During my most recent visit, I saw a good selection of merchandise on fully stocked and organized shelves. I felt happy to see many customers. Prices were moderate. This Barnes & Noble has a great selection and is always very organized and clean. The cafe is comfortable and provides a pretty nice second space away from browsing. I always come across something unexpectedly intriguing here and really enjoy the atmosphere. It's a great place to explore interests and I'm never disappointed when spending time at this location. read more

I am so glad that this is still here. Sure the board games and stuff can be expensive, but you can find great deals on clearance and they still have the cutest area in the kids section where my six-year-old likes to go and perform while he reads to us. It's a great way to encourage his reading. read more

Barnes & Nobles is a great place. You can get pretty much any book you'd like and want to read or get a book that you have read before and then read it again! The toys they have there are pretty interesting to look at and yeah that's really it. read more

Another chain and most of their locations this one included are nice. I love books and magazines and I love getting lost in the literary world. They have such an immense selection that it makes it easy to pass time without realizing hours have gone by. And though a chain the employees are so knowledgeable, helpful and eager to assist. I remember coming down here to browse 20 years ago and it still looks the same. They now have a Starbucks and less couches to sit on but you can sit in the coffee cafe. I feel bad this is such a great store but there closing nationwide people don't read hardback books as much. I still like to look at the books in there travel section. read more

I feel like reviewing THIS Barnes and Noble is like reviewing any Barnes and Noble. I'm a book lover. Honestly, my books are like my children. So, going into Barnes and Noble is a great experience for me. The smell of the books. The lining of the shelves. The endless possibilities of expanding knowledge . . . But I don't buy books from Barnes and Noble (it's just too expensive). So, why do I go? 1. If I need a comfortable place to sit when on a wait at Burgatory. 2. If I am in dire need of coffee. 3. If I need to use the restroom. 4. If I want to sit and read a book while sitting at a cafe without buying the book/to sample a book (judge me if you want, Barnes and Noble is basically a nicer library). 5. This is BIG and should probably be #1 . . . This Barnes and Noble sells Cheesecake Factory cheesecake in its cafe. I will come just to this Barnes and Noble to eat cheesecake. If you really are reading this review for some helpful information - their book selection is pretty good. Highly priced, but you can walk out of the store with your book as opposed to waiting for Amazon. So, if you need a book gift in a pinch, you will pay for that convenience. Also, if you're a purest who doesn't want to feed Amazon for the sake of the authors (how much better is Barnes and Noble for them, anyway??), you can pay the Barnes and Noble premium. It's one of my favorite place to stop for a tea and read a book. There are a lot of table, good customer service and a great place to walk around to relax. Every time I end up buying something so we decided to become members for discounts (even for the Starbucks you have 10% of discount). Their Starbucks is the best in the city with more options like pastries from Cheesecake Factory, Quiches and etc... I recommend their Spinach and Tomato quiche and Brownie. I know some books are cheaper in Amazon but sometimes I like to support the local store so I can keep going to one of my favorite places to read and relax. Besides I like to browse this store and see what it's new and see if worth or not to buy that book, this already makes me save money. read more

I swear these exist for those who need to suffer through an excruciating wait for a seat at Burgatory, Hell's preferred burger bar. Like the one in Homestead, we've come here in anticipation of that magic (Satanic?) text message. Leafing through issues of Prog Rock and other lesser-known magazines B&N carries in its comprehensive periodicals section will alone stave off hunger pangs. The amount of books, graphic novels, DVD's, calendars, stationery that is sold here staggers the mind. However, like the other stores, their CD selection is dwindling. Sign of the times? Yes, we all love the independent book stores, but think of this B&N as the biggest, most interesting "green room" in existence. read more

This Barnes and Noble is huge, and it is in such a great location: right in the Waterworks Mall! Anytime I am trying to make it through the long wait of Burgatory, I find myself going to B&N to spend my time. They have games, books, music, and all sorts of fun stuff to keep you occupied. They also have an awesome cookbook section in the back of the store. It is a food lovers paradise. read more

Visit this Barnes and Noble several times a week. The employees are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They are always ready with a good recommendation or to find the book you are looking for. The store is clean and well lit. The cafe is a great place to relax and read. Along side the cafe are comfortable chairs to sit in. The drinks and food are very tasty. I especially like the pizza pretzel. There is something comforting about a book store. It's like coming home. You can't get that from Amazon. For those who say that the bookstores are to expensive, what price do you put on a book? It's like asking what price you would put on a friend? For those who only come to use the restroom or wait to eat in one of the local restaurants, your missing the big picture. It's like going on vacation and never leaving your hotel room. I wish more people shopped at book stores as they are all slowly going out of business. This one was nice as all of the Barnes and Nobles I have been at are. The coffee was good if you get one. Wonderful place to browse and spend time with family. Book selection very good. However it takes only one bad apple to make one think about not going back. Tonight we checked out at the counter and my son handed the cashier a gift card while I prepared to pay with my credit card. The cashier, a young girl , Melanie V. , huffed and said, excuse me, your son cannot hold the gift card, YOU must be the one to swipe the card. since you have the discount card under your name. It is the rule, the camera is behind me and I must insist that YOU hold both cards. I cannot process this payment unless you are the one holding both cards. Needless to say, I was shocked to hear this, thinking, is this girl REAL? Not only was she speaking in a rude fashion, she was also speaking nonsense. I obliged and politely took my purchases and left. Can someone please hire someone else? read more
