12/17/23 Batteries Plus review on sitejabber.com I was woken up one night by my ADT security system beeping at the panel. I got up and turned the system off and saw a BAT on the panel. Figuring it's time to replace the UB1270 ADT battery again, I checked prices online. Found them on Amazon for $24.99. I was leaving town on 12/13, so ordered the battery through Amazon's seller, Ace Comp Solutions, for delivery by 12/7-12. Ultimately, the tracking had to arriving on 12/11/23. At ~10:00p, I was alerted that it's running late and now for delivery on 12/15. As this was after I would be leaving town, I decided to purchase the battery locally (Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL), at Batteries Plus on 12/12. The only salesperson in the store (Dcraft, was the name on the receipt) located the battery and sold it to me for $40.84. When I got home, I noticed that the BAT alert was not on the ADT panel anymore. I contacted ADT to find out how/why that could happen. Apparently, if your system has no electricity for some time, the BAT signal can display, then disappear once the system resets. This could have been my situation, because I was awoken by the beeping and was not aware my electricity was off. So, I decided to return the battery to Batteries Plus the next day. When I walked into the store, the same salesman immediately remembered me, from the day before. I told him that I needed to return the battery as I don't need it anymore. He asked me to explain why. I told him the BAT signal wasn't on panel anymore and explained how/why it happened, according to ADT'. He raised an eyebrow at me, inferring I was lying. He asked if I installed it. I explained that I didn't, as there was no need to, He took the plastic caps off the end of the battery connectors, with his eyebrow still raised, and asked,, "Do you see what I see?" I said, "No." He said the prongs were missing on the connectors. I told him that I never took the plastic caps off and he never took them off to check it before he sold it to me. I told him that I was extremely insulted and want my refund. (The name on the return receipt was Jcortez, but it was the same person that sold me the battery the day before. Tall & heavyset w/ facial hair.) I was pissed! It may be a societal thing, or a "his" generational thing, but, I am an older lady and felt bullied and intimidated by his piss-poor customer service and will have to think long and hard about patronizing Batteries Plus again. Suggestion: Amazon's seller, Ace Comp Solutions, had excellent customer service. read more

12 month full warranty is not a warranty at all. I took my battery in to get checked out and possibly utilize my 12 month full warranty. The associate that helped me first tried to say it was a 6 month warranty. I had to tell him that they told me 12 months when i bought it. He had to check then agreed it was a 12 month warranty. Then said that because of neglect I couldn't use the warranty. Even though the battery was just taken out of my scooter. I'm pretty sure coming in there they were trying anything they could to not give me a warranty. I won't believe them when they tell me about a "full year warranty" again and neither should you. But I'll be buying my batteries from somewhere else from now on anyway. read more

Let's just say wow. I found this is an option to get a new battery in my phone, made an appointment a week in advance for Saturday, then show up on said Saturday and they did not have the battery in stock, what's the point of an appointment. Also, I was also going to have them program a new key to my car, and When walking out to my car with him, for some reason he crossed the parking lot and went into a random unlocked car..I thought it was his car and he was getting something out of it. But then he started plugging his device into the random car while I was at my car looking at him, then I walked over and he was very shocked. Luckily the customer in the store didn't see him go into his car. Programming worked and I paid. They were ordering the phone battery for the following weekend. The next Saturday I go back in, drop my phone off for them to replace the battery. When I came back I asked them about the phone still being water resistant and they told me once the seal is broken it won't be the same. Kind of wish they would have let me know that in advance. Regardless I went to check out and they tried to charge me $120 versus the $70 I was quoted online. all in all, they got the job done. Lesson learned, always lock your car, call ahead to make sure they have the battery, read all the fine print on the thing you sign in case the waterproof is an issue. I ordered a 6vokt battery from these guys for my classic 49 Plymouth and was very disappointed. I ordered thru there website which said they had in stock after I paid I got a call saying they didn't have it. It would take 2-3 days to get so reluctant but said ok after a week and no response from them I called to cancel my order which they did so. Only to find out they had a battery just like the one I ordered for a 5 dollars difference. Any good company would of offered me this other battery. Customer service is NOT very good here at all. Now it's a week later still no battery and now there telling me it will take 48 hrs to get my money back when it only took 2 minutes for it to be taken out of my account. I needed to replace my house batteries in the motor home so I came here. Employees are great and helpful. My only problem is with the batteries. After sitting in the motor home for 10 days they went dead. I took them out and went back and had them tested, One was just over 6 volts and the other just over 5. They put them on charge and after 30 hrs they were only up to 50%. Now I am concerned about the quality and how long will they actually last. I was told that it was my fault for not charging them. I have had motor homes for over 8 yrs and have never had a problem like this. My last batteries lasted 7 yrs with no problems. Is it my fault or not, not really sure... 2/19/2017 - Update. The batteries were fully charged after 2 days. Hopefully they will stay that way. So far so good. Thanks for you help guys.... read more

