Sometimes a girl really does stay in on a Saturday night to wash her hair. All of the products smell SO amazing (understatement) and are handmade with love by a lovely local lady, Victoria T. Smith. I have really long, color treated hair that tangles easily so when I saw that the Blissful Brooklyn conditioner was featured on Good Morning America I had to try it! After using the conditioner, I was able to comb through my hair (which is about 20 inches long btw) without having to use a leave in conditioner like I normally do. I'm impressed!! It usually takes so long to brush my hair after a shower. I also purchased the Sweet Sofia Body Scrub. I would definitely wear that scent as a perfume! It's gourmand and also really hydrating with all kinds of yummy essential oils. Can't wait to try the Rose Clay mask. In the future I would love to try the Shampoo bar too and lip balm if available. This is the only place in town I can find Lapidus for Men and Cafe' a reasonably priced old school perfume that's excellent for everyday. They also carry the best (longest lasting) essential oils in town and will bottle them for you in a choice of bottle sizes. Some of the staff are willing to mix oil scents for you and some are not so happy about doing this, so it's a gamble, but if you want to mix up your own signature scent this is the place in town to go. As for the line/lines of soaps they carry, I hesitate to use the phrase old fashioned, and prefer the word vintage. These vintage scents evoke sense memory's of how my grandma smelled as she was readying for church. What's a better comfort than that scent?

I noticed her do it for others but not us. Thankfully, I had visited before and was able to help the rest of our group get started. Overall, it's a fun experience with a great atmosphere. The tables are set up in groups of 4. Check in with a staff member and they will explain the whole experience to you and get you oriented. The experience itself is free, and you pay based on the scented product you choose at the end. It took between 1 and 1.5 hours to go through all the scent options and concoct recipes for a signature scent. The website is super easy to use to track your favorite scents and submit your recipes. Once you're finished, you can choose from a bunch of scented products including lotion, perfume, body butter, beard oil, and shower gel. The experience was so much fun!! This is a great activity to do with friends or family! The only drawback was that it took forever for the staff to mix up our finally products. I don't think it was any fault of the single employee who was working -- I think the place was definitely understaffed based on the number of shoppers. It took several hours for the lotions and perfumes to get mixed up, so expect to wait or go get a drink/meal and come back. I highly recommend this awesome experience!
