The B&N Cafe stopped serving regular coffee two hours prior to closing, per employees's and their closing checklist. Who does that!!!! Sound to me like they only want to serve the expensive drinks. They attempted to make an instant single serve, but it was way too bitter. I'm not blaming the staff. Get it together B&N! read more

Watch your children here! An employee named Brandon grabbed the phone out of my daughter's hand and proceeded to embarrass her since the screen is broken. We spoke to the manager and it was still a poor excuse. My daughter was in tears and we felt very uncomfortable. This employee was very inappropriate. This is not directed toward them but it literally is the online and this is the closest one. Seriously don't buy gift cards they don't work right online, as I have gotten one because it was my birthday like seriously. I can't go because it too far to use. I tried to buy something online for like 10 dollars ends up being 20 bucks like really. Plus the fact the card that I got had 50 it said but only 25 online. Again I am starting to think the person who gave me it either doesn't like me all that much. Like I am fine with Barnes & Nobles but like I can't use the card online because it has cancelled my order twice!! Like what am I supposed to do with half broken card that doesn't even work. I tried seeing if there were like gift cards I could buy instead and try another store but no. Like when did this person think or go to for Barnes & Nobles like could have just have a visa I don't care would have been more useful. I am partially blaming someone else but come on I am trying to use it but you just deny it like come on. I am trying here like not trying to make a big scene and I don't want people who at least thought to get me something but was it like Barnes & Nobles was the last thing I would put I love to read but I can't even order anything to read for and I am not going to Tyler any soon. A beautiful experience and so easy! I checked for my book title online and saw that it was available at the store on Broadway. So, I called in my purchase at the Broadway store -- used my credit card. Told the helpful clerk, Renee, that I would be there in 10 minutes -- described my vehicle -- she watched for me -- I drove into the parking lot -- and voila, she placed the book on the table outside. In answer too Jessica C's review, this is not a Starbucks Shop!they just use Starbucks coffee. Not defending Starbucks, but Barnes and Noble. My son was a Barista while in college, and the District Manager mistreated him, and I will not go there. I love Barnes and Noble books and coffee house. read more

They need to get more outlets in here. It would make it so much better, I believe the business would be better to. Lots of people ask for outlets and there is none. So when my laptop is low battery I hop to another Starbucks. Other then that I love here I have been coming here for two years. read more

We like Barnes and Noble and this one is up to par with the rest. The coffee shop is nice, the selection and atmosphere is nice. But be aware you are in Tyler and you will hear conversations about what Jesus really meant and who are real Christians and who are not. If you can handle that you will be ok. I can handle it but it was a little creepy to me that some people can be so religious and inappropriately loud that it shows up at the local book store. read more

I love B&N, but not this one. The selection is pretty bad in my opinion. You're better off browsing/finding what you need online.

My kids always need a book at the last minute, or I need a quick gift and don't have much time to shop. I get on the B&N website, request the books I need and within 30 minutes I have them. Service at this location is great and they have great inventory. read more