I wish I could leave zero stars, because the poor workmanship along with terrible service really do not even deserve a pity star. Over the weekend I missed the counter and my iPhone plummeted to the tile floor, although I have a shock absorbing case it fell in just the right way to completely shatter. Unfortunately I could not get into the Apple store until Thursday, given that like most mid thirty year old Americans these days, I could not live without a phone for almost a week I took it to Batteries Plus Bulbs for Cregg to fix, which was a terrible mistake. First I was told that it would be an hour, I came back and was told that they had a lot more phones come in and it was now going to be two hours. Annoyed by this, when I returned I got my phone and continued on with my weekend. When I went to use it for the first time I noticed the new screen was raised where you could see through the phone and enough where you could not push it back into place it also was not responding to touch like it should. So I took it back to Cregg, he blamed me for dropping my phone and said that I had bent my frame and was lucky that he was even able to fix it. He advised the screens unresponsiveness was because I had too many apps opened. Granted I am not an IT person, but I know enough to know he was BSing me right off. When I was told that "I came in with a broken screen and he fixed my screen, so what else did he expect that he do" I left, because obviously the conversation was not going anywhere. I took my phone to another store to get fixed, I was told that I was given a bent part, then shown with a level where it was bent, they said it would be unlikely to bend a frame that much given I had a case as well, they advised I go back to Batteries Plus Bulbs and ask for my old screen and a refund, so I did. Initially Cregg did not believe that I went to another store, because I suppose normal people have what has now been 3 hours to just waste on a weekend day and want to lie about it? He did eventually call his manager, I could hear their very loud conversation speaking very unkindly about their customer and was eventually given a refund and after 45 more minutes as well as my old screen back. Cregg continued to speak poorly about me, while I waited in the store, loud enough for me to hear until I left. I now had made it to Thursday and my Apple Store appointment, unfortunately for me, Apple could not fix my phone because I was MISSING too many internal parts. MISSING as in, not only did they initially try to put a broken part on my phone, they then did not put all the parts back (likely the cause of my screen not responding to touch). So now not only is my phone broken, it is broken to the point where I need to buy a new phone because of their workmanship. I waited until my refund processed to write this review, so I suppose they earned their one star for getting one thing right and if you made it all the way to the end of this review, hopefully you will go to another vendor to fix your screen, as Batteries Plus Bulbs does not deserve your business. There are plenty of places to go in Jacksonville and the Apple store will fix your phone screen for $129, chose ANYWHERE else. read more

Deceptive business practices. Purchased one 3V coin battery for $3.49 plus tax and when got home to use it saw that it said "not for individual retail sale". Called store and they advised never noticed that before but checked and said they see it. They called back after talking to their Regional Manager and said that the person who sold it made a mistake as it is sold in a 2-pack for $7.98. Wow -- you buy 2 batteries and would pay $1 more than if you bought 2 individual batteries. Generally, it is the opposite -- you pay less. read more
