The restaurant is in an old house up near the cathedral and botanical gardens. It is very cozy inside, with low ceilings, intimate dining rooms, and candle lit tables. Every time I come here, the place is full and the dining room is buzzing. The service is friendly and helpful. They have a pretty good wine list. On my last visit, I got a glass of red and a basic margherita-type pizza. Nothing special, but the food is well done, so even the very simple dishes are tasty. I always have a great meal here. Although it is a bit of a hike from the hotels in the middle of town, it is worth the walk. After you stuff yourself with food at Il Forno, you will probably need to walk some of it off anyway.
