Different name,same service. Nothing to write home about. I've used this place because it's conveniently close to my house. Long story short,The first incident I had was I got there 10 minutes late because I had the appointment time wrong. The woman at the front desk refused to take me because of the mistake. I understood and left. The last issue I had was I had an emergency and was forced to cancel my appointment 2 hours ahead of schedule. The woman in charge was not to happy about and told me that I would have to pay 50 dollars for missing my appointment. When I question their intentions,she told me that I was being banned from this place. For the kind of service they provide,I cannot say I was sad about it. I hope they don't try to steal my 50 dollars,I'll give yelp an update in the future. Buyer beware,read the fine print when you risk going to this place to use their service. read more

If I could give this place a negative I would . The idiot Russian tech was screaming my business so loud that even the waiting area knew what i was there for. After telling her my tooth was in pain her dumbass went straight into digging and spraying without any meds or anything . then when I asked her what was the plan after removing a tooth , she started talking down about me as if I wasn't standing right there to her boss . The Spanish doctor was horrible as well , neither of them know how to speak to patients. I whole heartedly hope everyone loses their licenses here . Do not walk... run from this practice. Dr. Soccarras kicked me out of the office after starting root canal. He has no bed side manner and if you are a nervous patient this is not the place to be. He told me he is getting his education through Google, which he said was funny and I knew he was kidding but I did not find that comforting. I was told if I feel anything to say anything. Once, he started I felt discomfort and wanted to know if that was normal. He left and filled the hole he created and was told I need valium. Turns out the papaerwork they handed me said I need to go somewhere that would knock me out. Instead of being caring he made me more uncomfortable. Run away... Dr. Socarras is an arrogant man that thinks he has a sense of humor, but all he is, is rude. This is one of the worst practices I have ever gone to and unless you have minimally invasive work being done, find another solution. The first dentist I went to there was very good and when I went for a followup, he had left the practice. He obvoiusly knew something that I didn't and when I went back to a practice that originally had a host of dentists in it, they were down to one and I was stuck. Never again. Been in the office when they've violated HIPAA (on speaker phone with a patient while she is staying her social, bday etc) unprofessional! And I recommended someone go there and they were with me and heard the entire thing! So unprofessional. Weeks later they call me after I've already made my appointment to reschedule (for several weeks later) because they didn't pay attention when they scheduled that is was a holiday weekend. Dentist can clean my teeth because it's a holiday weekend. Then after my daughter has been scheduled for some fillings, they call and state, hi the doctor has an emergency on the day of your 3 week away appointment. Really????? The appointment is almost 1 month away and the doctor already knows he has an emergency that day???? PLEASE point me in the direction of new dentist. One of the worst offices I've been to EVER. I wish I checked this before going. First off, I get called to the back. The dental hygienist begins by shoving the exam tool down into the bottom of my mouth(which causes bleeding, even now). Then she proceeds to clean my teeth without telling me what's she's doing. I asked her to explain to me before just jumping in. Big mistake! She then proceeds to be very disrespectful, took photos in an aggressive manner, showed me the stains on my tooth, and says with an even deeper disrespectful tone... Look at your teeth ( pointed at the enlarged pictures she took) you don't want them cleaned. I tell her I just wanted a heads up. She then makes more disrespectful remarks. At that point I tell her that it's within my rights to know what someone is doing, that she should be nicer and that she's a public servant. I have no problem with complying, but when someone just opens your mouth and starts drilling and doesn't say anything... well.. ok. She tells the doctor as I refuse to let her touch me. I politely said no. They basically told me to leave and then send a letter to my house stating my behavior was inappropriate (My behavior) and that I cannot come to their or any affiliates site. I did plan on EVER coming back so they don't have to worry about that. Do not send any more information to my house and I should sue the pants off of your establishment. I recorded everything. Don't threaten me, leave me alone, take your scam business and enjoy every second you're open. The place is bad. And I come from the south. One street light south and this took the cake. Came here for the first time for a