(1 Star) I am…read moreextremely disappointed with Vetra's customer service and the handling of my warranty battery replacement for my Vetra Blazer e-bike. The battery stopped working while it was still covered under the one-year warranty. I followed all of the required steps provided by Vetra, including submitting the original receipt and all requested information, and returning the defective battery using the specialized shipping box and process required for shipment. I stayed in close communication with customer service throughout the process and did everything requested of me. After completing all required steps, I was told "Once the package has been dropped off, please send us a photo of the drop‑off receipt. As soon as we have proof that the battery is on its way, we'll be able to send out your replacement." The response to sending proof of shipment I received from customer service was: "We informed Vetra and are just waiting for the next steps once they receive it." That response was nearly three weeks ago, and I have received no further updates, no timeline, and no information about when my replacement battery will be shipped. As well as no response to any of the follow up emails I have sent them. The expectation was that a new battery would be sent under the warranty, but instead I have been left waiting with very little communication or support. A warranty is only meaningful when a company follows through and keeps customers informed. Unfortunately, my experience with Vetra has been extremely frustrating. The lack of communication, unclear process, and lengthy delay have been unacceptable. I hope Vetra improves its customer service and warranty support because customers deserve timely updates and a company that stands behind its products.

Ten months later the problems began…read more For no apparent reason the scooter stopped shifting into higher gears (2 & 3)--she was stuck in the lowest gear (1) unable to go more than 5 mph. We contacted REV Rides and spent countless hours and hundreds of dollars on replacement parts and costly repairs to no avail. While it was nice to be able to talk to the warranty manager (Adrian) at REV Rides to help us diagnose the problem, nothing that was recommended, including the replacement parts, fixed the problem. The scooter is now sitting in my garage collecting dust. Beyond frustrating and a complete waste of time and money.

That's when I stumbled across this custom frame builder in Portland who was making exactly what I was looking for: a bike rack with wood slats. And let me tell you, these guys make some of the coolest bike racks I have ever seen! I called them up, and they were super helpful. We talked about what I wanted the rack for, what features I wanted in it, how big it would be, what kind of bike I had, and I was good to go. Unfortunately, these guys are so popular (and so custom) that there was a bit of a waiting list before my bike rack could be started (I think I waited 3 months). Plus it ended up being more money than I ever wanted to spend on a rack for my bike. Who spends $350 on a bike rack? I guess the answer is me. Oh, and they got my order wrong and built me a front rack instead of a back rack. So why, then, would I give a company 5 stars who made me wait 3 months, charged me way more money than I could afford, and screwed up and built me the wrong rack? Well, I called them as soon as I got the rack and informed them of the problem, and they were on it. I shipped it back, they cut it apart, rebuilt it ASAP and sent it straight back with a check covering my shipping costs. And now that it's all said and done and I have my rack on my bike, I LOVE it! It really is the coolest bike thing I've ever owned. Bike shop people are always coming up to me asking me where I got my rack. In the end, the thing is so cool that everything it took to get it has completely been forgotten. I love this rack! It totally looks like it came with the bike, yet it completely changed the look of my bike for the better. If you are looking for a bike rack for your bike that is the coolest bike rack you will ever own, I say go for it. Ahearne Cycles really does make the best bike racks ever! PS: These guys are also the people who invented the flask holder for your bike, which I must say is pretty fricken cool. Who removes the watter bottle holder and puts a flask in it's place? Heck, if you live somewhere in the Portland/Vancouver metro area, you are probably close to a shop that can do this for you. What is the difference? None of these places are Sugar. Finding them is not the easiest, they are located off of Williams, true, but you must go inside one building and make a left to find them. But once you do, you are greeted by a sign that says to you simply "We build wheels, that's all we do". The very fact that Sugar thrives by only performing one essential bike construction activity should tell you all you need to know. Their shop is clean and functional and you are immediately greeted by one of their expert wheel builders the moment you walk in the door. Rims are all about and spokes, nipples and hubs are there for you to inspect as you decide what you will be rolling on. I had a set of stock wheels rebuilt by my LBS and within weeks broke several nipples. When I brought them in for repair, my mechanic asked what I had been doing to them (I am a road rider, and am pretty conservative on how much dirt my bike sees), going so far as to question my weight. Sugars Jason looked at my wheel construction and was quickly able to tell me that the rebuild failed for specific reasons and explained them to me in a courteous and knowledgeable manner. For a very fair price, they rebuilt both my wheels and offered me loaner wheels while I waited for my business to conclude. Truly, this is your stop for all wheel building needs.

All they need to do is scan the code below" I drove to the FedEx office and they simply labeled the box and sent it back to the BikeTiresDirect, and a few days later I received the below message: "The return shipping label price is $9.95. This has been deducted from your store credit. Unfortunately, because the shipping label was affixed directly to the product packaging we have assessed a restocking fee of $34.50 and issued you store credit" It means they charged me $44.45 because: 1- Their size chart is not sufficient and does not address the width of the head of the cyclist, 2- They do not have any instructions for the customers on the returning items, and it's a good excuse to take some profit out of it.! P.S.: I received the deducted refund on July 17, 2026, and one month later as of Aug. 18, 2026 they paid me $26.50 as extra refund. It means I have been totally charged $17.95 - So I owe a great appreciation to Yelp.
