Hmm. I used to be a complete Primark addict, back in the day when no one had ever heard of it but it kind of leaves a bad taste in the mouth now. The shop in Nottingham is absolutely huge after a recent extension and there are indeed some bargains to be had. They have decent pieces of throw away fashion items for next to nothing but in their cheapness, they encourage us to buy more. Is there really any need? I'd rather pay a little more on quality that will last and not support child labour. Plus on a less moral level, everyone one and her sister are wearing the same clothes from the same shop, there are great independent shops in the Hockley area but we've all lost imagination to shop for ourselves anymore. read more

I personally dont get Primark. This very large store is situated where Littlewoods used to be. Over 3 floors, of sorry but lots of clothes on the floor ! Great for a bargain, wear once then throw away outfit or if you like to add to your wardrobe often,my teenage neice loves this store. But as an older shopper its good for one of bargains, which there are quite a fair few to be found ! The staff arent very friendly i found though, which is quite a shame. If they were it might of made me attempt to shop there alittle more often. The sales after Christmas were good though. I did buy a few bits that were fantastic bargains. Just wish that people and staff members would pick stuff up off the floors. read more

I think Primark has cemented it's place in the market and the Nottingham shop has a lot to offer. As other reviewers have mentioned this store is massive! It has 2 floors and there is a lot of retail space. I occasionally go in there and get a few shirts and ties for work as their prices are simply unbeatable. There is a lot more ladies clothing available than men's clothing, but that said the men's range is sufficient. The shop gets very busy at weekends, especially since the down turn in the economy, I suspect that this group will benefit from this over the next 2 years. Positioned on Long Row in Nottingham's city centre, Primark is the low cost clothing supplier taking the high street by storm. The store is always busy and the queues are long, but the staff appear to be friendly enough. Prices are extremely cheap with tops to be had from as little as £1.50. As with everything, you do get what you pay for and Primark's clothes tend to fray and come apart at the stitches fairly easily (as I have experienced) If you want high quality, long lasting, clothes, this isn't the place for you. Other customers also seem to have a rush of blood to the head whenever in the store, as rudeness tends to abound if a bargain is spotted. read more

Primark is the answer to the credit crunch! It never compromises on quality and always has plenty of choice for all ages and sexes. This Nottingham store is multi foor and is one of the larger outlets. It can have problems at times with the length of their queues and get a bit crowded but a small issue considering the savings on your new wardrobe ! It is centrally located and easily reached by either bus or tram and in between the Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh shopping centre. My recommendation is to start at Primark and if they haven't got what you want then consider a more expensive outlet. read more

Great place for cheap accesories, I have bought hats, scarfs, tights here and they are all fine. Their umbrellas last really well. Clothes are made for skinny minnies and knitwear bobbles really quickly. Great for homewear too, Their throws are really nice and a good price too. I have noticed that their Christmas cards are nicely designed and of course cheap. Other customers can be quite rude. Always long queues for changing rooms and tills, but you feel great when you get a bargain. Their socks are good and last well. read more

primark is a low cost clothing shop.they do pretty much everthing clothing wise at a budget. it is very cheap and affordable for everyone. the store is always very busy. prices can start from as little as a £1 for a top, the more you pay the better the quality,somethings are not as good as others but i have brought plenty of womens £2 t-shirts and they are fantastic i have every colour, well worth a visit you can get an whole wardrobe for under £50 read more

Unbelievably cheap clothes and homewear. A lot of really poor quality stuff but it's possible to find some real gems is you perservere. The staff are generally friendly and helpful and changing or getting refunds on unwanted items is really easy. This shop is set to become even more popular as rising prices of most commodities drive the consumer to pull the purse strings tighter & tighter. read more

Great if you want an outfit for that one off even but dont expect the clothes to be looking fab after 4 washes. Good if your on a budget but expect long quese for the changing rooms and check out. Its a fight on a weekend and clothes are usually everywhere as they like to fold and pile stuff rather than hang it up. read more

this is a very cheap cut price clothes store which offers value for money, but not always good quality. the sizes are always very skimpy, sometimes 2 or 3 sizes smaller than other stores size. read more