cleaning. Booking the appointment was a little weird at first. I called asked to book, mentioned I was a new patient. The lady over the phone was very polite when she asked if I could call back in a few hours because they were very busy. Took me for a loop but again she was very nice. Called back the next and I booked with no issue. The waiting area/lobby is clean with magazines and TVs. Everything seems high tech and new. I was able to watch a movie on Netflix while I got my teeth cleaned. One thing that I'm not used to compared to my old dentist is NY; the Dr. Is the one who cleaned or did anything that needed to be done in my mouth. Here you have the dental hygienist who cleans and then the Dr. comes and goes over the x-rays. Nothing major, just different for me. I'll be back. read more

Thus was my first visit since moving to Connecticut and it was a good experience thus far

If I could rate this place one star I most certainly would. I had been a patient at Barnum dental for a little over five years until today. I received a call prior to my appointment like I always do typically it's just an appointment reminder but this time the lady that I spoke with let me know that my previous insurance had expired, I had given her my new insurance information- everything was on the up and up. I was advised that the procedure I was coming in for it was going to cost more with my new insurance than it did with my prior insurance and I had agreed to pay that cost out of pocket . Upon my arrival at the appointment the young lady at the desk advised that my insurance had expired and I let her know that I had spoken with someone on the phone, gave them my new information and I was advised there was going to be an out-of-pocket cost for my visit today . She then proceeds to say under her breath well I'll put you in for just regular cleaning. Now, my appointment was for a deep cleaning and so I asked her why would you just put me in for a regular cleaning if my appointment is for a deep cleaning and I'm willing to pay the out-of-pocket cost? so she rolls her eyes and she huffs and puffs and says well I'm gonna go talk to to the hygienist or the manager whomever ... And I Simply asked her if she could clarify whether I was eligible for a free regular cleaning under my new insurance or if we were going to proceed with the deep cleaning as scheduled- basically, what am I eligible for today? because if I could get a regular cleaning I might want to explore that option instead. She then proceeds with the same low level of customer service, caring or compassion and she goes to get this manager. well that didn't help ... This large man comes out from the back very loud and aggressive and says, "what's the problem?" And I tell him well there isn't a problem I'm just looking for clarification to understand what I'm eligible for here today at my appointment. I then look at her since she's the one that went to go get him to kind of explain or ask whatever it was that she needed to ask him... he very loudly says, " well I'm not talking to her I am talking to you!" so I'm a little taken aback by his tone and his presence and I said well it was very clear what my question was and I am very competent so I understand the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning what I'm asking her for what I think is her job responsibilities and I could be wrong for this but I am asking her what I am eligible for today and she goes to get you . he then proceeds to tell me, a black professional woman that I am being aggressive and I'm a little bit confused because does aggressive mean black or does aggressive mean why am I asking questions? and so then I'd start to have a lot more character in my tone in the way I'm saying things because now I'm asking why they're being so rude to me? why initially this young lady was so rude to me then this man comes out and he's so rude to me and do you know what he says!? he tells me that I "need medication, need to seek a mental health doctor and that they're not going to see me!" Seriously. Now, this appointment has been scheduled months in advance and I was called last week asking if I could push my appointment out, so I was very flexible with them. so now you mean to tell me that I've come out of my way, I've been willing to pay out of pocket just to come in to your offices and be rude and nasty and aggressive and miss my appointment - like that was my intent in coming to your office today? is that truly what you believe? because I do believe that your intent was to come out and be rude and nasty to me based on what she explained to you and she had no self Awareness to how rude she was being! without any accountability of her own actions and her own tone, her own low level of customer service and quite frankly her low understanding of her job if she could not tell me what I was eligible for in my visit! she had to get someone else, why are you at the front desk do you just answer the phone and be rude? In the past I notice small racial undertones or a little ambiguity based on the kind of insurance somebody will provide when they are checking in