My review is of the clinic/staff itself. Dr Roman is fantastic, he's Amazing, friendly, all that good stuff. When I first met him in the ICU and when I saw him again at the clinic he still had that same positive energy so he gets 5 stars Now, the ones that be answering the phones/receptionist I just knew with them being rude on the phone that they most likely was going to be the same way in person. I sure wasn't wrong. When I first called them to make an appointment they seemed annoyed, not friendly and just seem they were just having a bad day. I kept having to get rescheduled because of my insurance and each time I called they just seemed like they hated their jobs. When I finally showed up for my appointment the receptionist were the same way. Not welcoming, no smiles, not friendly and seemed to be bothered by questions and overall they just look miserable/tired. I'm all about customer service and usually will not come back to a place where the customer service is bad. Since this was the place that I had to follow up with post hospital discharge, i wouldn't come back here

He immediately referred me to an electrophysiologist, (something the other Dr wouldn't do) they both worked hand in hand on my care 6 mths later the ICD was removed! I guess he couldn't take someone who didn't appreciate his utter lack of social skills or compassion. If you choose him, be aware that if you ever have a disagreement, you are in for a long search for a new cardiologist since most cardiologists belong to this group and he has the power to ban you from ALL of them. I joke with the Dr. by having my stop watch on my phone ticking off the minutes until I'm seen. If he slips from 4 minutes after getting placed in a room to 7 minutes, I chide him about it. Every medical office in this region should go here to see just how an office is supposed to run. And dear Doctors, make no mistake, there are those of us out here that Will Not sit in your waiting rooms for an hour or two, waiting on You when your staff made the blasted appt time. The staff was 100% friendly, helpful, pleasant and professional. Preliminary paperwork was reduced to a minimum since the list of meds, and relevant tests from my medical history was already in my chart. The doctor asked great and relevant questions and actually listened, and explained their rationale. I didn't feel rushed by the appointment desk, and they took extra measures to accommodate my schedule. I left feeling informed, valued and cared for. This was my first visit, and I promise to update info about consistency and new experiences as they happen.

They stated she missed onetime back in January and because the doctor is too busy they can't afford no shows. Even though that is not correct Dorthy continued to conduct her call log research to find evidence for the reason my mother was being discharged from Dr Alvarez care. This went on for about a month and it was so difficult to get in touch with anyone from the office or to return calls. I work in healthcare care and insurance and this office endangered my mom's health for their own financial benefit. Front receptionist was cold and rude to patients walking in. Definitely not a place to seek good customer service.
