This is the company you will be hiring and their work ethic. Originally, I hired them for junk removal, which went fine. Then the owner said they were also professional landscapers with great rates.
DO NOT hire them for landscaping. The owner is pushy, dishonest, and unprofessional. He calls as late as midnight. Does not show up on time and will show up after you specifically tell him certain times are off limits.
I hired them to put in a border along my fence line. I actually only wanted a line of pavers along one side of my fence to keep the dog in due to budget constraints. But the owner is pushy and after being very clear that I would be hiring for work in phases because of budget, I agreed to a full border along the fence line when he showed me the cost. He swore they did landscaping all the time.
I paid for black basalt, and he bought street gravel with more dirt than rock (the same kind that is in my driveway only less rock). Not only that, but he had them deliver 2x the amount needed. When I commented on this, the owner said, "You never know what you get with this company." He knew exactly what he was getting.
I paid for pavers for both sides of the border and he said he mismeasured, and it would be another $400+ if I wanted the rest of them. He didn't use any sand to set the pavers, they were crooked and uneven. Just sloppy.
They buried sprinklers, my irrigation box, and the electric box when they added the gravel. And the pile of gravel totally covered a corner sprinkler.
He charged 10% sales tax and our sales tax is 8.6%.
2 people spent 30 minutes max moving some wood out of the yard (I am recovering from broken shoulder and could not move it myself) and he charged me $200 (something he did not clarify ahead of time).
He charged $50 for "fix and repair irrigation system" which apparently translates to turn on the sprinklers and watch them go through their stations. They did not set the timers or do any repairs (I would have expected to pay more for repairs, but they didn't do any). They did find the water valve that was buried under dirt. They did do a nice job burying a broken sprinkler and leaving the sprinkler itself on top so at least I'd know where to dig. I had to call my former sprinkler guy out of retirement to come set the timers and repair the sprinklers.
I ended up terminating them and am hiring others to come in and fix the half-assed job this company did. We're still working on it. What a nightmare. My neighbors are loving the huge dirt pile on the corner of the street (not!).