and and I would overhear these things and I would see how they would mumble towards each other and I was never treated that way because I had insurance through my job, I present as very professional, a little bit racially ambiguous so they don't always know that they're saying the wrong things around the wrong people and so today with this man's position and he was so nasty and so rude and so loud and so aggressive and so overpowering that his response to a low level of service. Could it not be that the rep was rude, incompetent. It was me, the black woman automatically the problem? Rude, racist, disgusting people. I wouldn't go back if my teeth were in my pocket. I am always shocked and surprised when i walk in and Kim is still employed. She is unprofessional, rude and doesn't even know anything that happens in the office. She gives wrong answers as to what insurance covers. And if you have an issue don't ever expect a call back from her. The office needs to be reported to the state for insurance fraud honestly. It's taken MORE THAN A YEAR to get my partials made. A year where I've visited every month twice a month. . I've gotten different responses from the lab is slow to it's because of Covid. This is absolutely the most racist and unethical dentist office I have ever been to. The office manager Kimberly is absolutely atrocious. They are money hungry and don't know how to speak to people and don't do things based off the needs of the patient just off their sales quotas. Dr Edwards started my root canal and then stated she didn't have a tool she needed to continue and I had to have this procedure done twice. Agnes is a terrible human being. has no people skills, will not greet you. she cleaned my teeth for a long time there was no plaque she was basically scrapping enamel off my teeth, I blame myself after seeing how she has a sinister vibe and the disdain look in her eyes when she looked at me, I asked her how her day is going fine? guess what she answered? mhmm like I'm your customer and I'm the one to greet you and you can't even have common courtesy to communicate. I ended looking for another dentist the first time I went there when this lady did a few X-ray and she noticed she didn't take them properly Agnes did not have her retake it just assumed which teeth look like it had cavities to tell the doctor, the new place I found ended closing down so I tried them again I knew in my heart I shouldNy have let Agnes touch my teeth it's been about a month now and my teeth still in pain and has a bitter taste ever since she was scraping my gums off. I had a loosed crown and they glue back like 5 times, and they said that the problem is that I need a new crown They also mention a caries in number 1 and needs to come out, and they also need to take out the lower one as well I went to a dentis in Trumbull Stratford lane next to BigY . After an evaluation they said there's no caries in number 1 and my crown was clean , removed old glue and put permanent glue and never had a problem again My bill was $45 . Alright, I will never come back here again. I went for a cleaning and the lady who did my cleaning tried to be nice, but the comments she would make were just straight up rude. She talked to me like i was a child who did not know how to brush or floss and it was very annoying. Also, she was very very rough and made me bleed multiple times. When I gave her a gesture while she was cleaning she said "I know I'm going rough but I have to." Also after my cleaning she took a deep breath and said "you really needed that cleaning." Rude. I came back a week later to get 2 fillings and the dentist was really nice, one thing I found very unprofessional was she gave me the shots for the numbing and said "I'll be right back." She came back an HOUR later, and I already felt the numbing wearing off but continued on... first side, once she started drilling I told her o felt it and she rolled her eyes and said do I need more numbing, I kindly said no it's okay. She finished that side, onto the other side I felt it a lot and asked if I could get some more numbing, rolled her Eyes AGAIN and proceeded. When she was all finished the two sides were very uneven and she had to fix it more than 3 times, I could tell she was getting very impatient but I did not care, these are my teeth. I must update this review - this place is a joke. I began the process of getting a permenant implant with this business. On three occasions I had an hour wait and the front desk staff was honest about the fact that tbe dr leaves his house late in waterbury. In additon he is only in three days a week making any committed process with them impossible. The doctor- though he has a very poor , unprofessional and has an arrogant attitude is a good surgeon. I give credit where it is due. He numbed me well and worked fast . However on top of the other mishaps the lab they use is god awful and after them messing up a flipper for me twice and leaving me with no front tooth for almost a month the dental office itself struggled to take accountability. I had 9 unreturned phone calls and paid for a service it took