Great for date night, girls night out, family time or honestly anything!…read more I did the pottery date night class and it was so awesome! It starts out with a small cocktail hour (no alcohol, other beverages and finger foods) in the clay studio gift shop. You get some time to look some cool stuff on display and can purchase them too! The actual pottery making was around 90mins, 60mins on the wheel and about 30mins to glaze the piece. There is one main instructor and a few assistant instructors that walk around and help you out. You watch a demo first and then get hands on at making your own bowl! The instructors are really patient and if you mess up, they'll hand you another ball of clay. I screwed up many of my pieces and got super embarrassed but they'd joke and make it fun. You get to pick 2 pieces to keep out of all the ones you make during the 60mins. I ended up with 2 small succulent pots, super excited to put my plants in! The glazing is pretty simple. There are a handful of basic colors to choose from and you just paint them on. Afterwards the studio will fire the pieces and then ship then to an address you designate. We got ours a little earlier than 2weeks so it was a nice surprise! I would definitely go to another session again and may even commit to the longer semester classes...just need to free up time . If you're considering this, definitely do it!

Cannot recommend this location more! Solidcore is hands-down one of the hardest exercise classes…read moreI've ever taken. While it's challenging physically, I always leave feeling very empowered and encouraged. If it is your first time or even first 15 times going I recommend taking the "Starter50" or "Foundation50" class. There are very precise movements included in the classes and in order to prevent injury or feeling overwhelmed, it's probably best to familiarize yourself with the Reformer machine and typical movements included in Pilates. The class is typically representative of the diversity in Philadelphia and there are people of many different body sizes/shapes and fitness levels present. The instructors have always introduced themselves to me and asked (in a non-threatening or embarrassing way) if I need modifications. I do not feel overwhelmed or judged during class which is something I am very critical of in a studio. If you're on the fence about trying I highly recommend! Just know that you're gonna be sore for a week after your first time!!

Coming up on a year of Retro Spring Garden membership and I do really enjoy this gym. It's located…read moretwo blocks from my apartment which obviously checks the convenience box, but its set up is also laid out in such a way that is conducive to solid workouts for actual bodybuilders and regular folk alike. Liberal use of the massage bed and probably 150 protein shakes (which are delicious) on top of that have made my experience well rounded. Staff is super solid and the place is almost always in the process of being cleaned (which is nice). Only drawback is I've gone in and immediately walked out maybe twice due to the sheer volume of humans being insurmountable. I think if they removed the turf and added more machines (another inverted leg press chief amongst them, tricep dip machine, seated row machine, another one or two cable crossover machines, etc) this place would truly be firing on all cylinders. The turf is almost always virtually empty save for maybe a couple people stretching and one person pushing a sled. Lone critique aside, big fan of Retro Spring Garden and will be a member for as long as I live in this area.

A lot of Temple students fill the gym during the afternoon, around 3 pm and onward. The parking situation is also another headache, it is limited to two hours with the threat of towing and is located a slight walk away. No on-site parking.

I'm going to start this with saying if you want ghetto and not organized! BABY fill out an…read moreapplication to live there. I'm so disgusted to even give this place ANY STARS! From the maintenance men trying to run in and out of people houses at 8PM to catch up on back work because their manager allows people to do what they want until her manager ties down on her because the state is coming and they don't want to get anything docked off of their audit! I just truly don't know where to start!!! Should I start with the landlord saying the reason all of the apartments burn down because of someone boyfriend? Like literally gossiping on the phone to me about another tenant and that has nothing to do with me, or should I start with the landlord manager responding to us saying " we'll you know bullets travel " when bullets hit my door? Or should I start with the landlord saying you can't have company over ? Any visitor? How do when I'm paying for where I lay my head at ? and mind you the rent is on time? Or them having their picks saying that no one can't have pets but the landlord is the same one that will come check your place out and tell you to hide the dogs or you don't have to move your grill it's fine& don't even get me started you go to the corner where the parking / fence is at you can hear her maintenance men talking about the landlord like a dog about how she doesn't do her work? she always backed up! and she waits to the last minute... you pay rent to live there , the laundromat that is on site is always always opening late... it's sick! I wouldn't wish someone having to live there on anyone because I know if both people would talk about eachother behind one another backs I can just imagine the mess you will have them both playing the blame game because they can't handled what they do for a living and I don't even want that stress!!! Plus i don't think anyone deserve that stress , plus I'm a firm believer don't think for a second you're going to pick and choose when to enforce rules you have to be consistent! The area is trying to become diverse but the mess that you deal with when it comes to the landlord being lazy unorganized and her boss talking in circles because she's not clear is enough in itself.

I wouldn't recommend booking with this company if there's any chance you need to cancel…read more I scheduled with them and approx 5 hours later called to cancel because my son had already set up a drivers test appointment elsewhere. They were pushy and pretty insistent that I keep my appointment because of "high"PayPal fees. This rubbed me the wrong way because none of this is posted on their website. Was also told I needed a supervisor to discuss any refunds. She didn't call. When I called back the second day she was again very off putting and warned me of a heavy PayPal fees for getting refunded but didn't know how much the fees are. Now mind you, I didn't use PayPal at all I used my credit card but was told they use PayPal as a third party. (Cop out excuse) and also somewhat shady because any legitimate business would have their own business bank account which doesn't need a third party. I was charged a $35 refund fee. When I called PayPal to ask about this fee they said they had no record of this payment whatsoever and if they had, fees would be on the merchant and not the consumer. This feels like a company who no matter what will take a cut of any money they can get. I will be disputing the final $35 with my credit card company not because of the money but on principle for this shady deal. SIDENote: had a great experience with Defensive Driving Academy and was a fraction of the price that these scammers charge. UPDATED: the owner of this business did contact me and gave me a the rest of my refund. It was obvious she cared to make this right and assured me that she would be communicating with her staff regarding customer service. I appreciated that and have respect for her making good of this situation. She clearly understands good customer service and wasn't wasting any time to resolve this matter.
