We were impressed at this first meeting with his knowledge and plan of action. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. We went in for the stress test and then waited for Dr. Sidhu to call us with the results. Three weeks later and numerous calls to the office, we're still waiting for a follow up and plan to go forward. Each of these calls included a long wait on hold, numerous apologies, assurances from Jennifer that Dr. Sidhu would get right back to us and then.....nothing. This whole experience has been frustrating and time consuming.

Writing five star reviews makes me happy…read more Writing five star reviews for doctors make me REALLY happy. That pure joy of happy five star doctor reviews is because five stars means my family or I have been treated with dignity, respect and with competence! All patients deserve to be treated as such. Our dear, sweet daughter was having some minor chest pains. It was important to have her checked out. Our cool and new family doctor referred her to the office of Dr. Saw and Dr. Lin. We were told both doctors were top-notch. Dr. Saw saw ('lil pun!) our daughter. Top-notch indeed! Wow- the employees; every single one of them were gems! All our our questions were respectfully answered without a hint of arrogance by any medical employee...refreshing! Dr. Saw was very thorough regarding heart tests; two total. Tests were done at his Pleasanton and Livermore offices. Our family was thrilled that the testing is done right there in his offices vs that nearby hospital...phewww! As Dr. Saw stated, by doing the tests in his offices, the hospital bureaucracy issues could be avoided. We agreed 100%! Happy to report that our daughter is fine and has a healthy heart... and a heart of gold. One issue of concern was in regards to the test results. We were told to make an appointment to discuss the second test results with Dr. Saw. That would have meant three office visits in three days; a lot of time out of our busy schedules. I called the office explaining this and requested that if the test results were fine, that we be notified. And, if the results were not fine, requested we be called and we would then schedule another appointment to discuss the test results. I was happy they agreed to my request. The technician did tell my daughter on the spot that everything was A-OK. I truly recommend Dr. Saw and his staff. Also recommend you request a follow-up appointment to discuss test results only if the tests show there is an issue that needs addressing. The entire staff is very friendly, informative and actually fun to talk to.

Like others have mentioned, you're going to pay out the wazoo. I asked for estimated costs and…read morethey looked at me like I was crazy. After 15 minutes of searching and 3 billers trying to figure it out they gave me the estimate. It was off by $800 which I didn't find out till 2 months later. Guessing they're mostly used to dealing with Medicare patients who don't care about the cost of the service and not those on high deductible. The nurse I interacted with was fine but I didn't even see a cardiologist so unable to comment. Would look elsewhere unless you've got the dough to drop.

Stay away from Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group in San Ramon, affiliated with Stanford…read moreHealth Care. They will likely bill you ~5X the going rate for a basic office visit. To add insult to injury, their overall customer service is pretty terrible. Just look at their reviews, and how they don't even bother having a customer rep reach out to those customers. If it weren't for the urgent nature of my situation, their poor reviews alone would've steered me elsewhere. I had a discomfort with my chest recently. I thought it may be heart related, so I went to John Muir Urgent Care in San Ramon the next day. They ran an ECG. The attending doctor didn't see any problems, but strongly suggested a follow up with a cardiologist just to make sure. The JM doctor referred me to Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group in San Ramon. At Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group, they ran exactly the same test, a ECG. The cardiologist spent no more than 10 minutes total talking to me, even less time than the JM doctor. Shortly into our consultation the cardiologist walked out and didn't come back until after about 20 minutes. I walked out of the office and into the hall way, asking if the guy was coming back. So, 5 minute chat, gone for 20 min with no explanation, then another 5 min chat to wrap things up. OK, not very professional, but whatever. The bill for the first visit at John Muir Urgent Care was $181 for the office visit and $90 for the ECG - more than reasonable. The bill for the second visit at Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group was about 5 times as much, $1,036. I called their billing department twice and left a message both times. No replies. On my third try, I got to talk to a lady who is supposedly the billing manager, after the initial billing rep I was talking to had a hard time explaining the 5X difference in billing. This lady basically said billing rates for such office visits have gone up drastically as of late due to the fact that the CPT (Current Procedure Terminology), which she claimed was amended in September 2017, allowed them to bill as much as they do. When asked to identify which part of the CPT code changes justified the increase in billing rate, she didn't know. When asked why such notice wasn't posted anywhere to allow patients to be aware of this fact, she didn't know. When asked why they didn't disclose this fact, even when I called ahead to inquire about estimated charges (something I do before every doctor visit), she pled ignorance. From what I've read online the billing department will usually try to work out a billing/financing arrangement with you. This lady didn't even bother with that. From my limited interaction with their medical staff (an assistant and the cardiologist), they seemed fine and competent. Even though my cardiologist walked out for 20 min and left me hanging, he came off as knowledgeable. However, if they will resort to this type of unjustifiable and ridiculous billing (charging 5X what a similar professional charges, just right down the street) for a basic office visit (ECG, plus 5 to 10 minute consultation), do you really want to see what YOUR bill is going to look like for anything more complicated? I will absolutely exhaust all measures, including contacting the California Department of Managed Health Care and initiating small claims action.

I made an appointment with Dr. Srikrishin Rohra for a second opinion…read more The original appointment was scheduled nearly six months out. Then, about three weeks before the visit, I fell and fractured three ribs--the 7th, 8th, and 9th on my left side. I called to reschedule, and my appointment was pushed back another 2 1/2 months or so. In the meantime, I fell again and broke my 3rd rib on the right side. I am 80 years old, and all of this has been causing me tremendous stress and pain. Now, my appointment with Dr. Rohra is just two weeks away. I was getting my information together and planning to bring it with me, since this would be our first meeting. Then someone from his office called and asked if I planned to attend. I told her yes. But instead of moving on, she began lecturing me--saying that I had canceled the last time, that there were many people on the waiting list, and so on. I received a long scolding simply for having rescheduled my previous appointment. After hanging up, I found myself wondering what that was all about. Then I thought: why am I being spoken to like a child for rescheduling? It wasn't last minute. The appointment was still weeks away. The more I thought about it, the less I liked it. So I decided to cancel altogether. If that's the kind of staff Dr. Rohra puts in charge, I don't want to see him at all. I am a patient, not a beggar. I don't need to be treated like that. I haven't even met the doctor yet. I am too old to be insulted in this way. This is very poor manners. Why is that woman working in a doctor's office?
