I've been here before for other events and I've been pleasantly surprised with how clean the facility is, minus the trash in the seats during the game from other visitors. The prices are what you'd expect from a sporting event: expensive. I do appreciate the metal detectors upon entering the building. It makes me feel a little safer in the downtown adjacent area near UNO's campus.

Parking in the aksarben garage was easy. Great spot for hockey games! I had a seat pretty high up but could still easily see everything. The UNO game was awesome! Adorable how they have cheerleaders and a pep band and everything.

Really nice venue for a UNO hockey game! The seats were really comfy, which makes a difference when you're sitting in them for hours at a time. The entrance process was smooth, some long lines but they took care of them pretty quickly. It's worth mentioning they have a clear bag policy. It was quick getting in despite that though. I really liked that they have local craft beer options available! We got Kinkaider, even one of the custom Mavericks ones, and the Big Grove Oktoberfest. Good food options too, and some local! My husband got a brat and he enjoyed it, I got a chick fil a sandwich that I probably wouldn't get again. The bun was totally crushed and you could tell it had been packed up in a cooler for a few hours. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to another event, hopefully hockey game, here!

Great place for a GRADUATION ...lots of room for everyone ..you could see from every seat...handicap seating was great as well for our party. The temperature was absolutely perfect! Lots of 2925 items to purchase and snack and drink stands.very well organized.

Such a great event space! Attended my sister's graduation here as well had my own graduation here in 2018. Love coming here for concerts as well.

I've gone here so many times for UNO basketball and hockey games and every time I've came here I've always had great experiences. Every event here is set up to give the audience an authentic and cool experience, and everyone there is nice and no one has ever treated me and my family badly there if you ever have an event that is located in this arena you will have the best experience ever.

We were just here for a Hockey game, needless to say, but we had a blast! I love this arena, it's not too big and you can have a pretty good view wherever you sit. The facility has plenty of bathrooms and it's clean and kept up. Looking forward to the next event at this venue.

The Jet Award was held at Baxter Arena. Parking was easy to find, based on having access to the secure lot. The club level was extremely crowded, in fact too crowded for my comfort. Once the program started, being on the arena floor was comfortable. The sound system was good, and the video was decent during the program. Celebrities from the NFL past were announced, and the mayor of Omaha made an appearance. Overall, it's a good venue to hold this award ceremony at Baxter.

I gave Baxter Arena a five star rating because one my dad has been a season ticket holder for about the whole time the stadium has been created lol. But I also like it because the stadium is clean. If you have kids, it's a great idea to bring them here because you were able to give players high-fives when they're coming back in to the locker room or at locker room. After the game if they win, they have a fight song. Great way to get players to sign pucks. I've honestly been coming here for like my entire life. They've usually head home games every Friday and Saturday. On some occasions they have a Friday Sunday series which means instead of the games starting at 7:07pm they start at like 6:07. During intermission and they have a Chick-fil-A parachute drop. You always get a free Chick-fil-A tag Which usually comes with the other free chicken sandwich or eight piece nugget. For the second coupon both times I've done it. I've got an a godfathers, three dollars off a large pizza, and a buy one get one free PepperJax coupon. The stadium is really clean. They have three main concession stands, and they have some small other concession stands such as cold stone, Dippin dots and nacho stand a Durango's time out which has hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and drinks. Durango is the mascot he's always interacting with people. Go, Mavs! Bonus Baxter Arena also hosts volleyball and basketball. This is College hockey. But the arena is off-campus nearby the arena just like a five minute walk are some lacrosse fields. And also a baseball stadium . There are three parking lots. And needs Area right next to the stadium or you get a place to eat. My favorite one would be Gandolfo's. The concession stands are owned and operated by Savor. They also have a Lawlors stores where you can buy official game pucks, jerseys, replica jerseys, mini hockey sticks

Great arena for large events--especially UNO athletics. I attended a UNO basketball game and had fantastic seats that cost about $15. Concession lines were understandably long during breaks between the action, but kept moving swiftly. The food was good too--serving Raising Canes, a few other arena staples, even a veggie burger. The prices are a bit gouged, but hey, what do you expect? With a central location and adequate parking, it's easy to get in and out of Baxter Arena, plus there are many of great places to pre-game/post-game at nearby Aksarben Village. While the Omaha area might have a few too many small arenas at the moment, Baxter serves its purpose of being a home for UNO's main events and anchoring Aksarben as one of the best entertainment districts in the region.

Baxter Arena is a cozy little arena that is perfect for UNO and the surrounding neighborhoods. Before you even reach the building, the roads and parking lots are easy to navigate. I think the venue could use a little more handicapped parking because we did have a small issue with one of our group, but otherwise it was easy as pie. Plus the parking was free so we didn't want to complain too much. Once you're inside, the arena is quaint, well laid out and easy to walk through for whatever event you're attending. There are plenty of bathrooms and the concessions are easy to find. While the sight lines are nice and easy from all spots, if you're a well fed husky person such as myself you might want to buy a ticket in the lower bowl because those seats are a little wider than their cozier counterparts in the upper deck.

