotel, which was nice and close enough to the hotel elevator. I got a king size bed and the room itself was fairly large. It was easy to maneuver in everything work properly. During my stay here, I ended up walking about 1 mile round trip to grab Burger King for dinner. It was interesting because it was really nothing around for the half mile stretch before coming into a shopping mall, per se. It was a nice walk, regardless. For the most part, though, the stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Shreveport regional airport was good and comfortable. I did enjoy the free breakfast the next morning before heading towards where the day takes me. If you're in the area, I need to be close to the airport, considering coming to this Hilton Garden Inn hotel. It is about 5 to 6 miles away. Not sure if they have shuttle service, but you may want to check on that before committing to booking. The over experience here at this Hilton branded property was very good and self-explanatory. The staff here was friendly and professional. They know how to treat guest with the most respect and professionalism that I have seen so far in my travels. When I walked into the lobby, I felt like this was where I belong after a full day of travel. It was my first time here, but probably not the last. I'm sure. Especially in Shreveport Louisiana, where things are quite different than that of Baton Rouge or New Orleans. I must say that their complimentary breakfast was pretty good and definitely Was eloquent, as far as meals are concerned. The price is here per night were fairly decent, as much as $149 per night. I booked this hotel months in advance. They should have an airport shuttle service, but I don't think they do not, especially after a certain time where most people fly in and need that complementary service. During my stay here, I slept a good amount of hours here. The bed was very comfortable and fell asleep quicker than normally. Maybe it was just because I was tired from the travel, but who knows really. And so, if you want that extra bit of sleep on a comfortable stay, consider coming to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. Very close to airport and may be worth your money to come stay here if you need to be near the airport. This Hilton Garden Inn hotel is located in Shreveport Louisiana. It is about 6 miles or so from the Shreveport regional airport. It's physically located at 5971 Financial Plaza. Like many in the industry, many of the hotel bookings are done online, usually through a third-party booking site or through directly with the hotel themselves. All of these bookings require a major credit card anyway. As far as parking goes, the Hilton Garden Inn has a generous allotment of parking slots for guests. The Motel 6 is next door. If you're like me, the Shreveport public public bus system runs thru the city and one of the routes stops around the corner from the Hilton Garden Inn. At least for now, riding the bus is free in 2024, but that may change. For reference, bus route 25 and goes to and from the SHV airport. Of course, there's Uber and Lyft as well at your disposal. I used them from the airport to the hotel, but took the public bus the next morning to be a tourist and explore. Make sure you know where the ice machine is, whether it's on the ground floor or on your floor. It's convenient to know such info. Although I didn't get to use their pool during this visit, I wished that I did. Too bad seasons change, otherwise I would have totally jumped in there for a session or two to rest and enjoy the benefits that come with travel do yourself a favor and come here if your travels come to Shreveport, Louisiana. You'll be glad you did. 4.0 stars is for the over experience. 4.5 stars for the service and ambience. 4.0 stars for the room comfort and the continental breakfast 4.5 stars for the bed comfort. 3.5 stars for the prices. Support local! B

Unfortunately, we were met with a pretty disappointing experience. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was that it was pet-friendly, but as soon as our dog entered our room, he made a beeline for under the bed. We looked, and found a disgusting scene of hair, trash, and a mysterious container. My husband opened it, and it was a strange beige putty (?) substance. The floors throughout the room were so filthy that our socks and feet turned black from walking on them. And that hot shower we were so excited to take? All of the plumbing, from the sink to the toilet and shower, had rusty brown water coming out. If you are looking for a a clean stay on the road, look elsewhere! There are many surrounding hotels in this area, and unfortunately we chose wrong.

I unfortunately got stuck in traffic behind 2 serious accidents on I-10, so didn't get there until 8:00 p.m. I was told since I had not checked in by 6:00 PM they gave my room to someone else and they were booked up. I was told they tried to charge my credit card at 6:00 pm since I wasn't there and it was declined. I do not believe it as I used that card at the Hilton where finally I found a room. The woman working there said she had tried to call me and I didn't answer, however there is no evidence that she did on my phone and I was driving anyway.

