It is only quite a small building but it oozes charm. It sells magazines and papers, alternatively you could have them delivered to your door. They sell sweets from jars and lots of delightful locally produced items such as cakes, jams, chutneys. They also have some really tasty meats which they carve off the bone for you, whether you want a lot or just one slice for a sandwich, nothing is too much trouble. The post office part itself is just one counter but you can do most things that you need to do urgently, pay your bills and post your letters. Really welcoming.

Normally there's a bit of a queue and ususlly it's a little old lady gossiping with the person serving that caises the hold up! this is definitely a case of the post office being part of the local community and I'm glad it's one of the ones staying open.

It stocks most of the usual things that you would expect to find in a shop of this nature. In addition they stock greetings cards and a few small toys. They also have a selection of Taylors pies and sandwiches which may be handy for grabbing an easy lunch. There is parking outside and just round the corner so this should never be a problem.
