They are made with clean ingredients and it doesn't affect my skin. Both the powder and liquid are my go to. I love that I can get them in any scent they offer. Magnolia and Narcissist are my favorite powder scents and 99 Pomlems is my favorite liquid scent. You get a $1.00 discount on refills if you bring back your empty powder container. Besides laundry they have various bath and body products including travel size! Again, all products are made with natural vegetable base products. It's a great place to host a birthday party or ladies night where you can make and take some of their popular items such as body scrub, bath bombs, soap etc. If you're looking to get rid of the toxic chemicals in your bath, body and laundry then this is the place for you. I routinely found the same bars of soap in different areas of the store, which became annoying as I didn't know what I smelled and what I didn't. I'll say I wasn't wild about any of the scents. When stiffing the soaps, I didn't find any of them to be overly fragrant, with the exception of the "lemon" ones which really smelly lemony. I thought for the price, I would have expected a stronger scent. It's cool to see the colors and patterns, but until the scent is as strong as Irish Spring (which you can smell from 2 aisles over at Walmart), I can't say $8 a bar is worth it. Maybe add a bit more of the scent juice.

However, the attention to detail was slightly off on this visit. I brought my empty canisters for refilling of my favorite laundry detergents. When I got home, I noticed one canister was filled right to the top (normal practice) while the second canister was somewhat lacking. (See picture.) Since it takes 30 minutes and major traffic to get to this store from my house, and given I did receive 25% off, plus an additional $1 off for bringing back my canister, I decided not to drive back to the store. I'll just be sure to check the canisters before paying next time I return. (Note: your receipt does not identify all your discounts. I had to call the store once I got home to verify the $1 off was taken on each canister. The employee explained the $1 off is not shown on the receipt; it's taken off the regular price. Since the "plus" detergent (with baking soda) is more than the regular detergent, you have to know the regular price of each before you verify the calculation. If all the discounts were properly shown on the receipt, you would not have to wonder if the price was calculated properly.)

There's parking out front and the two times I've gone I've found a spot right away. Lufka describes their shop as an online and IRL store for "sustainable, zero-waste essentials. From eco-friendly cleaning supplies to handmade body and hair care, we offer high-quality, lovingly crafted products that are good for you and the planet." I went in with a glass bottle to fill with laundry detergent (they have bottles, or you can bring any receptacle you have on-hand for them to weigh the product). We also grabbed some hair conditioner and a metal tongue scraper. All in all, it was a simple process and I feel so much better refilling this bottle rather than filling landfills with more detergent bottles (70% don't get recycled, even if you try).
