From walking into the veranda with the gorgeous fountain, to the super friendly, attentive and happy staff at the front desk, to walking into your suite and being blown away with the space, the indoor and outdoor showers, the outer patio, the big bed, the heated bathroom floors, the walk in robe, the big TV with DVD selection OR the beautiful little touch of biscuits and port on arrival for you. PHEW! The Louise is also home to Appelation, which is constantly rated to be one of the best restaurants in Australia. But even if you stay at The Louise without going to Appelation is is extremely worth it. I'll be back when I have a few hundred spare dollars...

The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was because when actually booking the accommodation there was some confusion with whether or not the card we used has actually worked! But once that was sorted and we arrived, the actual experience there was definitely 5 star. We arrived and were greeted by Joylene, one of the owners of the B&B who was just lovely. We stayed at Treetops Downunder which is the downstairs apartment. There is an upstairs place to stay and they did have other guests up there but we did not even see or hear them the whole time. There was a bottle of complementary red wine from their own vineyard and freshly baked biscuits waiting for us on arrival - very nice touch. Being a Bed & Breakfast, they had the fridge fully stocked with local produce - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, yoghurt, strawberries, bread, orange juice and any other things you might need such as coffee, tea, milk and butter. The Downunder apartment was a full kitchen so you could look after yourselves completely. Decor was just gorgeous. There was music playing and candles burning when we arrived and a lovely big king size bed. There was also a 2nd bedroom. There was a TV, cd/ipod sound system, some DVD's as CD's and lots of books around the place. They also had the usual helpful tourist pamphlets and maps of the Barossa. But....my favourite thing....was the 2 person spa bath! So wonderful!! It had jets and was heated. So relaxing. There was an incredible view from their property and we had a little outside area to sit and drink wine or to eat brekkie. Overall it was just fantastic. Everything was thought of and helped to make our getaway super relaxing. Would love to go back! Thank you Malcolm and Joylene.

It's been a while since I've been up in the Barossa Valley, so when I was recently in Adelaide I…read morethought it was a good idea to grab my parents and then go up there and check out the pubs. Well, since I love my beef schnitzel, and South Australia is basically the only place that serves it, I decided to come to this pub, particularly since it was the nicest looking pub on the street. Well, it turned out that I was well rewarded, particularly since they also had craft beers on tap. Then again it is the Barossa. Oh, and the Schnitzel was pretty good as well.

Absolutely pleasantly surprised - wonderful menu with yummy veggie options like the eggplant schnitzel. We were sitting in a beautiful room by ourselves. We were greeted by a man who showed us where the high chairs were and said hello to Boo (always a tick in my books) I fed her while our food was delivered and the waitress didn't bat an eye so felt extra comfortable. Food was amazing - the chips had a lovely chicken salt on them and the eggplant schnitzel was crisp and yummy. Of course we stayed for dessert and the Mississippi mud cake was SCRUMMY! Recommend - plus is buy one get one free in the entertainment book!
