Someday I'd love to go to the museum in Vegas and compare. I really wanted to take neon classes here, but didn't get the chance to - neon classes are generally super rare from what I can tell. If you have interest at all, you should take classes!! The love, care and knowledge put into this museum is really obvious. I just wish it was larger and had even more signs :) Loved the "city" concept as a display. I'll think of the sign museum fondly when I remember Cincinnati!

We had spent way longer…read morethan expected browsing at Jungle Jim's and hurried our way over to the sign museum with an hour to spare. The employee let us know they closed in an hour, but we should still have enough time (an hour was the perfect amount of time for us to read and look at all the signs). It's priced reasonably enough that I would pay to go back and see it again if I wanted. Tons of signage (haha) to read about the signs. A couple of them had QR codes you could scan to read more about. The history of the sign industry was really cool to learn about, and seeing them lit up and in action was even better. I loved the way the museum was styled and designed, making it look like you're walking down a bustling street complete with storefronts, street lamps, and even a couple fire hydrants. If you're a fan of vintage artifacts and big flashing signs, then this is the place to visit!

It's art plus history, and some of the exhibits include tactile, audible AND olfactory enhancements. The classical old building housing the museum is a work of art in itself. That sweeping staircase! Not to worry, there are elevators. And the entire premises is fully wheelchair accessible including plenty of designated parking spots. There is a gift shop and a cafe on premises. My only regret from our visit is we only allowed 90 minutes. I would say at least two hours plus to see everything without rushing. They also offer guided tours, not sure of the duration on those. And..... FREE admission, free parking. And a great view from Mount Adams as an added bonus. What a gem!

This mural gives you quite the optical illusion of an impressive ancient building. I did do a…read moredouble take when I first spotted this one. Resembling some sort of Greek or Roman architecture (not sure) this is a stunning mural. It was created in 1983 by Richard Haas and restored roughly 20 years ago with funding help from Kroger Co. A documentary about the restoration of this mural titled 'The Spirit of Cincinnatus Growing with Cincinnati' was also made and entered into several film festivals. This is truly a must see mural.

The mural's actual title is Homage to Cincinnatus and over looks a parking lot. It is on the side of the downtown Brotherhood Building. It was painted by Richard Haas in 1983 and looks amazing. They did do some touchups in 2015 which was a collaborative effort between Hass and ArtWorks. The painters claimed that they almost had to start from scratch, which explains why it looks so good. It was commissioned by the Kroger Company in honor of their centennial. The mural depicts a statue of the city's namesake, Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, in front of a palatial building. It demands your attention. It has an antique feel to it. There is some in metered street parking in a reasonable waking distance. . There are also commercial garages and lots you can park in, but they are pretty pricy. I just pulled into the lot that it overlooked and got my fill and then quietly left. Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a very long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. You may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other murals in the area or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. I just did a mural tour of the downtown area. There are a ton within about a half mile of each other.

There are dinosaur exhibits, animal information, space exploration exhibits. The holocaust museum is separate and worth the trip alone. Don't forget to look up to see the architecture.

It was so beautifully built and so meticulously cared for and restored. I love that they carried the deco details throughout the entire space, including the restaurant areas. When you enter, there is a large ticketing area. They can help you with access to the main museums and for tickets to the movie theater. The staff is extremely helpful in guiding you to the right person and the individuals behind the counter are very helpful as well. I was using a reciprocal membership and once they verified Pittsburgh was far enough away (it very much is as Cincinnati is almost five hours from Pittsburgh) it was easy for them to issue us the tickets. We came specifically for the Auschwitz exhibit which was located on a lower floor. Signage was clear and there were ample staff to help guide to the appropriate location. In addition to the four museums covered by the one museum fee, this building also houses a gift shop, cafe area and the Holocaust Center (whose entrance is at the back of the space and a different ticketing system). There is a LARGE parking area in the front of the complex. It is an uncovered surface lot and on a busy day could be quite a walk to the entrance. You can, however, pull up right in front if someone from your party needs to be dropped off. I really enjoyed my time here, and will definitely be back to spend additional time in the various museums (as we were rushed because we spent so much time in the Auschwitz exhibit). If you are in the Cincinnati area, definitely make sure you visit.

Public Art [Florence KY]…read more On our way to Cincinnati we took a little detour to stop by this mural, we were nearby when I saw the check-in in Yelp. Well, it wasn't really as close as I thought since we were coming from Louisville (I-71) and still had to cut across US 42 towards Florence. It was still a drive (luckily, I have a patient husband). We found it and it is located in a quiet part of Main Street in Florence KY. The mural is painted on a brick wall of Stringtown Bar & Grill and is a little twist on the Looney Tunes signature closing sequence written over the bullseye, it says "That's Y'all, Folks!" Some people have discovered this sign for fun pics but I'm not sure if this quiet neighborhood will like it once it gets a little more popular. It was a fun stop, quick, unexpected and random. When I was nearby Covington visiting the Newport aquarium and seen that they had this mural I had to stop in and see this. Loved the movie little shop of horrors (1986 version) growing up. The mural is well done and boasts the classic "Feed me" demands of the carnivorous Venus fly trap. The mural brought back heart nostalgia for me. I could practically here Levi Stubbs voice yelling out "feed me Seymour!" When visiting. Overall very fun and cool public art mural. I always enjoy checking out towns murals and this is a fun one for sure and one of my favorites I've seen.
