Unfortunately, as the root of all evil, being money hungry, manipulation and power trips changed EVERYTHING. From there, I went the legal route and on May 8, 2008, I started the hard battle I would ever fight. But Ms Seaton took my case in 2013 and through this law firm, they were there on my best days, my worst days, listened to me cry and vent, read my long rambling emails and did everything they could to support me from a distance. They always made time for me and FINALLY, on April 17,2018, it was all over! She got the fairest and best possible outcome for me and my children. I would, hands down, recommend them to any and everyone!

If you're looking for a divorce attorney you will not find better. The most important thing I can say is help Rachel's team help you. Make sure you have your documentation from day 1 if you can. Make sure your honest and upfront about things and remember documentation is king. When it comes down to he said or she said the fact don't lie. Respond as quickly as possible to document requests and if you can print things out and deliver to save some retainer money. At the end when you can't help but dance out of the courtroom and courthouse you know you made the right decision about the law firm you hired to ensure you get a reasonable and fair outcome.

I have thought a lot about posting this review, but my experience with this law firm, specifically…read moreElizabeth Peskin, was so extremely disappointing due to lack of preparation, poor communication, and significant clerical errors that I had to share my personal recent experience. A motion filed on my behalf contained basic mistakes that should never happen in a professional legal filing but the courtroom representation following it was the most disappointing part of the experience with Ms. Peskin. This law firm (Elizabeth Peskin) was retained for a circuit court motion filing and representation. I was not emailed, nor texted the motion to be reviewed before filing it with the clerks office on my behalf. I was not even informed of the filing by her or her staff. I happened to look at the clerk of courts website myself days after it had been filed to see the motion listed. The motion was incorrectly filed listing a total different name than mine as well as the fact that one of the case numbers included in the motion had already been fully resolved and should not have been part of the filing at all. This error itself appeared to create confusion before the court by introducing information that was not relevant to the matter being heard and negatively impacted how the motion was viewed. This error alone solidified a denial by the court. Communication from Ms. Peskin and her staff to me was very poor leading up to the hearing. I was instructed to attend court, which I did, yet Ms. Peskin did not consult with me before the hearing, did not speak with me during the hearing, and after the judge denied the motion, did not approach me to explain what happened. The only time any conversation was had that day was because I approached her myself outside of the courtroom as she was exiting the courthouse to ask what had just transpired. Despite being present in the courtroom as instructed, I was never called forward or included in any meaningful way regarding my own case. Additionally, Ms. Peskin appeared unprepared regarding the important facts surrounding both my case and the motion that was filed on my behalf. There was no clear demonstration during the hearing that the key details, background, or supporting information necessary to properly advocate for the motion had been adequately reviewed or presented. Based on this experience, it felt like my matter was treated as just another routine filing rather than something that deserved proper preparation and advocacy. Clients depend on their attorneys for preparation, accuracy, communication, and representation in court. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those expectations.

I'd give a negative rating if I could…read more I am a disabled vet and after applying for social security disability, I was denied. SDF law got a hold of my name somehow and contacted me indicating they have a 97% success rate in helping people and all they ask is they get a percentage of whatever back pay might be awarded. The entire process for claimants is a nightmare, intrusive and dehumanizing so I thought it might be nice to have an advocate and I agreed to have them represent me. They've done absolutely nothing that can't easily be done with anyone that can 'point and click' a mouse pad. They have provided little to no information on the process claimants will experience. There has been little to no communication after I was denied - apparently, they assume that we know an appeal will automatically be submitted (something I can easily do on my own - there's a big blue button for it when a claimant logs into the SSA portal). Further, there was no follow-up to the asinine assessment I was subjected to (23 minutes of mumbo-jumbo and reciting the alphabet) which clearly affected the SECOND denial I've received after going through the tortuous process. Even more, I uploaded a kazillion documents to 'prove' my claim and they had no idea about the records I've submitted to the SSA portal? It's been negligent. I called twice last week, left voice mails and received nothing back. The only reason I knew the appeal was submitted was because I logged into the portal and looked for myself. The lady they assigned to my case acted as though she was bothered by a phone call (I had only talked with her one time for less than five minutes). She said she speaks to thousands of people on her case load (well, that explains a lot) and doesn't remember everyone. I was afraid it was a scam and I was right. You have been warned.