almost a month to them to produce. When promises went unmet and phone calls unreturned , I left an honest review on the office managers poor work ethic. FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK. An already unprofessional office manager proved herself fo be more unprofessional as she tried to lie and blame the nothing but helpful office staff not giving her messages. Upon returning to the office the doctor embarrassed himself by giving me printed copies of my reviews ( as if i was ashamed ) and told me I was melicious for writing it . ( you can see original below) How child like a professional would be more worried about a review then getting a tooth in my mouth. I offered him copies of my cell phone record as proof the manager kim was not doing her job, he didnt want them , clearly because hard proof intimidates the big man trying to play hard. The DR. I just walked out of Barnum Dental and will NEVER go back again. I went there for a bad tooth ache. They have a new Dentist that is so Nasty and rude. All they for me was x-rays. Dentist told me I had a hole in my tooth and two other teeth had to have root canal and the nurse said she would send me someplace else for that. I said you mean you don't do that here anymore? The dentist wouldn't pull my tooth until I took antibiotics for a week and wanted to send me home when pain meds. He didn't even ask if I was on any at the time which I was with my pain management doctor who told me that the pain meds I'm on don't help with tooth pain. I asked this dentist after he pulls this tooth can he send my denture back out to add on the tooth that's pulled because I hadn't picked up the denture yet from them. He nastily said you need to do a new one because it's been here for a year and it wouldnt fit anymore. What a lie that was, the office called me 3 weeks prior of me coming in there telling me it came in. After being referred to by a friend who had nothing but good things to say about this practice, I was hoping that I would have an equally good experience. Alas, this was not to be. I have insurance that is finicky at best when it comes to covering dental stuff, like the infernal hole in the last molar on the left side of my mouth. It used to be a deep filling and everything was a-okay with it until I made the poor life decision known as trying Pretzel M&M candies when they first came out in 2010/2011. My tooth cracked in half, so the filling and all went the way of the Dodo. Long story short, I've seen 3 different dentists about this broken tooth. One dentist in 2010/2011 said I absolutely needed a crown, which he couldn't do because my insurance didn't cover it. Second dentist in 2014 said that it didn't need a crown, but she suggested that I could get just a plain filling for it. Since she knows that I don't wish to have a mercury amalgam filling, she suggested trying to find a dentist that takes my insurance that is covered to do resin (white) fillings. So, this is where Barnum Dental comes into play. One of my friends lives in the area, had root canals, crowns, etc. done there and can't praise them highly enough. I even accompanied him to a couple of dental appointments and got to sit in the room with him and watch Netflix while he got his teeth cleaned and other procedures and I had no complaints. He and I have the exact same medical/dental insurance, so I took a chance and tried to see if they could see me too. So, I booked an appointment and was seen by a very nice lady dentist. She agreed with Dentist #1 that I saw back in 2010/2011. She explained in detail that she felt the tooth was too damaged for a filling and felt regardless of whether it was a resin or mercury filling, it would just fall out. She said she would contact my insurance provider and see if they would cover a crown. So far, so good, or at least that's what I thought. I didn't hear from them for a few months, and with the holidays and all that jazz coming up, I got distracted and let it go until last month. I finally called the office and asked what the story was with the status of my crown. The medical receptionist informed me that the request for a crown was denied, so they would try a filling. I was fine with that, seeing as how my dentist here in Seymour won't clean my teeth until the hole in my tooth is fixed and my gingivitis isn't getting any better without a cleaning. I show up again, see the same lady dentist again, and she tells me the exact same thing, and tells me that she actually didn't change her mind and decide to do the filling, so she basically wasted my time. To rub salt in the wound, the staff (who was nice and courteous up until that point) started getting short and a bit rude towards me. The office manager started to talk to me about paying for the crown out of pocket which is absurd seeing as how the crown is at least $800 out of pocket and I make about half of that per month! She stopped talking about it midway through the pricing and said that my insurance somehow had the wrong date of birth down there for me, so she wasn't going to discuss the matter any further until I straightened out the