I have been dealing with this company for years and it is impossible to get a straight answer from them. After 4 years I gt a settlement. I received a letter stating that I was one off many that would receive additional fund due to the severity of my case. This was 4 years ago. I have called and called and called. My case worker name is Sandra. She never takes my calls. I am due this money and it is mine. It is not like they won't be getting a chunk of it. WHY will you people not keep us updated on our cases? I went to Baron & Budd for assistance when my hernia mesh implant began causing extreme pain, discomfort and caused me to miss an abnormal amount of time from work. They quickly wanted me to sign a document which gave them authority to represent me in a class action suit against the Mesh Manufacturer BUT since that time I call and cannot get anyone to advise me of the status of the claim by phone or email. It seems as if they don't care enough to let me know what is going on! The worst service I have ever received, I have even thought of hiring another Law firm to begin investigating them to see what the heck is going on, my question is have they settled and are keeping the money or what, not knowing is causing me additional stress and emotional duress. I am unimpressed with this law firm. I was sent a legal document to sign in advance of a payout for a class action lawsuit. They had my name wrong, a misspelling of a name that I had not used in over 10 years. I sent the document back with an explanation why they should correct my name. Inexplicably, I received the settlement forms in the same wrong name. When I called to point this out, they offered to resend the documents with my correct name but hinted that I might have to be responsible for the postage!! read more

I have been trying to get a call back for months for an update and status on a claim. The have been handing a case for my father's claim for damages that happened back in the 1960s. He died in 1998 and there are still several companies that we have not been compensated for. They seem to be very incompetent and uncaring. I would not advise anyone to use this firm. read more

I have been a client of Baron & Budd for 12 years. I recently received a settlement and they took out over $6000 for medicare. My husband did not have medicare and he was exposed to asbestos pre 80 so it shouldn't affect my settlement anyway. I have called and left messages and they will not return my calls. Worse attorneys ever. They lied to me and wife. They promised me a hold back fund and promised my wife big settlement. My wife did all the paperwork. Sent all the medical files. Then after all work she did. They settled out for 100k attorney took 40k settlement Alliance who they work with took 15k then after waiting for 5 years while still having medical issues she got 30k. Complaint Description: We entrusted Baron&Budd to handle a law suit for my father who past away.They have settled several cases& had us to sign releases but no money recieve My father filed a lawsuit Baron&Budd to handle his Asbestos and Mesothelioma case. The first couple of cases went as planned my father was paid on those cases. But in 2002 my father told me that he was waiting an additional settlement for 2 other defendants which would have paid out $42,000.00 but my father was in a car wreck right after that and it left him in a coma for 2 months. I called while my father was in a coma and talk to Linda who verified that the next payout would be $42,000.00 but they were still waiting to release it because she thought I was my mom she told me about the settlement because me and my mom have the same name. After my dad died and we called them they told us that they never told us that he had $42,000.00 pending in one of his claims. They have then since then had us sign several releases but we have not receive not one dime from any of them. Normally when a person signs a release for a attorney means that a settlement offer has been received. But they had us signing away our rights to sue these companies in the future but we never received any money from the releases. I believe for over 14 years they have pocketed the money from dads case and the companies have paid them. They have continue to lie year after year claim that they never received a enough money to pay my family any money but then why if the claim is not really paying are they going after these companies. They have had us sign our rights away with due course to sue the companies at a later date. Then their law office should have let us go after them in court ourselves. But the reason they didn't is because they have people signing their rights away and the only persons gaining is their firm. They are a crook and need to be made to give back the money they have stolen from my dad. They should be looking after the client and his families because without us they wouldn't have all the money and big offices they have. I'm hoping by filing this with your office it will shed the light on how Baron and Budd do business. My sister die in 2008 from the same type of cancer that they were representing my dad for and she never saw a dime.
