The worst company I have ever dealt with WARNING do not use Bay Alarm There equipment is garbage there Techs are the worst and the people that work there are not helpful at all. Unbelievable poor service. Installed new system 2 weeks ago (12/15/2023). On Saturday, 12/30/2023 at 6:00am was unable to disarm system which was set to 'Sleep' mode. Called Dispatch, was told they were unable to connect to my panel to disarm system. Told me they would contact Emergency repair in 2 hours or more. They told me they were unable to connect to my panel and could not do anything to disarm system remotely and told me there was no 'Fail Safe' system to disarm system. Told me if I triggered alarm by leaving my bedroom they would ignore alarm and not call Police. The alarm would then sound for approx. 12 minutes before timing out. Finally, after repeatedly entering disarm code the system disarmed. Then had the gall to tell me there would be a $120.00 service call. This new unit is obviously faulty and needs to be replaced. Told me their normal business hours were Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm. What kind of security business works on this schedule. Given the New Year holiday they will not contact me till Tuesday, Jan 2nd. Meantime I cannot use the system for fear of not being able to disarm again. This is theft of service. read more

I'm not all happy with this "alarm" company. We had it installed 21 years ago in our rural home. Crime here is almost non existent but at the time, I was pregnant and my husband was 500 miles away every night. Over the years, we never had consistent contact. Only when they wanted to upsell our system did they contact us. We were in Hawaii one spring when the alarm was tripped. They contacted us via cell after the alarm had been blaring for 20 minutes. The few times our alarm was tripped, we were never called to see why. Had we not called them, nothing would have happened. We pay a handsome amount every month for a non existent service. This morning our 18 yo took off for work without turning the alarm off. It was close to 7:30am. The alarm blared for almost 70 seconds before it was shut off by myself. No one called from Bay, even after 10 minutes. So I called their 800 number and got a computer trying to sell me advanced systems. It's time for a change, it's throwing money to the wind.‍ read more

The installers came out and the alarm was not able to be installed due to our location. We asked to cancel our contract. This was on a Saturday. The following Friday they charged my account $100. We called to get a refund and Belinda said will not refund us because it was an admin fee for sending the tech out. Absolutely not true! We had to call corporate to get our refund. Then I received a call from sales trying to talk me out of canceling my contract. When I didn't change my mind he got irritated. I do NOT recommend this Alarm Co. read more

Our experience as a business with Bay Alarm, specifically Belinda, has been delightful. They really do keep the needs of the customer in mind. You here that phrase a lot these days, but Bay Alarm really does look at what is best for the customer. Based on how they treated us, I am going to assume that they take every situation or challenge on a case-by-case basis and they make sure in the end that they have a happy customer. I had a communication error that wasn't detected for 30 days. Apparently if you have a landline phone and your landline goes down BAY ALARM will not know for 30 days, nor will they contact you to tell you that your service isn't working. However, you are still expected to pay for the service you weren't even receiving. I was advised they only check the communication lines every 30 days. Very disappointed in their service. If I would have had an emergency within the 30 days that my lines were down, I wouldn't have been covered. The whole point in having a security system is to feel protected. Bay Alarm failed to monitor and let me know there was a problem, which they were being paid to do. Be cautious if your system is on a landline. read more

We had our security system installed at our business this week. The sales department was not pushy. The installation crew were fast. It was supposed to be a 2 day install but they did it in 1 day. They also bring their own vacuum to clean up any mess they made. I couldn't even tell they had been there. It is really great to be able to see our cameras, live, from my house or arm and disarm, remotely. I went with Bay Alarm because they are local and they are reliable.