issue with my birthdate. I called right then and there, only to find out that my insurance provider's phone line was closed for the day. This is something that they may or may not have been aware of, but still, seeing as how they had called my insurance company while I was in the dentist's chair, they could have alerted me that business hours for the customer service line were drawing to a close and that I should probably just go home and all at another time. I ended up walking out of Barnum Dental because I was tired of the lack of communication and the poor attitude they were starting to have about the whole situation. At this point, I'm going to contact the Caring Families Coalition to see if they can point me in the right direction. It's ludicrous to expect someone who makes $400 give or take per month to pay out of pocket for a procedure that someone else with the same exact insurance received for free. If you can, I suggest going to Dentist #1, better known as Dr. Neil Graber in Huntington, CT if he takes your insurance. He does excellent work and both he and his staff are personable and they give you solutions, not excuses. read more

This is the best dental office in Stratford by far!!!! From the front desk to the dental hygienist to the dental assistant and dentist himself, everyone was so pleasant and caring! I used to be so scared of the dentist until I met Dr. Boris who is thorough, knowledgable, and very caring! He took the time to go over every x-ray, answered all my questions, and explained everything that I needed to get done. He has such a gentle touch! Pros: Professional and friendly staff, very easy to get an appointment, very nice clinic CON: This location is very close to where I live compared to my usual dentist, so I decided to give them a try. At my checkup they did xrays and said I had 2 cavities on right side, 2 cavities on left side, 1 crown needed on left side. Work was broken out into 3 appointments. I had 1 side done, and the teeth that were worked on started feeling very sensitive. I thought maybe, it'll go away. A couple of weeks later, I had other side done, and same sensitivity started happening. Cancelled my 3rd appointment and told them to look at the work that they did because the teeth that they worked on were feeling extremely sensitive. I didn't have a problem with them prior to getting the fillings. They examined my teeth, made some adjustments, still felt sensitive afterwards. Decided not to go back for last appointment. Went back to my usual dentist who did the same xrays/exam, turns out, the remaining tooth that supposedly had a cavity, didn't have a cavity. The tooth that supposedly needed a crown, didn't need a crown. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Barnum Dental. I won't go as far as to say they're scammers, I just think they made a HUGE (and costly) mistake on my xrays. read more

Based upon a recommendation from a coworker, I went to Barnum Dental at the 1100 Barnum Ave address and was treated VERY WELL. Without exception, all of their care givers were courteous and spoke loudly enough when I told them that I have severe hearing deficit without any hint of annoyance or being condescending. The dental exam, x-rays and cleaning were thorough, hopefully not just because they know I am an RN and recognize a good job when I receive it. WITHOUT injuring me in the process, Sada, the fabulous hygienist, took all the time that was required to do what turned out to be a very time consuming, deep cleaning with both a Cavitron and then followed up with manual scaling. No quick-fix, one size fit all treatment here. Sada is very responsive to my frequent need to expectorate Given the number of dental care providers that I have visited over many decades, this experience was indeed a novelty for me. I look forward to returning here for my next appointment. read more

I scheduled a dental appointment on 1/8/20 at 9:15am. I arrived at 9:05am to allow myself time to fill out any necessary paperwork. At 9:40am I had still not been seen and I had to get back to work so this was becoming concerning to me. I asked the receptionist about how much longer until I was to been seen. The front receptionist went back to check on the wait time and then moved me a room, to continue to wait as if moving me into a room made waiting less frustrating. Tens minutes later a disheveled looking dental assistant named Rhonda entered the space where I was. She asked me what was going on and said she needed to take x-rays. I informed her I was there because another dentist did not do a good job filling my cavities and I was in pain because of it and needed help. I also informed her there were a few other areas in my mouth causing me pain. I told her if it was easier I could have the other office email over the x-rays I just took and my dental file. She told me to do that and I went to the front to sign a release form and they sent over the paperwork. At this point it had been about 50 minutes I had been waiting to see the dentist. Rhonda told me that the front receptionist was trying to figure out the system to open my information and it would take 10-15 minutes for her to do that and asked if that was ok? I responded "I guess I have no choice". 