It's a very slick operation - they know how to put you at ease about sending off an important piece of jewellery - and they took good care of it. I had it back within two weeks and it was in perfect nick, and has stayed in working order ever since. Knocking off a star because it was ridiculously expensive for a simple tightening job on a gold bracelet - £50! In all fairness I believe that covers the insurance in case anything happens whilst it's out of your possession, and they did a great job, but WOW - that's crazy money for 2 minutes work with a tiny screwdriver.

Lorus then took several weeks to tell me that they weren't willing to fix it even though it was under guarantee, so I was understandably furious. F Hinds, however, dealt with me with great consideration and care, and even paid for the repair because they could understand I was so frustrated at having been made to wait and then being refused when the watch was still relatively new. I certainly won't be buying Lorus again, but I will definitely be buying more things from F Hinds in future!

Its owner Mr Allen to be highly knowledgable about leather and gave me a brief explanation about them. He was able to advise me on which ones complimented my hardware best and his prices are very reasonable. His work was slick and seamless and I was out the door with a wearable watch again in less than 10 minutes!
