When I had a painting that I no longer wanted, I entrusted her to sell it for me, no contracts signed, and only a spoken agreement. After some time, I inquired about the painting and was told it hadn't sold so I requested it back. I was then told she had no access to the painting so I requested the agreed payment. I was then met with the insistence that she had no money to pay me. I will spare you the details, but after much heated discussion, she eventually paid me, who knows what she did with the painting. I recently contacted the gallery owner about a painting from an artist that presumably she has, as the artist has not received her share of the sale. A month later and after 2 emails, I have not heard a word from her. I ask myself, Why? Sold the painting but doesn't want me to know so she doesn't have to pay the artist what she is owed? Doesn't want my business? By the way, the artist in question, whose multiple paintings I have bought from Kathleen, has pulled out of the gallery after 20+ years.
