I've been getting my shower products here for years. This year I'm trying new bath soap. I travel a lot and if you don't pack these in plastic bags they leak everywhere. The tops do not stay closed. I took one back after it leaked because I figured it was a broken top. I was told to pack it in a plastic baggie. She was pretty rude about it too. The next time I packed a new one leaked again. This time everywhere in my luggage. Unfortunately I did not put it in a plastic bag. I'm going to find a new product because even if it was in a baggie it would have all leaked out. So what's the point. I had a few bottles so I threw them out. These are almost $17.00, I'd love to see them make better tops for them. This is the new body soap I use. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I spend a ton of money here, but won't spending a dime more here. David and Danielle both refused to replace a soap pump dispenser that was not working properly. I brought just the soap dispenser pump into the store, not the bottle. I even had my receipt on my phone. They both said I needed to bring in the bottle. Why? There is nothing wrong with the bottle, just the dispenser wasn't working. Ridiculous. The soap dispenser pump probably cost the store about 5 cents, and I would have left a happy customer. Neither one cared. Never again will I shop here. You shouldn't either. Manager and cashier's need more customer service training. Take it from me. I worked at Nordstrom for 34 years!!!! read more

This is a review for the "manager" as they said who worked Friday January 10th at 415pm... I was returning an online order that did not come in time for Christmas. I went in and they tried to give me store credit but the receipt said if you return an online order in store you can get cash or store credit. The girl working the register said I have to get store credit so I did but then I asked for the manager based on what the receipt said... She came out and said next time I want to return an online order to do it online because they don't have a lot of cash. Well that was rude and you lost my business. I will always order online now and if I must return I will still return at your store :) read more

The store was a mess and the employees were no help. I purchased my two products with intent to cash out my card and was told "it's too late that transaction is over" despite cashing out the card being the sole reason for my visit. I was told there is absolutely no other way to cash out the gift card without another purchase and I needed to "go ahead and buy a hand sanitizer" if I would like to. I was talked down to and the employee didn't seem to care to fix her mistake of finalizing the transaction too soon. Will not shop here again. read more

This is not my favorite BBW. They are OBSESSED with their conversion. (For you non-retailers that's the percentage of people coming into the store verses the people who actually buy something) I feel like often times there are too many employees on the floor. Someone will greet you and ask you your favorite scent and you will turn around and another employee will be telling you their favorite candle scents. It's too much. Plus this store is so small! With all the fixtures it is hard to navigate the store without bumping into someone or something. The overly pushy employees have basically driven me to rarely shop here. I just buy it online-plus there's a better selection there. I will say, if you have any questions please ask the staff. They are helpful. (Especially if you are unsure of what to get as a gift. They can recommend scents based on what they like) read more

Redding California Store, Transaction on 10/30/2020 at1429 hours, register 004, Cashier #3499789: Somebody in charge should train this uptight young lady how to greet and treat customers; she was rude, condescending, acted irritated to be at work, made no eye contact, spoke at a low volume, and at the end of the transaction did not conclude the event by saying 'thank you' or 'have a nice day.' My wife, the customer, has been in business for more than twenty-five years. At one point, toward the end of the transaction she asked the clerk, 'Have I done something to irritate you? if so, I'm sorry.' The clerk did not respond. Another employee was standing about seven feet away and witnessed the entire rude behavior of the clerk. Instead of stepping in or in anyway trying to turn the transaction into a positive event, she (the second clerk) waited until the transaction was complete and, as my wife walked away with the product, said something to her partner like, 'What was that all about?' My wife had just purchased over $200.00 in product and was less than thrilled with the customer care. In this day and age, especially with the Covid pandemic and so many stores closing, you'd think a company would try harder. read more

Let me start off with saying that I LOVE B&BW candles. I love buying the new scents each season and have some old standby favorites. I was excited when I saw that our local store was expanding and opening a White Barn Candle store next to a moved and remodeled B&BW space in our local mall. Ever since it opened in this last year, I have been completely disappointed in the store. Now I am primarily speaking about the White Barn side of the store as I buy candles more than anything else there. Every employee I have encountered on that side of the store is rude and unhelpful. I'm apparently insane as I have gone back to the store a number of times in the last 6 months or so expecting a different result but nope, I always encounter rude employees. Can you smile for a split-second? Can you offer to help customers? Can you maybe not roll your eyes when people want to purchase something? Nope, nope and nope. I'm done expecting a better experience and won't be going to the this B&BW White Barn location any longer. read more