15 more minutes pass and I see Rhonda come in with the woman who was waiting after me. She told me she was going to switch my room and she put the woman where I was and moved me into this back room which was dingy, outdated, and not as sanitary looking as the first room was in. The trash was open and over-flowing with crumpled up gloves, gowns, and God knows what else. As someone who is slightly germ phobic this made me anxious. Yet another assistant asked me why I was there and having to explain the same thing over and over was becoming disheartening, why was there no communication between staff? What furthered my anxiety is that the dentist Dr. K (the receptionist refused to give me his entire name) walked behind he into the office and started loudly blowing his nose and the other dental assistant in the office was coughing as she was walking around too. I was practically in tears of anger in frustration at the point...1 hour and 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I tried my best to remain calm until I could hear the dentist I was waiting for sitting down and talking to a man who had come in AFTER me. I went in the hall to confirm what I was hearing and sure enough he had skipped right over me and was caring for another patient. I was livid; I grabbed my things and walked out. On my way out I noticed there was at least 8 other people in the waiting room and as there was only one doctor in the office I knew they too would be waiting for more than an hour because of how backed up things were. Never in my life have I experienced sure horrific and unprofessional "service", I use that term loosely because I was never served just ignored, discarded, and angered. I called from my car to get the names of the doctor and assistants, as well as make sure that my personal information that was emailed over was deleted for my privacy. Rhonda, who was just rude and aggravating from the start, answered the phone. I informed her I walked out because of the horrible way I was treated. She told me "well you refused to take x-rays so you can't be mad if it took so long." First of all, I never refused to take anything, she is the one who said this would be faster and she also lied to the front receptionist and said I refused to take them. Who refuses to take x-rays? Why on Earth would I have done that especially if it would have expedited the process? I told her that I was going to write a review and report the office to the provider grievance line and she said "well l go ahead and write your little review, I don't care and have a good day", before hanging up on me. I called back 5 times and she immediately hung up on me each time or sent my call directly to voicemail. On the 6th time I was connected to the front receptionist who I complained to about her incompetent staff and she told me she would have the office manager Kimberly call me. She also told me all calls are recorded so hopefully Kimberly will hear what Rhonda said to me and write her up for her behavior at least. She gave the assistant's name but when I asked for the doctor's name she said Dr. K and refused to give me his full name asking that I speak to the office manager before writing my review or making a formal complaint. I went home immediately and filled a formal grievance with the provider grievances center, who took a full report and will be sending me instructions via mail on how to move forward in lodging a formal complaint against this practice. I plan to more forward to the fullest extent with that complain and post my review to ever major dental review website in the Connecticut area. read more

The most incompetent and unprofessional ever. I went in last week to get a temporary filling for my root canal. They took my insurance information and td me I needed a crown, which I already knew. According to the Doctor, I could have it have done right away with the primary insurance that I have and my secondary insurance would cover the rest according to the girl who handles the insurance. Great I thought and so they scheduled me to come in for the crown yesterday. I sat there for a whole hour and a half only to be told that they didn't know what my copay would be for the crown. It's not rocket science that anyone with a brain working at dental office, handling insurance, would have confirmed this with the insurance company knowing that I was coming in to have work done. Instead, From the office manager I get a "Well we can reschedule you for next week and the girl who was supposed to take care of this isn't here and the insurance company is closed". They called me the day before to confirm that I was still coming yesterday and no one thought to see the what the copay was going to be? I just asked them to cancel and future appointments, give me X-rays and close my account. If they are not logical and professional enough to handle insurance issues such as a copay they are not responsible enough to do any work on my mouth. I was so upset that u couldn't sleep at all