I let corporate booking lead the way and ended up choosing this Courtyard so that I could 1) give my Marriott Bonvoy a chance to reach the next status tier and 2) I remember staying at a Courtyard as a kid and really enjoying it. Well, the lobby/exterior tricked me into thinking this was a swanky hotel! My room was dated---the carpet was grungy, the wall color and bathroom looked old, and there was a light feeling of humidity in the room. Breakfast is also not free and the fitness room is tiny (three treadmills take up most of the space). There is a pool, but the spa was out of order when I was there. I will say despite the datedness of the room, everything was clean, which I appreciate. The check-in staff were also nice too.

It has long been our preferred hotel, which makes this review especially disappointing. During our most recent stay (June 18-21, 2026), our family booked approximately 10 rooms while gathering for a funeral. Unfortunately, we experienced a significant decline in both cleanliness and service. Our first room had a hole in the window. After being moved, we found food left in the refrigerator, used soap in the bathtub, missing room amenities, only two lamps with no overhead light (which made it difficult for two females to get dressed), and a room that did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. Even more concerning, our room was never serviced during our three-night stay. When we requested fresh towels and trash bags, we were told the hotel only had one housekeeper. While staffing shortages happen, paying guests should still receive basic services, especially at approximately $120 per night. Several family members experienced similar issues, including difficulty obtaining additional towels. The breakfast, once one of the highlights of staying here, has also declined considerably. It pains us to leave a negative review because we have enjoyed staying here for many years. However, the decline in cleanliness, customer service, housekeeping, and breakfast quality cannot be overlooked. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and restores the standards that once made this hotel a favorite of ours.

I asked my husband to get a few extra towels cause there were only two I wanted one on the floor next to the bed you could tell the floor wasn't very clean, and one on the floor outside the shower. I got our son in the shower the water wouldn't drain, water pressure was very low. Opened the towel to put around him there is hair (fresh towel) all over it, I open the second towel same thing thank the lord we found another towel in the caddy next to the sink and it was clean without hair. All three of us had to use the same dang towel cause they were all full of hair and gross. We crawl into bed at 11pm and smell men's cologne on the sheets. The sheets were not changed! They smelled like a man's cologne. We just went ahead and slept cause it was late as disturbing and cringy as it felt we tried to sleep the best we could. Got up in the morning to make us breakfast cause there is no complimentary breakfast like it said there would be on the booking site along with the pool being closed which we had planned to swim while we were here. There are roaches everywhere!!!!!!! I'm freaking out!!!!! I hope these don't crawl in my bag and come home with us. Lord help us! The hotel maid came by knocking on the door asking for towels so I opened the door and asked if we could have a manager she is eating food while talking to me, the manager comes across the hall and I explain all the things to which he turns and says well I cleaned the sheets myself I know they are clean...... I stared at him for a minute cause we ALL KNOW he did not touch these sheets! That's what the room service cleaning ladies are for!!!! I said sir the sheets were full of male cologne that definitely wasn't my husbands cologne. And he stood there smiling at me, I informed him about the towels having hair all over them he said oh well I can get you new towels (I said those were new towels) he asked if the cleaning lady could strip the bed I said yes please when she took the sheets off there were crumbs and hair all over the bed protector under the sheets!!!!!!! I told them about the roaches and they said it had to be the new refrigerator..... this refrigerator looks like it hasn't been moved in years! There is dirt and grim around the legs like they had attempted to mop..... if I could give this review absolutely ZERO stars I would!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel! I am not usually the one to make posts like this and bash a place of business but they didn't even offer a different room he didn't apologize about our experience so far the only thing he did was lie about doing the sheets himself and tell me he could give me new sheets.... I am so disappointed and very unhappy with our stay!!!!! I will NEVER stay here again nor would I recommend this for ANYONE!!!! Still currently waiting for our bed to be remade since 10:30am it's now 12:32pm.... Some pictures of hair and crumbs I didn't get all the pictures of the hair on the towels it was late last night and was not thinking about blasting this place like this cause again this is not something I usually do.
