We had set up the bar with floating candle vases on either side of the bar, which were moved by the bartenders when we came down from the ceremony. We specifically asked if they would be providing a cute menu and the owner said yes. The drink menus were a basic word document with our drink names in Arial font and did not have any correlation to our theme at all. Our 2 signature drinks were a specialty lemon drop martini and a Paloma. The Palomas were not made right and felt unbalanced even after we provided feedback to try to correct it. The first few martinis were served without lemon juice and so I had to clarify the recipe with the bartender. I think I'm a better bartender that can taste and can make adjustments to make sure I'm serving the best drinks I can which is highly disappointing as we paid for "professional bartenders". Overall, I think they put minimal effort into the presentation and they did not serve great drinks. I would not recommend them. I would recommend hiring Elise from Honolulu Bartending Company as she was our bartender for another event and she was a dream and went above and beyond for us.

NO response at all. Then I finally texted him and this is the exact response I received. "Aloha sorry for the delayed response we with all of our events canceled due to covid we are trying our best to get refunds to our customers. Refunds are non-refundable but we are trying to give as many refunds as possible within 1yr from when they were received." First of all "refunds are non-refundable" makes no sense. Check your message before sending. Secondly, we had no contract that stated DEPOSITS are non-refundable.

Super convenient surfboard rental for my visit to Waikiki. I opted to do a week long rental (5-7…read moredays) for $150. They have a variety of long and shortboards to choose from, with the option to switch out boards during your rental period. You can either store surfboards there at the shop, or take them back to your hotel, which I did. I borrowed a 9' torq board, and they gave me the option to take wheels along with me to help move the board from place to place. This was SUPER helpful and I'd really recommend it. They also gave us a bar of wax to use during the week! There was one incident where I surfed too close to a shallow reef and my fin came loose, I brought it back to the shop and they were able to fix it promptly.  Staff were also really knowledgeable about the surf spots in Waikiki and gave us tips on where to go based on our skill level. Painting in Kaneohe, Hawaii…read more.. Paint nights have been happening for years and this is the first time that I got a chance to experience one. Thanks to Jessica and Jules for planning this group activity and organizing us! Before Jessica moves to the mainland, there were a few things that she wanted to do together and one of them was painting. She selected this picture of a waterfall with a flowering tree and butterflies because the other pictures looked "touristy"... haha! The venue (The Beach House) was a local bar in my neighborhood. It was convenient for me since I live and work in Kaneohe. I knew where it was (next to Windward Mall) and that there was free parking...and a restroom with curtains instead of walls to designate separate stalls! Tip: Just lock the door for privacy! Don't let anyone else in with you, ladies! Our instructor, Kate, was awesome! She was so bubbly, informative, and reassuring. I have never painted before and I have always wanted to try. I was afraid of the outcome...lol! This was a super great experience! All of the supplies were provided. Kate and her assistant, Lei, set up and cleaned up for us! We had a blast - and a finished product to remind us of a happy memory. Gosh, Jessica... I'm starting to really miss you already... waaahhh! (Crying a waterfall now...) =( P.S. He was extremely responsive and answered all my questions over the phone before the first lesson. He is very patient, always came on time and had a face mask on for every lesson. After each lesson, he would message me on my teens progress. Jay was very easy to work with and I felt he and I were able to work together to achieve our goals. Jay is an amazing instructor for both beginners and experienced drivers…read more I had to take the drivers road test after having a drivers license in the US for 26 yrs in 3 States (NJ HI CA ) , during COVID my CA license expired so the quickest way to get a HI license was to retake both written and practical tests all over again I was shocked I failed the 1st time I took the driving test in Kapolei . Since I was desperate to get a drivers license ASAP since I needed a 2nd form of govt issued ID for passport renewal so I was referred to to Jay and only spent 1 (90min) session with him to give me tips on how to pass and took me to the exact route where I was testing in Sheridan (2021) and passed ! I actually learned a lot from him despite being a licensed driver since I was 16yo (took HI drivers test at age 49) My daughter recently passed her drivers test as well and Jay made her drive confidently having had a PTSD/ fear of driving due to a car accident we had years ago when she was in 3rd grade which stopped her from wanting to learn how to drive and Jay was very patient in teaching her and now drives safely, confidently and very courteous driver on the road ! Awesome job Jay! You're very good and patient instructor ! I have highly recommended you to all my friends!
