I have a love-hate relationship with this company. Who can deny how fun it is to go into a store full of good smelling things? But I don't understand why they bring out scents, get you to try them and some of them you hate but some of them you love, and the ones you love they discontinue them to never bring them back again. Oh they'll tell you to watch out because there will be times of the year when they might show up in the stores, but they never do. I want perfect peony, meditative Waters and Renewing Meadow. Bath and Body Works store can be overwhelming scent wise, however when I went that wasn't the case. I love when they have the foam hand soaps on sale. I usually pick up at least two when on sale for under $4. I got the cranberry peach and another holiday scent. So far I'm enjoying the cranberry peach and love the lasting scent of the hand soaps. The sales associates are helpful and friendly. The layout of the store is typical of bath and body works, spaced out as much as they can. They follow the standard COVID restrictions. read more

Jon and I had an appointment in the area but had a little time beforehand, so we decided to stop in a bath & Body. I wanted to see if they had any fall stuff out yet. When you walk in, they have a bunch of hand sanitizer gels and sprays for you to use, which is nice. We were greeted immediately and pointed towards the fall goodies. Candles and hand soaps! They'll put out more items as we get closer to the season. I usually wait for a sale to buy my favorite 3 wick candles, but I was eager so I paid the full $25 for a damn candle. It's Pumpkin Cupcake and smells delicious! I got two single wick candles as well (2 for $20) in Eucalyptus Spearmint, one of my all time favorite scents. Jon and I also picked out 6 foaming hand soaps for $25. I love these soaps. The scent lasts on your hands for a long time and they foam and lather so well, plus they're moisturizing. We chose lemon, pumpkin cupcake, bergamot & chamomile... aaaand I can't remember the other 3 right now but 2 of them are autumn-y and the other is something citrusy/flowery! The staff here was so kind, all in masks, and made sure everyone social distanced. I'll be back when there's a sale for sure. read more

took my kids to use their gift cards today and had two baskets full. A young lady checked me out i handed her everything in both baskets spent $120 dollars. got to the car and my son noticed two items not in there. so, I took both bags walked up to counter and approached kindly and asked her why she did not put the hand sanitizer and holder in my bag and her response to me was I thought you didn't want it. I responded with I handed you both baskets never said anything about not wanting it. she took that into offense and went to tell me I had the attitude; she made the mistake and all she had to do was keep her negative attitude at home and not with customer service. There is so many kinds of scents for everyone that I doubt you could leave without buying something here. The store is much smaller then the ones I normally see in a mall so I did notice a much smaller selection of candles. Service is always great so it was what I expected. Parking the only issue, lots of great stores near by so be prepared to walk always. read more

If you're going to shop at Bath and body works in Arlington, I definitely recommend Parks mall or N Collins by the stadium. Some of the people there are friendly, and others are arrogant. This is coming from a previous B&BW employee. I worked there almost 2 months and never got paid. Finally I was able to get a hold of HR. No one in my training had ever showed me how to update my direct deposit or use the system other than the register. read more

I am eagerly waiting the return to their permanent location. This location is smaller, but the deals are always big!!

The new location is bigger and more spacious. The aisles get a little crowded for me because I usually have a stroller.. but that's the way it is even at the ones in malls. They have the same selection as any other store, if not more. I really want to applaud their work on the annual candle day sale today. They are the only store in the area that actually controlled the number of people in the store so everyone inside could shop as comfortably as possible (kind of hard to do anyways while carrying 50 pounds of candles!) They only let a few people in at a time, and you have to wait for people to leave to go in. The lines at the checkout weren't too bad, either. They even had staff members running around to find certain scents for people. All in all, it only took me about 30 minutes total to get in line, get inside, get my cheap candles, and checkout. The bonus of shopping in store versus online... you don't pay shipping AND they let you use multiple coupons stacked on top of deals... so I got an extra 20% off plus the candle sale! It was an epic win today. Can't wait for the semi- annual sale! read more

Usually I try to give places where I have had a bad experience a second chance. But when I visit and virtually every single time I leave with a bad taste in my mouth, it's not just me. On my most recent trip to this Bath & Body Works store, I had a gift card I wanted to use and I also wanted to take advantage of the semi-annual sale. When I walked into the store, the associate just awkwardly stared at me. To break the awkwardness of our interaction, I spoke and said hello. Instead of offering a bag or telling me of deals in the store, the associates at the front just continued talking to each other. When I made my way to the register, I proceeded to walk to the counter and the cashier said into the walkie that she was leaving at 2 pm and that someone needed to come relieve her at the register. Not hello or some other standard greeting. She communicated that she was ready to end her shift and acted like I was bothering her. As someone who worked years in retail, I truly sympathize with retail workers. However, it is never acceptable to be rude to customers simply because you're ready to go home. I checked my receipt on the way out and sure enough, it was 2:01 pm. Too bad there wasn't a survey on my receipt so that I could communicate this experience via store survey. Needless to say, I will only shop here in the future if I have a gift card or am here to redeem a free item. This store is not deserving of being patronized. read more

I just had the most comfortable experience in this store. There were two women standing at the door greeting (normal behavior) so I come in and one is very nice and welcoming. I begin to look around to see what new scents there were, and the lady with the shoulder length hair I notice starts following me around the store. (I think it's important that I didn't have a bag or purse, just cell phone and keys) I go look not even touching the products and she continues following me. There or other people in the store and I noticed no one was checking for them. I began to ask her for samples so she knows I see her there. She goes to whisper to the other associate at the door and they laugh out loud. At that point I knew she was making a comment about me. I didn't say a word I just went to thE counter and paid for my items and left. This was my first EVER uncomfortable experience in bath and bodyworks. Simply make sure to double check your transactions before you pay, and the new employees there, sometimes they try to convince you to buy more bc of the many discounts they offer, but they don't realize they're all for different types of items. As a past Bath and Body Works associate, I am disappointed. This place has very poor customer service. I just left and I have to say that I plan to make my visits very few and far in between. EVERY time I walk in this store, I am never greeted nor am I asked if I need help. I feel like I am being judged if I ask to use a coupon or a gift card (as I did today). Luckily, I didn't spend much time in here today...got in and got out. Then I thought, I always do that when I come to this particular store. That is because the associates make customers feel uncomfortable and unwanted. When I checked out with my purchase, I was not greeted nor was I thanked. I needed to purchase a gift for family members and I found 3 perfect candle holders. One was missing a sequin, but you could hardly even tell. I asked "Do you have any more of these?" And the cashier says to the assistant manager "She wants a discount on this because it's missing a sequin." That is not what I asked. The assistant manager takes it away and says "That's damaged. We can't sell it." She leaves and we ask for her to come back. We tell her we want to pay full price and buy it because we like it as is and we want to speak to the manager. "She's on break," she says, "and we can't sell it because it's damaged." When I asked what they were going to do with it, another cashier said, "We'll throw it away." I didn't get his name but when confronted about is appalling comment he acted as if this was the first he was hearing of this comment.
