They offer pasta dishes and salads for those odd people who go to a pizza restaurant and decide against ordering pizza ( minority i agree but we do exist). I opted for the chicken casear salad. It was delivered in a large bowl and was full of chicken and not too over the top with the dressing. Good choice it left me full after. The staff are impartial but friendly enough and whilst dining in at the take-away section of this restaurant isn't a fancy option (the adjoining restaurant fills that quota, complete with belly dancers), you'll have no qualms with the two plastic tables and plastic cutlery once your platters of food arrive. Save room for the turkish delight by sharing a plate between a couple of you and keep your eyes peeled for the actors from the play you're about see/have just seen. The meal came with free miso soup. It took approximately for the dishes to arrive. The sashimi platter comprised of salmon, tuna and yellow fin sashimi as well as scallops and oysters. The sashimi was fresh, the scallops sweet and fleshy and the oysters of a generous proportion. The spider roll (4 pieces) encompassed soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber and roe. The Agedashi tofu (4 pieces) was well cooked and had an adequate amount of sauce. The downsides to this restaurant is that it can get pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights, resulting in a wait for the food. Furthermore, the restaurant is next to an Internet Café, which results in smokers hanging near the entrance of the restaurant. Given that the front door needs to be manually closed, I have experienced several circumstances whereby cigarette smoke has drifted in. Overall the food was amazing, the ambience welcoming and comfortable and the service great. Ichiraku has a loyalty card whereby ten stamps will entitle you to a free shoyu ramen. They are ridiculously perfect - soft doughy insides, and served with softened butter! My brother and daddy will attest to the meat being exquisite! I found their vegetarian roasted vegetable fettucini to be the food of the gods. Perfectly cheesy, flavoursome and mouthwatering! The desserts? The apple strudel. You will feel like you are in Germany, eating Strudel with the German football team. I actually guarantee it is that tasty, served with vanilla anglaise to pour on top!
