A group of us stayed here for two weeks whilst in town for a family wedding. The facilities are…read moresimple, modern and clean and are offered as accommodation for students, workers from out of town, groups and visitors. Good location for town centre, not far from the train station, and has very reasonable prices. There are three two-storey buildings. Our ground floor level comprised of 8 double/twin rooms, plus communal kitchen and lounge areas. The bedrooms each have their own key, en-suite shower and toilet, desk and chair, small fridge, flat screen TV, built-in wardrobe and bedside drawers. The shared kitchen has fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, crockery and utensils, as well as large kitchen table and chairs. The kitchen cupboards have a little latch you can padlock. The shared lounge area is comfortable with several couches, computer desk, and flat screen TV. It was quiet enough most nights, though if you are in the rooms closest to the shared areas you might hear a bit more noise. The complex has laundry facilities, a vending machine, and a BBQ area with picnic tables. There is space for car parking, though it can be busy at the weekend. A few drawbacks - it can get quite warm, our party bought a few fans to keep cool. The wifi was also intermittent. Overall, we thought the Havannah Apartments made a great home away from home.

But then at check-in you are greeted by a warm smile from the receptionist then step into your motel room and everything is surprisingly normal not vintage 70s colored theme but fresh neutral colors with some simple details. Fully furnished serviced apartment for 4 people so awesome if you want if you want to fill up the fridge with snacks and drinks for in room chill time.

On top of all that you get a fantastic free breakfast each morning with your choice of hot or continental breakfast. You have to order the night before for the hot breakfast. First and foremost its a friendly pub on the corner of William and Russell Streets. That puts it in the middle of town within walking distance of a heap of cafes and eateries. You don't need to go far to find good food though as the bistro at the back of the pub does great meals - most of which are under 20 bucks. There is guest parking out the back but its a bit disjointed to get from the carpark to the hotel. Doesn't matter though as there is heaps of on street parking out the front. From the front of the hotel there is a separate after hours entry for guests staying at the hotel and lift if you can't be bothered with stairs (there's only two levels) The rooms are plenty big enough and have been refurbished so they're a lot more modern than your typical room above a pub. The room I stayed in had a queen bed, all new furniture, bar fridge, kettle and coffee condiments, flat screen tv on the wall, and a good sized bathroom with a shower. It was also really warm and quiet which surprised me considering its a pub in the middle of town! The TV reception was a bit hit and miss but with free wi-fi and Netflix it didn't bother me in the slightest. At night you fill in a breakfast order and tick off what you want and at what time. Then you head to the bistro in the morning at that time and your hot breakfast awaits. The servings sizes are huge too. I don't think I saw anyone actually finish their whole breakfast. They also have tea, coffee, toast, cereal etc available.

A great crossover of pub and restaurant. The atmosphere here is great. A great spot for beers after…read morework or a more formal dining on the otherside of the hotel. They do food that won't disappoint. A good special on Monday's is ribs and a pint for $25 (can substitute the pint). The service is there when you need it but not annoying. There's no Riff Raff here, P.s I must admit I haven't seen any kids / families but usually I go on weeknights, so I don't know the policy.
