It's been a good company for several months but now that I'm trying to have four garbage cans picked up because I've completed my yard project there's a problem. I've called seven times in the last week and they won't pick up the four cans. The address is on court and close to road 100. I've called seven times and the cans continue to sit on the street for a week. I'm going to call the City of Pasco and complain and bill Basin Disposal for storage of the extra garbage cans on my property. Since I'm a CBC business professor I'll track down the CEO and ask them to come to CBC business class to explain how this is good service. I don't know how many more weeks the garbage cans will be out on the road. read more

I live in pasco wa. I called at 4:40 pm. It said I was the 5th caller in cue. I waited on the phone 1hr. and 20 min. Then the call disconnected! It shouldn't take 10+ minutes per call! Then to disconnect? What is going on with this company. Seems like they do not want to get paid or there is not any people working there. ​If i could choose a different garbage company I would cancel them! driver left can in neighbors yard and on side. drove right by can. neighbor goes around picking up trash on roads that is left. litter along highway is trash coming out of truck as it barrels down. sure can tell new management does not care. We scheduled a bulk item pickup up a week in advance and we were told they would come on our normal trash day, so we out our stuff out the night before. It was 4pm on Friday and still had not picked up. I called and they said it was sent to another driver and rhey dont know what happened. Then they told me it was going to be about an additional $140 from previous quote of $12, but assured me they would pick it up on Monday. I called on Monday to confirm they were coming and she told me, no they are coming on Friday. Completely unacceptable! We live in a nice neighborhood where thisnis frowned on, and even if we didn't, it is disrespectful to any neighbors to have large bulky items blocking a sidewalk or obstructing the road!! 2022 is the year of being wiser about RECYCLE, REDUCE, REUSE! We shop weekly, and use our own shopping bags. So, now we can refill our bags and recycle before we go to the grocery store again! These people are terrible. They like to kick you while you're down. If you're late on your bill, they turn off your account and you can no longer go online to pay. I have extreme anxiety and making phone calls is a huge trigger for me, I prefer to pay online, but they try to force you to call. Then they took my cans on a Wednesday, I paid on a Thursday and do you think I have my cans back on Friday? Of course not. And last time they took my cans they only brought back one when I pay for two. Did I get a break on my bill for that? No. It's not like I'm out here living lavishly and not paying my bills, I'm obviously struggling. Is there any empathy from these people? No. I think I'll deliver my garbage to them this weekend, since I don't have cans, and save them the trip. read more

I have been skipped at least 4 times in the two years we have lived here. The latest was yesterday. I called and was told the driver would come back to get it. That did not happen. According to their phone message, their office is still closed to in-person contact for the safety of their staff (I assume for COVID). After much time on hold, I spoke with someone again, today, about why no one picked it up either today or yesterday, and was told that the bin is hard to spot (it is easy to spot), despite their not appearing to have had any such issue in the past two years we have been using their service. As they are the only service available for my area, I wonder how much their service could stand to improve if they had competition. read more

Our business has used their services consistently for over 16 years. The past two weeks, when they emptied our dumpster which is in the legally required enclosure, the worker did not close the gate afterwards, which they had just opened when they collected the trash. Mind you, the trash man has been closing the gate weekly for 16 over years already. When our office manager called to ask about the lack of usual customer service, instead of working towards a solution, the BDI employee claimed that if we want them to close the gate to the trash enclosure that they themselves open in order to collect our trash, then they would charge us an extra $16 dollars a month. What a garbage answer! I guess you can get away with this sort of behavior and excuses when you are a monopoly. read more

Their office is still closed because of "covid!" I called 2 weeks ago for a dump permit. They told me they only mail them out on Fridays. Come on people, it's been 2 Fridays and I still don't have it! Employees getting paid to stay home but they can't even place an envelope in the mail? We can go to a restaurant and sit 3 feet from the next customer but they can't mail one or come to work and tape it to the door so I can drive down there and pick it up. Geez... I had garbage service from Basin Disposal for four years before being transferred to the City of Walla Walla. Basin was great to work with, allowing me to reduce my pick-up frequency while I was working out of town part-time, which saved me a bit of money. On the few occasions I needed to talk to office staff, they were always polite and helpful. And, of course, the main thing: They picked up the garbage regularly, always at the same time, put the can back where it belonged, replaced the can when needed (actually, before I noticed it needed it), and didn't leave bits of trash strewn around as has happened to me in the past. read more

Some of the worst service around. Used to pay extra for drive in service, they'd skip us, sometimes multiple weeks in a row. Bills supposedly come every other month, sometimes. Online payment system sucks and won't let you log in to set up. read more

Such rude customer service! Been living check to check since hours were cut at my job. I paid what I could. I am now totally unemployed and have to wait 4 weeks for my first unemployment check. I called BDI to let them know that I was sending a check for half of my balance and would pay the remainder in 2 weeks. The customer service lady was so mean and rude. She stated it didn't matter if I send the money or not I was over due and they will come get my trash cans. That puts me in default with city ordinance which means I could have to pay the city a daily fine till my balance is paid, I pay a fee to start service again, and I pay a fee to have the trash cans delivered back to my home. I know I am in the wrong as a customer with a past balance BUT you can be nice and polite and state there is no way she can change company policy. read more
