Returning to the Hunter Valley to celebrate my 1 year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately getting turned away from our wedding venue as they don't offer lunch on Sundays. After sampling wine at nearby Tamburlaine, we decided on Baume as we are attending a wedding here later in the year. The weather was perfect for dining on the vine covered deck. The attentive, yet unpretentious service was impeccable despite being short staffed thanks to COVID. We were given a helpful rundown of the menu which has an emphasis on share style dining and/or generously sized pizzas. After clarifying we didn't order a side of chips each; we were served our delicious lunch of salad, kipfler potatoes and slow braised lamb shoulder. Again.... Flawless. This restaurant was wonderful and I loved the amazing service they gave. The guy that served our table was very funny and made the experience more enjoyable. The other employees were also very friendly as they put our leftover food in takeaway boxes without being asked. The food was very tasty and overall the whole experience was amazing, so I definitely recommend if your coming to the hunter valley. read more
