I called multiple contractors, 1 was on vacation, 3 others responded. 1 of those 3 never returned an estimate, and Greg beat the 3rd guy's "guesstimate " by about half. Greg shows up when he says he will, and stands by his word. He shorted himself in his quote, but said a deal is a deal, and stood by his quoted estimate. I hired Greg to upgrade our power panel at house from 100amp service to 200amp service, and then run power 168 feet to my new shop building, then installed panel inside building, wire and hang super bright led light fixtures. I also had him install multiple 110 outlets and two 220 outlets, 1 for welder, other for compressor. He completed job in a very timely manner, was very careful of things in his way and the job looks high and tight......very well done and professional. He also saw I had temporarily installed 3 fixtures in my kitchen/dining area, and offered to install them permanently and properly. This involved attic work on one of the hottest days so far this year. Greg will be my first call for any future electrical needs. Saw a comment about some of these reviews being fake simply because poster only has 1 review posted and it's of Schork Electric. I am SO happy with Greg--owner of Schork Electrical. He replaced the fan switch in my ceiling fan. The chain had broken off inside the housing, and the only way to turn my fan off was to turn it off at the breaker box--which meant turning all electric off in the master bedroom and bath. Greg arrived on time and was efficient, polite, and friendly. Greg had given me a more than fair quote on the phone. Another electrician had given me a quote four times the price of Greg's. Yet another electrician told me that all told it would cost me less to purchase a new fan and have him install the new fan. THAT was certainly not the case. Not only did Greg stick to his quote, but he even bartered with me! I probably won't need an electrician again for a long time. I am 76 years old; so just in case I can't remember his name 15 years from now, I put a large sticker with Greg's name, company name, and phone number (sticker provided by Greg) on my breaker box. Oh, my fan had originally been mounted incorrectly. I had done an amateur fix on the problem; but Greg did a professional fix on that problem and did not charge me any extra. read more

After doing some research, we chose Schork Electric to do a couple small electrical repairs. Both involved going through some drywall. An earlier quote from another electrical company had multiple feet of drywall being removed as well as adding the electrical cable and outlets. Greg Schork was able to get the job done with removing a 6-inch X 2-inch section of drywall which was very easily repaired. We was so impressed, we immediately asked if Greg would be available to rewire our pool lights and outside plugs which some worked and some did not. He was able to come back and finish on a Sunday when I was able to be home and explain what we wanted. Greg is very knowledgeable, texted pictures of his progress while working, and was upfront with estimates and costs. Had an HVAC company come out and fail to notify us that our breaker wasn't big enough to handle the load. Instead they installed their equipment and we were left with surges. Called Greg and he came out and immediately diagnosed and verified this was the issue. He set out a plan and was upfront about any issue that could arise and the cost. He kept us involved in the permit process and how he was working with PG/E. On the day of the install he was punctual and worked quickly and efficiently. A small problem came up after the install and he came out and fixed it immediately (the problem wasn't his fault, previous owners fault) at no cost to us. Both Greg and his team showed up on time, acted professionally, finished the job quickly, and charged competitively. I have an older home with an equally old electrical system and Greg was able to work through it and come up with an affordable solution to my problem. I have had Schork Electrical come to my rescue several times now.. First was ceiling lights and fans. Second was when it snowed so hard I lost all power to my house Greg and crew showed up at 5 pm and worked until around 2 am... replacing electrical hook up the house. Because of the great service i got from Schork Electric I called again with a fairly large list of what I would like done. Greg came out to the house made a list of what I wanted done, suggested some better solutions than what I had came up with. The problem was that during the pandemic the electrician community seemed to be staying at home with the rest of us or installing stand by generators for the upcoming PG&E torture during fire season. Great service! I called Greg this morning about a circuit breaker issue. He said he had an opening today, and he would be here between 12 and 2.
