We stayed at this lovely place for two nights on our first visit to the Blue Mountains and both John and Sipha made sure our stay was as comfortable and homey as possible. It made us glad to be there at night after a whole day of trekking. Their installations are the perfect balance between classic home feeling, and high end customer satisfaction installations. They even have their own small cinema for those cold nights you want to keep warm and relaxed! Breakfasts were always nice, sharing the morning with the hosts and some other guests. They provide a lot of information and help to make sure every guest enjoys their stay at their home. Next time I go to the Blue Mountains, I'm not even going to look at other places. We'll go straight to the Katoomba Manor. Highly recommended

Old weather-eaten tradies in hi-vis propped up the bar talking about their missing teeth, the matronly woman behind the taps was almost certainly called Beryl, and Tooheys New was like $4.50 a jar or something similarly great. It's old, it's careworn, it's dripping with history and the blue mountains and everything great about this great land. Not a lot of women in here though.

One the crown in the area ..... the other the poor alternative. On a positive note .... not everything has to be brand new, up to date ...... it just has to work, serve cold beer and ok meals ..... which it does. We used to stay here a lot. It used to be ok, a great base for exploring Leura and surrounds. Every…read moretime we go back it seems to get worse. The rooms are so dated and tired. We just stayed in 233 after requesting to move from 230 because I'm pretty sure the air con in that room was the same one Noah used on The Ark. The water pressure in the shower is abismal. The room just felt dirty, the bathroom needed an urgent update and our upgrade to a "spa room" really only afforded us a bathtub with some jets that boasted that nice orange mould which just screams "let me blast you with my bubbles" right? The breakfast is really average so having it included in the room price is really no benefit. There are so many lovely cafes in Leura, Blackheath and Katoomba that you're much better off saving your $15 and spending it elsewhere. If you're going to spend as little time as possible in the room then it will suffice. If you want a romantic getaway or are keen to relax in your room with a glass of wine after a long day then there are plenty of other much better options in the area.

The wine list was limited to surrounding areas. If you want the room to be a feature as part of your holiday then stay somewhere else but if it's just a place to sleep then it's better than some other places I have stayed.