Great place to attend an event. Went there recently for a hockey game and my husband's business had a suite reserved. Very attentive service and yummy catered food. Usually parking is not too bad. As is normal at places like this, food and beverages are pricey, but that's to be expected. The Baxter Arena has a good layout and is kept very clean, even during times when there is an event being held. It's nice they are right across the street from the Aksarben area, for dinner or cocktails before or after an event. I also like that they have a local company on stand-by for medical emergencies that may occur.

Just an awesome ice-skating rink/loop and venue for everybody! Skate rentals available on site…read more Plenty of grab bars for anyone that's feeling a little insecure. This year-round facility offers ice-skating in winter months and rollerskating in nicer weather. Plenty of places to people watch. Located next to the ConAgra campus and near the old market allows for plenty of restaurant food options before and/or after a little fresh air. Metered street (free on Sundays and holidays) and nearby garage parking is available. Recommend this venue for a little bit of outdoor fun! Open daily after 11 AM, check website for any updates.

I look forward to this event every year!…read more If you don't know this is a month long charity event held downtown. It supports the food banks and money raised from the rink goes to feed hungry mouths. Each ticket is $5 per person even if you bring your own skates. They do accept credit cards and you are encouraged to bring shelf stable items for donations that you put in this big blue bins. Kids under 5 are free. There is a very over priced "cafe" that I've never gotten anything at; a tiny glass of swiss miss cocoa is $2.00. A small hot dog is like $5.00 but I think it comes with chips(?) There are a couple big red tents set up where you can sit and hang out if skating isn't your thing and sometimes they have performances. The photos I uploaded were from one of them. Some of them I think are going to the Olympics they were really good! The cutest one was a who and the Grinch. So adorable!! The rink itself is okay, I wish it was bigger to be honest with you but you do with what you have. I also wish they'd smooth it out more often because after awhile it gets very liquidy and grooved. Makes skating kinda scary if you're like me and very uncoordinated. Be prepared to sign a waiver also, if you hurt yourself don't plan on suing ConAgra or anyone else at this place. If you bring a child you must sign a waiver for them and if you bring someone else's child THEIR parent or legal guardian must sign it and they bring it to the rink. You are not allowed to do it for them. You can download and print the waivers off the website. Again please keep in mind this is a holiday event and for 2014 the hours were: Friday, December 12 through Sunday, January 4, 2015 Sunday - Thursday: 1 - 10 pm Friday & Saturday: 1 pm - midnight Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve: 1 - 5 pm Closed Christmas & New Year's Day To wrap it up, yes it's super fun and I think everyone should at least TRY to ice skate once in their lives. I hug the wall the whole time like a baby but I still have fun doing it.

4 Stars - Great facility, but scheduling and supervision need improvement…read moreThe Moylan Iceplex is a really nice facility overall. Having two rinks makes it easy for them to host a wide variety of activities, and there's almost always something going on. Between public skating, club hockey, adult ("old man") leagues, stick-and-puck sessions, and other events, it's a very active place for the hockey community. The staff have always been friendly in my experience, which makes a big difference. The facility itself is well set up, with places to eat and even a small arcade area, which is great if you're bringing kids or family members who aren't skating. Prices for skating sessions and activities are also pretty reasonable compared to many rinks. My main frustration is the scheduling. The posted schedules sometimes change without notice, which can be really frustrating when you drive there expecting ice time and find out it was changed or canceled. The other concern is supervision. During public skating especially, there often appears to be little or no monitoring on the ice. With a lot of kids skating at once, things can get chaotic and occasionally dangerous. Overall it's a great facility with a lot going for it, but better schedule management and more active supervision would make a big difference.

2 Stars - Great facility and knowledgeable staff, but stick-and-puck experience is frustrating…read more Grover Ice is a really nice rink in many ways. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, which is a huge plus, especially if you're involved in hockey regularly. The facility itself is well designed, and the seating setup is much better than some other local rinks. You can go upstairs and watch the ice from above, which is actually very comfortable and makes it easy to follow what's happening without freezing like you sometimes do at other rinks. They also have food available and even serve alcohol, which adds to the overall experience for parents or spectators. The locker rooms are in much better condition than other local rinks as well. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is their stick-and-puck sessions. They allow coaches to come in and run drills with kids, which essentially takes up half the ice. On top of that, teams sometimes show up and start practicing, which ends up taking over another portion of the rink. They will place an extra net in the middle, but realistically it becomes very difficult to find space to just skate and work on your own skills. Considering what you pay for ice time, it's frustrating when the session turns into a partial team practice instead of open ice. Even more disappointing is that when this concern has been brought up, it doesn't seem like management is particularly interested in addressing it. Grover Ice has a lot going for it as a facility, but the way stick-and-puck is managed makes it hard to justify going if you're hoping for a fair chance to actually skate and practice.
