There are a couple of galleries, which always have interesting stuff in, although the prices make me run away usually! At Christmas, they have the prettiest, largest Christmas tree in Nottingham, towering up at the cross point of the arcade. It really is worth a visit in December, and I make a point of using the arcade as a cut through - it also gets you out of the wind and rain for a few minutes!

Car Parking is sometimes an issue however that is usually as people want to stay on the first parking level....there are 3 levels, as well as an outside upper level! However it's nothing to be overly concerned about. There is always the Victoria Bus Station as well if you prefer not to drive. There is still the indoor market on the second floor which is always fun to have a look around!

This shop is very small, cramped and does not have as much stock as the Derby forbidden planet. It is still a great store for all your comic, game, sci-fi and action figure needs. They seem to have a good selection and the prices are the same as the other forbidden planet (slightly expensive). This forbidden planet also seems quite dark as well and does not have as many staff as the Derby store. A great thing about this forbidden planet is that they do have some great events on, which i am told are very popular. They include signings, meetups and contests. The Derby forbidden planet does not get these kind of things which is a shame.

The clothes are really cheap and there's a huge range but I always feel really dirty (figuratively…read morespeaking) on the few occasions I enter this store and quickly leave empty-handed. Why? Its horrible reputation of using sweat shops to mass produce its cheap 'n' not-so-cheerful clothing. Sure, I have no idea that stores selling more expensive clothing are trading ethically - but I DO know that this brand thrives on exploitation so I try to avoid it. The store is always so overcrowded anyway on weekends. Personally I don't see the attraction of a throw-away society where nothing is sustainable and things fall apart after a few wears. Sure it's cheap - but does that justify the products - and how they're made?

Everything is easy to find, as it's a good idea to buy something you like as soon as you see it, as stuff sells out quickly. It often gets really busy, so would avoid on a Saturday, and only has one ladies changing room.