last night and all they could offers is a rescheduled appointment to come sit for another hour and a half only to be given another excuse. Apparently clear communication is of top priority at this office and the people they have handling insurance issues should be fired. A complete and total waste of time. This was my daughters first time in the office and we are both pleased with the service received. There was no long wait at all. The hygienist Ayesha was great. She made my daughter feel comfortable. I went to Barnum Dental clinic at the recommendation from my fiancé and it was a great experience overall. Dr Veerjinder and his staff were extremely professional, attentive, courteous and friendly. He was telling me exactly what he was doing with each new step and would tell me what to expect, and to raise my hand if I need him to pause. I really liked that I was able to talk candidly with Dr. Veerjinder and he described my issues in a clear way. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything well. Dental visits are never fun but this was definitely the best experience overall compared to other dental offices I've been to. Highly recommended. read more

I have been to four dentist in 40 yrs. This was horrible. On my first exam i waited 45 minutes to be seen. I had gotten X-rays and bit into a plastic piece took it out of my mouth and saw it has been bitten 100s of times. I said aren't you supposed to put something over this? she said OH I COULD, I said ok or I wont continue. When i went for my cleaning the doctor cleaned my teeth. It took 9 minutes and in 9 minutes i was soaked all over my face and had to go home and change my shirt. I have never experienced anything so horrible. read more

I was very impressed with Dr.Tayal. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and helping me prevent future problems. I've been to other dentists and nobody has pointed out that the way I was brushing was actually causing harm. He's the first dentist to clean my teeth without me feeling a thing. He didn't push doing xrays or other needless things which is one of my fears. The office staff was friendly and the other dentists were too. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and the office hours could fit anyone's schedule. They're NYU graduates and that says a lot. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I went to Barnum Dental located in Stratford for a regular checkup and had my appointment with Dentist Veerjinder Singh. I was told I had a couple of cavities that needed to be taken care of. The dentist proceeded with the fillings. He worked on my left side, both, 2 top teeth and a bottom tooth. As soon as I left, I noticed that when I closed my mouth I didn't have my teeth aligned with the top and bottom. It felt as if I had a small rock preventing my top and bottom teeth to meet like they normally did. On the bottom tooth he worked on, with my tongue, I could feel something sharp . I also noticed that on the top teeth that he also worked on, it felt like one large tooth. I noticed all this walking out of the office and towards my car, but figured it was ok I mean it was only fillings, nothing major. So I start driving, heading to the Walgreens in Stratford (not even a mile away from the dentist office) and I end up having 2 small, hard pieces of something loose in my mouth. I look in the mirror and I have a hole on my bottom tooth. I never make it to Walgreens when I have to head back to the dentist and immediately he says "you cracked it." He's getting ready to "fix" it. I ask him for dental floss because as I mentioned earlier, my 2 top teeth felt as if it was one long tooth. The floss doesn't glide between my teeth, I ask him if this is normal (obviously it's not) and he takes the dental floss and tries to force it, it doesn't go through. He finally "fixes" both issues. Hours later, once I get home, I notice my mouth is sore, I look in the mirror and see several small cuts all over my gums and on my cheeks ( maybe I didn't notice before because my mouth was numb). The next day, I feel my jaw heavy and sore, I couldn't chew with my left side. A few days later, I noticed that it was uncomfortable to eat with my left side. If I had something cold, I felt my teeth got cold. If I had something hot, I felt my teeth get hot. This was on both top and bottom teeth. I feels like the pain when you have a cavity and eat candy only added with a cold/hot temperature. Weeks went by and I still had that same issue, I couldn't eat on that side and I was actually still in pain. I really didn't want to go back to that office to "fix" it again. I tried going to other dental offices, but they all turned me away because they said my insurance would not cover the same procedure twice within a year and they wouldn't get paid because the original dentist already got payment. About 3 months after my visit, the filling comes out, I have a huge hole in my mouth and now I really can't eat from my left side. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM THIS "DENTIST".... Again I only had tooth fillings, nothing major at all. read more
