There was a misunderstanding about dates and instead of taking some responsibility for the mistake because the date gets put in my phone as soon as they say the date and their excuse is that maybe it was a 3 written like an 8 not maybe they just said the wrong date and I had to clear a schedule for it. Cleanings, in the past, have been very painful and I truly had to convince myself to get another. Sierra was amazing. Very careful, thoughtful and gentle. I experienced very little pain or discomfort. The experience erased all fears I had stored up from the past. She is truly gifted. Dr. Melling took the time to explain the problem with my tooth and the options that he would recommend. He also noticed a problem that was on "watch" and made the x-rays to be sure it would continue to be monitored. I can highly recommend Melling Dental.

I was referred to this dentist and I was less than impressed! My cleaning was just fine, but…read moremeeting with Dr Eggen was way below what I was expecting. He walked in and didn't even bother to introduce himself, was arrogant, immediately told me he only works M-W and emergencies are handled elsewhere. My first impression wasn't impressive AT ALL! He looked in my mouth and said that I need to brush and floss better (although his hygienist told me that my teeth and gums are very healthy for my age) and asked when was the last time I saw a dentist. I told him that I have seen a dentist every 6 months since I was a child and follow through on all appointments. He pointed out that I have broken teeth, cavities and crowns that need replaced or repaired immediately. I received a quote that was absolutely ridiculous! I told him I have never had an issue with my teeth and especially the ones he pointed out and he said, "well, nobody has the top of line equipment and X-rays like mine". I told him they weren't bothering me at all. I decided to get a second opinion and when I scheduled that appointment, they requested the X-rays from Eggen Dental. The X-rays that were sent over were horrible quality and blurry (I could even tell), so I had new X-rays done. The new dentist said the "broken teeth" weren't broken at all and those were just lines in my teeth. The new dentist asked if I had issues or pain with those teeth and I said none. He said he would prefer to recheck in 6 months as he didn't see any of the issues Eggen dental said I had. I will never return to Eggen dental as I felt talked down to, felt as the dentist was arrogant and that he was just making things up about issues with my teeth. My new dentist came highly recommended and I will keep my business with a dentist that is friendly, not arrogant and doesn't make up issues that don't exist.

The hygienist, Paula, said it was time for x-rays. I told her that I did not want x-rays because I have had no issues and I have other concerns as well (none of their business). She was a little huffy about that and said she would inform Dr. Banks. She came back and said he was mad I wouldn't do the x-rays. The cleaning went on as regularly scheduled and when complete she went to Dr. Banks and informed him it was time for my oral exam. Dr. Banks refused to do the oral exam and told her it was because I wouldn't take x-rays. Prior dentists have informed me that if I haven't been having issues it wasn't necessary based on my dental history. Dr Banks has always been nice but now has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. I asked the dental office to have him call me....crickets. I am the customer putting money in their overpaid pockets. This isn't the first issue I have had with this office but the others were billing issues which they took care of them because of misinformation. These people are overpaid which shows by their extravagant office.

Broke the tooth off at the root . Threw the tooth on the table and said you need to see a ortho surgeon. Gave her no prescription for pain meds or antibiotics. She was later rushed to the ER where they gave her the care she should of gotten at Dr. Alen Stewart office. The office wifi was down and they didn't give her any after care information. The nurse seem as if she was afraid to speak. She let that doctor work on my daughter like that. If there is an infection you start with antibiotics. Then reschedule an appointment for the right doctor for the job. You dont treat people like this. This is cruel.

Long story short, I thought I was in good hands with Dr, Ryan S Gunn but apparently after issues…read morewith one of his staff members whom I believe was manager of billing and an unfinished crown as he decided we should part ways, my insurance company led me to another dentist in town I was not aware of and most of what Dr Gunn did had to be redone and now I am very pleased with results from new dentist. Most recent issue, a tooth crown he did only about a year ago literally fell off into my mouth after a simple gentle brush cleaning, I was shocked and now he refuses to be accountable for it and accusing me for asking him for more and more money over a previous refund check he wrote due to his office staff lady situation of attempting to over bill me since the to be crown over implant was mostly prepaid prior end of year. I am left with an expensive dilemma since the crown that fell off cannot be recemented over what is left of that tooth which was in fact a healthy tooth to begin with. Since June 25, 2024 my text messages are being ignored after I waited for him to come back from vacation. Or the staff is not getting the messages to him for obvious reasons. I reminded him of how the staff member out right lied to United Health Care agent that the tooth work was completed on the crown over implant, as she did not know I was on the phone listening. When I interjected the conversation, she went silent and then stumbled with excuse of how they had to order special expensive parts. Agent made it clear that no payment from insurance company is valid unless the work was finished. A check was sent them but had to be returned of course once I reported the situation. At that point Dr. Gunn did not want me as a patient and I agreed at that point since too much hassle was stressing me out. He said he was protecting his girls? I said from what? Incompetence he refused to acknowledge? So now I need to pursue this new situation and am very distraught to even have to go through this. I did not think I would ever need to make contact with him nor that office again. Sorry to say but I have all the proof I need to further this to legal processing. Dentists to my knowledge have insurance coverage for this type matter; I expect he should use that resource for my reimbursement.
